Iphone only shows itunes and usb logo and computer or itunes don't reconise the phone
Can't to a restore and error 14 keeps coming up, have uninstalled/reinstalled itunes and have turned off anti virus and still doesn't do anything

How to get mp3s from the cd to my iPhone library in iTunes when I hook the phone up to my iMac
Always before I hook the iphone up to the imac and open up itunes it recognized the phone and synced. Then you click on the phone and you had a choice of "on this phone" and it would show the folders and songs on the phone. Now, when I hook it up it, it will recognize and sync, but there is no "on this phone" choice and I do not know how to get songs or mp3's from my cd that is in the computer drive to my iphone in itunes. Where did this choice go? How do I get things from a disc to my phone?
Your post is confusing to me because I don't understand the process you are describing. Normally, you would import your CD music into iTunes, then sync your iPhone to iTunes, capturing the music on your iPhone. The "On This Phone" tab would be irrelevant.
Anyway, you can see "On This Phone" by pressing the iPhone icon toward the top of the iTunes window when the iPhone is plugged into iTunes. "On This Phone" is a tab toward the rear (the "Summary" tab is at the front). -

Your only option is to connect your iPhone to your computer via USB (as the diagram indicates) and restore using iTunes.

my iphone 4 is not responding the screen is just showing a usb lead and the itunes symbol. when i plug it into my desktop mac and try to sync it to itunes ,itunes is telling me the phone is in a restore mode. iphone only shows logo for 13 seconds when connected to pc thats all it does however i connected to wall socket, it goes up to connect to itunes but when i unplug it then it switches off.
this is coincidently after an ios update for iphone which i did just approx two days earlier which was suppused to fix battery issues?
also battery shows 100 percent full but as i explained if disconected from socket it switches off altogether.Hopefully and most likely faulty battery. If you have Warranty or AppleCare, make Genius reservation and take to Apple for resolution.

I'm trying to recover a file and the app company said to restore from an earlier backup. My iPhone only shows the most recent backup. I've been searching the net for answers - I found the back up file and date sorted them (over 6mb of files). How can I get my iPhone to restore from an earlier backup?
I am on Windows Vista so I don't have Time Machine.
I have backed up the backup folder so if I mess it up, I have it in a separate place.
Can I just delete all the files with todays date in that backup folder and have it forced to the next oldest date?
Why doesn't the iPhone show a list of the least several backups.

Backed up to computer through iTunes (not iCloud)As you backup the iPhone in iTunes, it overwrites the last backup. Files are kept as they are changed, so that would explain how you get different dates in your backup folder. The only backups that are saved and not overwritten are the ones done just prior to a restore. You do have the option to go back in time on a Windows computer, however depending on the last time you set a restore point in Windows, it could be back further than you are willing to go.

I plugged my iphone in to do an update and it was mid way through the update when the phone was accidentally disconnected. Now the phone is stuck on the screen that shows a cable and the iTunes image suggesting the phone needs to be plugged in to iTunes. I have plugged it in, powered on and off, attempted to enter DFU mode numerous times all with no success. ITunes does not recognize the phone and I continue to only receive the screen saying I need to plug in to iTunes.. Please help!
Hold Sleep Button with Home Button toghether until it restarts Always it takes 8 to 15 seconds, after it restarts leave the sleep button and remember do not leave the home button it automaticlly switches to DFU mode.

itunes shows 1800 pictures but my phone only shows 548 and my icloud is full how can i delete pictures i cant see
i saw this under the summary tab in itunes. when you hover over photos at the bottom it shows how many pictures. i don't have it set to sync pics off of my computer files to the phone which is over 6,000 which it said when i clicked on sync photos from but i didn't sync. My phone shows 1.4GB on my camera roll while itunes, under the summary tab of my iphone shows 2.89GB.
i just read this morning to delete photos from the stream which removes them from the cloud and all synced devices. this is why i get confused because i read that on apple.com as well. -

Turn the Phone Off...
Press and Hold the Sleep/Wake Button and the Home Button at the Same Time...
The Apple logo will Appear and then Disappear...
Usually takes about 10 - 15 Seconds...

You should be able to see two different tabs when setting up the email if you go to Other > Add Mail Account. Once you enter in the email address and password, you should be at the next screen to provide more details about the email as far as incoming and outgoing servers and at the top there will be a blue section to add it in as a POP or IMAP email account. Check out the article below for further troubleshooting and emails setup options.
