Iphone paired with ipad

Hey all,
I have been an android user for pretty much my entire life. I picked up an ipad mini and it is serving me well. I have the first generation. Aside from its horrible lag and having to restart every app and reload every webpage each time, i am very enjoying the ipad mini for school use and light media consumption and web surfing.
I plan to continue using the ipad mini for school. I might pick up the 2nd or even the third gen(not released yet) depending on how cheap they are during the holiday sales.
What bothers(just a little) me is that I have an ipad and an android phone. I kinda want the continuity feature carrying over from one device to another whether it be from ios to ios or android to android.
So with that being said, is it worth getting an iphone just so i can have continuity between my two devices? What do you guys think? What are the advantages of having an iphone paired with an ipad compared to having an android and an ipad?
I am skeptical because the new iphones are horrible but if the advantage is big, i might just push the trigger.
I thought about picking up an android tablet and just going with pure android across my devices but i recently bought a $100 itunes gift card.

I have the same issue when pairing with my car radio (JVC KD-X50BT). Didn't find a way to reproduce it yet, though.

Iphone paired with ipad for 2 days and now won't discover it anymore

My Iphone paired with my Ipad2 via bluetooth and was working great for a couple of days then it suddenly stopped. Now everytime I try to connect them again my iphone 3g os3.1.3 no longer discovers my Ipad or ANY devices within range. I have restarted it several times, made sure that the bluetooth on both devices is turned on, and have tried a hard reset but it still no longer works. Your only choice is to take it to an Apple Store genius bar and assuming it is toast they will offer an Out of Warranty exchange device

An iCloud email account is an IMAP account. With an IMAP account, all server stored mailboxes are kept synchronized with the server with each email client used to access the account. Unless you have changed the Mailbox Behaviors with the account settings on each device, the account's Drafts, Sent Mailbox, and Deleted Mailbox are stored on the server with each device. Any user created mailboxes are also stored on the server.
On each device, go to Settings > iCloud. Contacts and Calendars need to be turned on for over the air syncing.

On the ipad go to settings, Messages and and untick your phone number from the send and received section.
Your email address can be taken off your iphone too and then imessages to your number will go to your iphone only and imessages to you email address will go to your ipad only

You can connect it to use the iPhone as a personal hotspot for the iPad, or to transfer photos/videos via the camera connection kit. You can't connect them in order to transfer music, documents etc.

This is a user to user forum so no one here would have any idea whether there is a real problem and, if so, whether Apple is working on a fix.
Have you tried restarting or resetting your iPad?
Restart: Press On/Off button until the Slide to Power Off slider appears, select Slide to Power Off and, after the iPad shuts down, then press the On/Off button until the Apple logo appears.
Reset: Press the Home and On/Off buttons at the same time and hold them until the Apple logo appears (about 10 seconds). Ignore the "Slide to power off".

For what purpose?
The iPhone can only be paired with a computer for internet tethering.
The iPad cannot be paired with a computer at all, only headsets, stereo headphones and keyboards.

IPod touch won't "pair" with IPad 2

Has anyone been able to pair their iPod touch with their iPad? I want to use the remote on Slide Shark or Keynote to wirelessly control the presentation on my iPad and can't get them to recognize each other. Any suggestions or work-arounds? I don't have an iPhone and the apps are not supported on my Droid phone. Thanks!

For an iPhone and an iPad, the two devices just have to have Bluetooth turned on witin range and be running Keynote Remote and Keynote respectively. The two apps connect across Bluetooth; the devices do not need to pair.
Does that not work with your iPod touch?

Sync iPhone 4 with iPad

I want to use my iPhone apps on iPad and vice versa . Anybody knows how to do it. When I connect the iPhone to I tune, I can see the iphone applications. When I connect the iPad, I can't see on the desktop the application that are installed on the iPad, although I do have application installed. I don't think itune backs them up at all.
Anybody knows how to sync the apps between them using the desktop.

The problem is that tune recognize I pad but does not let go inside. When I connect iPhone I can log into the device, with the iPad connected I can just eject, that's it, nothing els. I saw that other users have the same problem but I did not see any common solution yet. I am not a newbie, I know one or two things about computers. There is a communication problem here, I have win 7 if it helps

Wireless Keyboard 2011 won't pair with iPad 2

I have an aluminuim wireless keyboard 2011 which was paired successfully with my iPad 2 (with all recent software updates).
I now can't pair it at all. Here are some details:
1. The keyboard has never been paired with anything else.
2. The keyboard goes into discovery mode (green light flashing) - but won't stop flashing, even when the silver button on the side to the right is held for more than 10secs (or even 1min!)..... so the only way to turn it off is to take the batteries out.
3. The batteries are fine.
4. The iPad searches, but doesn't find the keyboard - there are no other devices listed either.
5. Because there are no devices listed, I can't 'unpair' the keyboard - that's if it's still paired somehow in the ipad's internal brain!
6. The one time it did find it, and I tried to pair - a message came up saying I should make sure the device was turned on and that pairing was unsuccessful. This was whilst the green light continued to flash.
7. I've tried doing this in all sorts of orders: search first, then put batteries back into keyboard (light flashes); keyboard ready to go, then turn bluetooth on and search; search holding silver button on keyboard down the whole time, etc.
8. Yes - I've powered down the iPad and turned it back on again! :-P
I've tried anything I've found doing an online troubleshooting search - but nothing has worked. So far I've spent three hours on this.
There's no Apple Store near me.

In the end I had to travel an hour by train to get to an Apple Store.
After doing a complete reset on the iPad the keyboard now works. But I had to reconfigure it as a new iPad, rather than restore the backup - in case whatever caused the problem is put back onto the iPad. Which meant I could only sync apps that had their own accounts (like Evernote). I've lost all the photos, notes, Good Reader & Pages documents. :-( Wish I'd never bothered with the wireless keyboard.
And still no idea what caused the problem in the first place. So now I'll save everything that's important separately, rather than through the iCloud backup.

Synching iphone calendar with ipad

I want to be able to place events on my iphone calender when i am out of house and have them show up on my ipad calender app the one that came with ipad. It appears if I use icloud on my PC and put the event in it gets on both but I want do not have to nter the info on my desktop. I tried ynching the ipad while hooked up to computer but still no events llisted. Do I need to use a third party app for this to happen?
