IPhone Outlook sync using more than 1 folder

I have been using Outlook to sync my calendar with no problem now for quite some time.  I have 1 shared calendar across my iPhone and on Outlook on my PC.  I thought I would sync contacts as well but instead of sharing a single contact folder it has created an iPhone contacts folder on my PC.  This means I have 2 folders of contacts on my PC instead of the 1 shared folder, so it's a pain as when I'm working quickly and saving contacts duplicates are created which I then have to manually find and correct.  Is there a way of sharing a single folder with contacts in?  I'm guessing there must be as this works for the calendar.  I'm using Outlook 2013.

Select the folder you want to start with and select the photos and click book - then go to the other folder(s) and drag the photos you want to add to the book project that was created in the last step - you can drag photos from albums or from events to the book project

  • IPhone 4 sync to more than one computer

I have iPhone 4 that I want to sync iTunes library to more than one computer (1 iMac and 1 PC). PC was previously synced with old device. I want to sync iTunes library currently on iPhone and override data on PC. How do I do this? I do NOT want iTunes library currently on PC and override iPhone.

    You do not do this.
Iphone will, and always has, only sync pics and itunes content to ONE computer. IF you sync to another it will erase the current content, then replace with content from the new computer.
This is by design and as intended.
    Sorry.

  • FIOS DVR Manager for iPhone - can I use more than one iPhone?

Can the FIOS DVR manager be used from more than one iPhone for the same DVR?

Only one device can be used at a time to program your ASTB. In theory, you can use different phones however, each time you switch devices you will need to register the phone and obtain a new authorization code to access your ASTB.

  • Syncing iphone using more than one computer

Does anyone know how to get iphone to sync to more than one computer? I activated my wife's iphone from my computer (after having logged into her itunes account) but when I try to sync from her computer (logged into her account) nothing happens.

You can, but you can only sync one type of information with each computer. Here are the instructions I followed to sync my two computers. Hope they help.
How to Sync with Two Computers
You can sync your iPhone with only ONE media library. However, it is possible to sync the media library with one computer (like your home computer), and the contacts/calendar information with another computer (like your work computer). I have this working on two PCs with Windows XP. I have read posts of folks doing it with two Macs, and with one Mac and one PC.
This is not sanctioned by Apple, so I dont know if these steps are "correct". I only know that these are the steps I followed and worked for me. Your mileage may vary.
    1. Select "Disable automatic syncing for all iPhones" under Edit / Preferences / iPhone in the iTunes menu.
    2. Uncheck "Automatically sync when this iPhone is connected" in the Summary tab of iTunes.
    3. Check "Only sync checked items" in the same tab.
    4. On the computer you want to sync contacts and calendar, check the corresponding boxes in the Info tab. UNCHECK everything else in the MUSIC, PHOTOS, PODCASTS and VIDEO tabs.
    5. Sync your iPhone with this computer FIRST.
    6. On your other computer, follow the same steps above (1, 2 and 3). Then, UNCHECK everything in the INFO tab, and check everything else on the other tabs.
    7. When you sync with this second computer, you may get a message that the iPhone has already been synced with another computer, and that the media library will be deleted. Fine. There should be NO media library on the iPhone since you unchecked all the media items on the first computer, right?
    8. Sync. Then you can sync on both computers and each will sync what is checked and not overwrite the rest.

  • Using more than one computer...

I've been trying to wrap my head around syncing using more than one computer and want to see if I have it right.
Obviously the easiest arrangement is to have one computer and one iphone (and if you want, one mobileme acct) and keep them in sync in all departments.
Most people have more complicated lives.
When there is more than one computer involved the basic idea is that all media and apps can only come from one computer. That is the computer/itunes program associated with the iphone.
When it comes to a second computer, one can still sync contacts, calendars, (notes? bookmarks?) but no media/apps.
That is to say, you can't download a podcast or song on the second computer and get it onto your iphone without erasing your iphone media library.
Is that the basic idea? A distinction between media/software and data?
One grey area: Can voice memos be moved from an iphone onto a second computer without losing media?
    Thanks,
    D.

If you sync to a computer without media, it will wipe all media off the phone. It's easier to stick to one computer. If you want to sync other things, calendars etc it's better to do it via WiFi or Data.

Yes. Use the option to sync with selected playlists on the music tab when your devices are connected.

Sim free is not enough, you can use different sim if it's unlock.

Can I use more than one blue-tooth device at the same time on IPhone 4S? Like a wireless headsets and speed and cadence sensor for cycling computer, receive the data and listen music simultaneously

As long as the profiles are different (ex. HID vs AD2P) you will not have any issues. But say if you try to use 2 keyboards at once, it won't work. Or 2 headsets at once. Your scenario seems fine.

  • Can my iPhone 4 be synced to more than one computer?

I don't have access to the original computer that my iPhone 4 was synced too. I have a new iPhone 4s due to a contract upgrade, and want to transfer the information from my old phone to my new. However, when my boyfriend has tried to synch it with his computer, by choosing the backing up option in iTunes nothing actually happens. I really don't want to lose the information on my old phone. What can I do please?

The short answer is no. You can't sync to more than one computer at a time.
The longer answer is contained in one of the many many threads about this exact same subject that are already posted in these forums.

  • "this iPhone has used more than 5 apple id's" please help.

I have my friend's iPhone 4 but I have restored the phone, still when I try to log in into iCloud, it gives me an error "this iPhone has used more than 5 apple id's" please help.

You think you are logging into icloud, but the error you get indicates that you are trying to create a new account.  Since each device has a limit to the number of ID it can create (you seem to have reached that limit), then IF you are trying to create a new account, you'll have to use a different device or computer to do that.  Otherwise you are not entering an ID to an existing icloud account.

  • Can't sync to more than one library at a time

I have deauthorised my desktop running XP,installed latest version of iTunes on laptop running Vista and authorised. Connected iPod to laptop and tried to sync but keep getting message that "iPod is already synced to a library and cannot be synced to more than one library at a time." How do I get my library from desktop to laptop?

*How do I get my library from desktop to laptop?*
If our iPod is large enough to hold all of your iTunes it can be used as an external drive and you can move the iTunes folder from the old computer onto it and transfer everything to the new computer: How to use your iPod to move your music to a new computer
Alternatively you can copy the contents of the iPod directly to the new computer. Connect your iPod to your new computer. When you get the message that it is linked to a different library and asking if you want to link to this one and replace all your songs etc, press "Cancel". Pressing "Erase and Sync" will irretrievably remove all the songs from your iPod. When your iPod appears in the iTunes source list change the update setting to manual, that will let you use our iPod without the risk of accidentally erasing it. Check the "manually manage music and videos" box in Summary then press the Apply button. Also when using most of the utilities listed below your iPod needs to be enabled for disc use, changing to manual update will do this by default: Managing content manually on iPod and iPhone
Once you are safely connected there are a few things you can do to restore your iTunes from the iPod. If you have any iTunes Music Store purchases the transfer of purchased content from the iPod to authorised computers was introduced with iTunes 7. You'll find details in this article: Copying iTunes Store purchases from your iPod or iPhone to a computer
The transfer of content from sources such as songs imported from CD is designed by default to be one way from iTunes to iPod. However there are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve the music files and playlists from your iPod. You'll find that they have varying degrees of functionality and some will transfer movies, videos, photos, podcasts and games as well. Have a look at the web pages and documentation, this is just a small selection of what's available, they are generally quite straightforward. You can read reviews and comparisons of some of them here:

    Comparison of iPod managers
TuneJack Windows Only (iPhone and iPod Touch compatible)
    iPod2PC Windows Only
    iDump Windows Only
    SharePod Windows Only
    iPodRip Mac & Windows
    YamiPod Mac and Windows
    Music Rescue Mac & Windows
    Floola Mac & Windows
iGadget Mac & Windows (iPhone and iPod Touch compatible)
iRepo Mac & Windows (iPhone and iPod Touch compatible)
iPod Access Mac & Windows (iPhone and iPod Touch compatible)
TouchCopy Mac & Windows (iPhone and iPod Touch compatible - Windows version only)
There's also a manual method of copying songs from your iPod to a Mac or PC. The procedure is a bit involved and won't recover playlists but if you're interested it's available on page 2 at this link: Copying Content from your iPod to your Computer - The Definitive Guide
Whichever of these retrieval methods you choose, keep your iPod in manual mode until you have reloaded your iTunes and you are happy with your playlists etc then it will be safe to return it auto-sync.

  • Sync with more than one computer

Is it possible to sync with more than one computer using the same Blackberry Curve 8310? I have a work pc and a laptop and I am using MS Outlook. I've tried syncing to both but the appointments all duplicate themselves. Is there a way to set it up so I can sync to both.
    Les

    Hello Keithj,
Welcome to the BlackBerry Support Community Forums
You can synchronize with multiple computers but there are a few considerations to take into account when doing so.
Check out the following KB article for more information:

  • Apple won't let me sync with more than one computer

How crazy is it that Apple will not let you sync with more than one computer! I have three computers! One in the kitchen one in my room and one at my parents house. These are all my computers, but if I try to sync my iphone5! with my computer at my parents house itunes says it will erase all my data! I have legally purchased all my music, so I have bought the rights! which means I can have the same songs on mutiply computers.
I've seen posts like this before, so I know Im not the only one who knows that this is unexceptable! Apple knows too! So heres how we gonna do this, **** itunes and **** apple, they can suck it! I'm sick of Apple and how they try to control everything you do, with their limited youtube video capacity because they "dont allow flash".
All Apple care about is taking your money, otherwise they would listen to what their customers are saying. These posts are on an apple site after all.
Thats my opinion, vote this up if you feel the same way.
    Thanks

I understand what you mean.  If you would have a little more technical background to what is happening when you sync and iOS device, you would understand that the reason for syncing with only one computer is not to control you but is rather to manage the syncing.
For exemple, how would you manage to backup a device on multiple computer while some songs or apps are on your iOS device but not on the computer?  Copying them back to the computer would only result in what you don't want, keeping different iTunes library on different computer.
    The very best solutions for you is either;
Make one of your iTunes library the master with ALL your media files and use this one for syncing your device.  You can easily manage all your music using automated playlist (like one for all the music with an older date you would decide).
Pay for iTunes match and ALL your song (even those you haven't bought from iTunes) to be available in the cloud for you to stream directly to your iPhone.  This however have a monthly fee.
I agree that on one thing Apple is controlling; it's by not allowing you to extract songs from an iPod.  Giving home sharing now, that would solely restrict you from illegally copying music to others.  But again, you must understand that this limitation isn't to be powerfreak, it have been required to secure the music industries and make iTunes Store possible in the first place.
And make shure you active Home Sharing as it will give you full access (stream and copy over wi-fi from any computer and iOS devices) in between your iTunes libraries.

  • Can I use more than one Apple ID on one device

I have seen some answers to this type of question before but not that since the ios 6 so will ask again. My household shares an Apple ID and it has worked great as we have added devices and purchased apps.  My problem now is this, we have hit a point where I have work things on my iPad and iPhone that I really don't need to be shared with the whole family but it isn't a major deal or security risk. I don't want to give up the advantages of having the household ID.  Is there an easy way to have another ID on my iPad and switch between them without having major complications?  I am for the most part a techie so not afraid of these kind of things but I can't afford to lose everything right now and take the time to set it all back up so getting advice here.  Thanks in advance for any help you can give.

You can use more than one apple id, but keep in mind that when apps need updating that you'll will need to sign in with correct credentials to update them.
Share an apple id for the itunes and app stores, but keep your own for icloud, facetime and messages.

iTunes Match is not sharable across Apple IDs. The best way to get the music on her iPad is to leave hers signed into her Apple ID on the iTunes Store and sync via USB.
