IPhone panel comies up all the time in iTunes

I often leave my iphone docked and iTunes open but minimized during the work day. itunes generally plays music most of the day.
Most of the time the iphone screen is dark and itunes is displaying the currentl playlist. Every few minutes, however, the iphone will chime, show the battery charge graphic and then the itunes window will maximize and switch over to the iphone panel.
This gets pretty annoying, both because it's distracting and because when itunes is displaying the iphone panel, the aluminum keyboard's itunes keys don't work. You have to bring itunes forward and command-L to jump back to the playlist panel before the keyboard works again.
Is anyone else seeing this?

Plug the device into a wall outlet and leave it for about 20 minutes. If it has not powered on at that point try a reset by pressing and holding the home and power buttons for about 15 seconds until the white Apple logo appears.

Switch panel lights on all the time after keyboard replacement

I replaced the keyboard on my DV6000, now the keyboard works fine....but the blue lights on the switch panel are on all the time whether the machine is powered up or not. I re-connected everything per the service manual instructions, and have now triple checked my work....help!
Just as an FYI, I have 2 DV6000's, and just today replaced the trackpad on the other one, and now have the same issue with that one!!!!!
What gives?

IPhone 5 using data all the time

My husband has had his iPhone 5 for a couple of weeks. We have Verizon 300 mb plan, as he is mainly just using it for calls and text. But it is using data all the time! Today our online Verizon account is showing 59 episodes of data usage. They are small, but still, why are they there? All he has done is call and text. He would like to keep the cellular data on because he texts by talking to it. He did not send anything close to 59 texts.n was not on the Internet.
We have turned off practically everything. Location services, stocks, weather, email, notifications for everything except text and calls. Stopped it from sending data to Apple. He has added only 4 apps- cam wow, talking bird, talking cat, and free cell solitaire. Not signed in for iCloud or Facebook or anything.

Is Digi a CDMA carrier? or is it GSM/UTMS?
If CDMA, that's normal. The technology was not designed for data and calling.
If its GSM, give them a call to seek resolution.

Rainbow spinning ball comes on all the time

I work in photoshop, on pretty huge files. about 4 GB, the maximum it can take. I have 8 gb of ram (although I know CS2 can only take advantage of 3 something GB). The thing is that my computer is getting slower and slower, and I get that spinning rainbow ball ALL THE TIME. It's driving me crazy. It's come to a point now that when I start up the computer, photoshop won't even open a file. It will just spin that rainbow ball and when I go "force quit" it says "photoshop (not responding)" I restart a couple of times and then finally I get it to work.
What's a good FREE utility to download that can check for file errors? I haven't run any sort of check on my computer ever.

The only free utility to check for disk problems is Disk Utility which is included with your Mac. There is a good utility called YASU which can be used to rotate log files and clean caches. I have never used it to clear caches as that is a troubleshooting step and not needed for routine maintenance. You might want to read about basic maintenance here:

Iphone 6 shutting off all the time

I've had an original iphone and an iphone 4 that the genius bar helpers were always very easy to work with and always gave me the right of hand when i needed a replacement.
This iphone 6 has been a nightmare, I've had it for less then one month and even after it being restored it kept SHUTTING OFF all the time!!!! I explained this to the rep.
However as a misfortune, the day I had scheduled my appointment the phone fell from my computer desk and shattered
Even with the 22 reported crashes I was still forced to pay $83 dollars to get a replacement refurbished phone!!!!
I have apple care, att insurance, and none of that crap covered the phone that was obviously defective due to its cosmetics.
this was absurd and I am very upset with apple and especially with the way the genius bar is now, inconsiderate with the public, not only do i get a piece of crap refurbish phone, this one is STILL SHUTTING OFF ALL THE TIME.

Update it to 8.1 and see if that helps. Otherwise Restore it as a new iPhone, not from your backup, and see if that helps. If it does you have an app that is misbehaving. You could also have a nanoSIM that needs to be replaced.

Hi, thank you very much for your reply. No my phone was never been jailbreak-ed. Never been dropped in water or in any wet surface. Dropped on the floor while texting yes, but it was just a one time incident, last year august i can clearly remember, but after that no more (phone still works fine even after.) restored the phone again earlier, but problem still occured. Will try to go to Apple also to ask and have it checked. Just worried because my phone is already out of warranty. Will keep you posted. Again, thanks. If you have any more advice just let me know. It would mean a lot.

AppleTV and iTunes without Leaving Computer On All The Time/NAS iTunes Server

I begrudge having to leave my iMac on all the time just so now and again I can play music, pictures and video from it through AppleTV. My iMac is 2 floors up from the AppleTV, and as there is no wake on LAN working (I can't get it to work if there is (I have Lion)) I don't want to go up there to turn the Mac on when I want to use AppleTV.
So I have read some articles about iTunes servers on NAS drives and wondered if that would be a good solution, anyone try them?
If I did have my iTunes library on a NAS drive with an iTunes server, when I start iTunes on my iMac will it then load the iTunes Library as it does now like if it was a local library? So I can still manage it in the same way as I do on my Mac.
I assume then I could have another computer use the same library on the NAS? (although wont do it the same time due to conflicts)
I have iCloud/Match so not so bothered about music as I can play from the Cloud (although its hit ad miss sometimes), but I have videos and pictures I stream to AppleTV so they are more important. I don't want to have a computer left on all the time so I can use AppleTV.
If this is not possible, then I am thinking of getting a Macbook for the lounge, but then I don't want to have to plug/unplug my external hard drives into it all the time, which I am likely to swap with the main iMac too.

P.S. I only play music from iCloud as my iMac is not on. So if I can stream to AppleTV without having a computer on, then I would do that to be faster, work all the time, and save bandwidth.

Not with they limited information you have provided so far. Are you backing up to iCloud or to iTunes on your computer? Do you have the latest version of iTunes on your computer? Was it installed from a Windows or Mac user ID that had administrator privileges? Does the phone show up in iTunes? What is your operating system? Are you using a USB port directly on your computer (not a hub)? If it's a USB port on the computer and you have a desktop or tower computer is the port on the back, not on the front?

Why is Search panel/tab opening at the bottom of Dreamweaver every single time I want to Search/Replace something, its very annoying when I do not need this and I need to close it every time.
I never use this Search tab at the bottom and I'm pulling my hair like crazy just to get rid of it ASAP.

This should only open when you do a find all or replace all, and opens to enable you to review the changes or search for a specific line?
Is this the behaviour you are getting?
If you do a find (or find next), then individual replace, it should not open.

When online and asked to fill in phone no., the iPhone presents a numeric keyboard that does not have space, hyphen or parenthesis keys. How to get a full keyboard to come up all the time?

When asked to input my phone number on some online forms (Yelp, donation), a numeric keyboard comes up on my phone. This keyboard has 0-9 characters, + # symbols, and the words "pause" and "wait.". There is no option for parentheses for area code, no hyphen option, no period option and no space option. As a result, numbers run in a single row. I then get the message "Invalid phone number" or "Invalid Format.". The sites then won't allow me to continue. This numeric keyboard is useless. How do I get either a numeric keyboard with the needed features or, better yet, get the alpha-numeric pad we usually see? This seems so weird on Apple's part.

There is no coverage map as such.
I live in what is considered a rural area and had techs driving 60-70 miles one way to get to me, never an issue.
Obviously, YMMV.
In my not-so-modest experience, both onsite and accidental damage upgrades are worth every penny if one intends to keep their ThinkPads for an extended period of time.
