Iphone passcode locked.. pls help :(

i use an iphone 2g... i changed my passcode number today and when i tried to unlock it for the forst time after changing it the phone said wrong passcode i re-entered it and the phone is now locked.. it extended the time from 5 to 10 to 15 mins.. and now its 1 hour... i tried another one of my old passcodes and now it says try again in a hour..
Im horrified.. is there a way i can reset or put the phone back to normal coz im at work and i cant take any calls... pls help me.. thnks

...If you repeatedly enter the wrong passcode, iPhone or iPod touch will be disabled for longer intervals, before you can try again. After too many unsuccessful attempts, you won't be able to try again until you connect to the computer you normally sync with. Note that starting with iPhone 2.1 software, there is a setting to cause the device to erase itself after 10 consecutive incorrect password attempts. This setting is off by default. It can be turned on by tapping Settings > General > Passcode Lock after you enter a correct passcode.
If you cannot remember the passcode, you will need to restore your device on the computer that was used to originally sync the iPhone or iPod touch so that you can reset your passcode and resync the data from the device (or restore from a backup). If you restore on a different computer that was never synced to the iPhone or iPod touch, you will be able to unlock the device for use and remove the passcode but your data will not be present. Refer to "Updating and restoring iPhone and iPod touch software."

You will need to restore your device as New to remove a Restrictions passcode. Go through the normal process to restore your device, but when you see the options to restore as New or from a backup, be sure to choose New.

I am seeing if I can get another battery even though I do not believe that is the issue. It keeps giving me vdd_under which I believe is under voltage, maybe it is just a faulty battery? It charges up like normal and functions normal (when plugged in, or above 90%) but it gives under voltage warnings and shuts down when in heavy use (using camera or going back and forth to imessage). When just sitting idle it doesn't seem to turn off until that 55-60% mark. It may just be a faulty battery because I feel I installed all of the other cables correctly when replacing the screen, and I don't think those connections should affect the battery anyway except for maybe the logic board cable (the 2nd cable to be unplugged after the battery cable) I guess I could clean that out as well with isopropyl just in case.
Any other suggestions would be helpful... and I will get back to you if a new battery helps. Thanks!

Sorry if this is too basic or confusing
Apparently in iOS 8 there are different volume settings for different applications
The setting on the home screen does not carry over to Pandora for example and it is different ( or at least appears to be) for the in-car experience.
So I would try to stream the music when not in the car - see if you can turn the volume up and then try again in the car

Iphone passcode lock - automatic?

Hello. I am told by a (non-techie) friend that I can set my iphone passcode lock to automatically force me to change the passcode on a regular basis; he claims his is set to do this, however, he cannot "show" me how-to steps. I cannot find anything relating to this in the manual or on this site. Is there a setting that will force me to change my passcode on some schedule? thanks to anyone that can educate me!

Why would you change your passcode every week or so?
Just keep it to one passcode and keep it that way.
No one can access your computer through the internet or your Cellular network.
It's not like a computer.

while executing some of our remote function module we encountered some locking error.. the message returned by SAP is :
A system error has occurred while locking
from message class : M3 #021
the remote function module is running bapi_goodsmvt_create in background..
the question is.. why this error occured and how to solve it ? and what is the root cause.. ?
because the error is only happened once (until now) we cannot simulate to get the error again.. so it is hard to find out the root cause..

I am also having the same problem. I am running the BAPI_MATPHYSINV_CHANGECOUNT' to count the Articles.
When I print the error on screen, some the data shown as counted. Some are not changed and some with the following error.

Furthermore I went to the BASIS and saw that when we run this particular program its showing the locks on MARC and several tables with the same System ID from which we run the program

Note: If you forget the passcode, or if you set an EFI firmware password on your Mac before it was lost, then lock it and later find it, you may need to take it to an authorized repair center to unlock it.

If a stolen iPhone was in airplane mode will a find my iPhone passcode lock apply itself when the hone is switched off of airplane mode?

My girlfriend's iPhone was stolen whilst on holiday in London. The phone was in airplane mode and didn't appear on Find My IPhone, which was installed and enabled (all set tis correct other than airplane mode). I sent a remote passcode lock to the phone.
The next day the iPhone appeared on the map, obviously having been switched on and had airplane mode switched off. My question is, will the remote lock apply immediately the phone comes back online?
I assume their only opting at that point is to do a factory restore which would wipe all the data anyway, right?
Also, can't Apple track the IMEI number regardless of a restore and a new SIM? Or the network operator that the phone was originally connected to?

This notion that is being floated around that Apple's hands are tied due to privacy and legal concerns doesn't impress me much at all. My iPad was stolen about a month ago. I have the receipt, the serial number (from my box), and the MAC address (from my home router's log). Armed with that information it's technologically feasible to track, deauthorize, and eventually recover my device. But for reasons I have been unable to ascertain Apple refuses to provide anything like this for their customers. And as their devices become increasingly smaller, more desirable, and more expensive theft of them will also increase.
But to my point about legalities and privacy concerns: whether they are true or not, it certainly doesn't stop Barnes and Noble from blacklisting their Nooks when they are reported stolen. At least, that's what I found after buying a Nook color off craigslist. When I tried to register it online it refused. When I called in to customer support they informed me that it was a stolen device. If I wanted to remove the blacklist, they explained, simply provide the last 4 digits of the credit card, the name on the receipt, and the total dollar amount of the store along with store number where the device was purchased. If I lacked any of that information, I could simply contact the store and retreive it from their records. Since I was not the original owner, however, my option was to turn the device over to the police and hope they returned it to the rightful owner.
When I explained this scenario to Apple Care he insisted the limitation was due to privacy concerns. That defies logic, however, when one considers that it's the original owner (and only through the poilce and Apple's legal department) who must report the device stolen. And, like B&N, it's the customer who is able to provide personal information to blacklist (as well as unblacklist) a device according to his or her own volition.
I've been thinking a bit about this for some time...plenty of time to think on the couch sans iPad anway...and I've been wondering why in the world does Apple not allow users to deauthorize and blacklist iDevices through iTunes itself. At that point Apple has no involvement in the process and even the barest of legalities are irrelevant. My assumption is that Jobs has thought long and hard about these issues, including my described resolution, so it begs the question as to why Apple refuses to do anything about stolen devices. I hope one day I can ask him because that is a question I would like answered more than anything: what is the rationale for the hands-offs approach to this? I can't fathom one myself but I have to guess there is one. Apple hasn't come across to me as a callous company so I'm reluctant to attribute it to that.

If those solutions don't work your iPhone 4s has developed a hardware problem. The permanent solution is to get it replaced.
You can search the internet for heating and freezing solutions that might work (at least for a while).

Speculation: On some iPhone 4s devices there may be a flow soldering problem with the WiFi chip. After long periods of WiFi activity such as installing an iOS update (for example, iOS 7 or iOS 8) there may be a connection failure. A work-around to this is the procedure in the youTube video.

Contact whomever it was purchased from and request the Apple ID and password that is setup on the device or have them remove the device from their iCloud account.
Otherwise, return the device if possible.
There is no way to bypass the Apple ID activation lock.

I bought used iPhone, and because of my trust in the people - suffered.
I believed my seller that that iPhone unbound from Apple ID, but didn't check.
iPhone asked me passcode, and after few try I realized that the phone is tied to the Apple ID and enabled find my iPhone. I have made hundreds of calls to the seller but he did not answer. The next day he threw out SIM card and I can not to contact him. Now I have the iPhone with input passcode screen. What should I do?

Your friend needs to remove the activation lock. You can do nothing about it.

I recently changed my iphone 4 passcode, soon i forgot it, i have tried and tried to remember but i cant.so now my iphone is disabled. i tried backing up my iphone on itunes but it told me that i need to turn off "find my iphone" on my device which i cant access, i ive looked online and i found out that i can go onto icloud and earase it that way. If you forgot (or don't know) your passcode, restore the device with your backup on the last computer it was synced with when the passcode was turned on... this will remove the passcode.
If you do not have access to the last computer it was synced with, or you've never synced, you will have to force it into recovery mode & restore as a new device or with an old backup if one is available.
