IPhone periodically needs to be reactivated?
This has only happened to me twice, but it's extremely annoying. I power my iPhone off at night, and then power it up in the morning while I'm leaving the house. Very rarely, when the phone powers up, it will request to be reactivated by being connected to iTunes, and the only thing it will allow me to do is to make an emergency call. I'm locked out of everything else.
When I connect it to iTunes, it takes about two seconds to go back to reactivated and everything is fine. But I don't think I should have to check whether or not my phone is activated every time I leave the house.
Does anyone know what gives?
This happened to me also and ive had mine for less than two months. I had to reboot after it froze, then it came up as deactivated so I had to plug into iTunes. Luckily I was ten minutes from home so I could reactivate it. I had tried turning it on/off and rebooting but it didn't work. I don't know what I would have done on a trip and shouldn't have to lug my laptop around in fear this happens at an inopportune time since it's completely inuseable unless I have to call 911. I googled this problem and seems like it has happened when the battery is recharged from a complete drain, been simply shut off, or out of the blue. Some reactvate when recycled while others have to be plugged in. There seems to be no explanation.

iTunes will need to be set up on your computer however you can set up a new Apple ID to use for your iPhone. Really all you need to do is Assign a new Apple ID to your iCloud account.

After you do that, on the device you want to assign a new iCloud account go: Settings > iCloud > Delete Account and then sign in with the new Apple ID.
NOTE: This does not effect iTunes, all of your devices can continue to use one shared iTunes account under your original Apple ID for downloading apps and backups. This simply gives iCloud a place to sync the individual devices information and will stop iCloud form merging all the information, such as contacts, with all of your devices. -
I am trying to change my apple id Country. but it says " you have a store credit balance, you must spend your balance before you can change it." i don't wanna spend it to change my country. by the way i can't update any of iPhone apps. need help
It's strange because I can change my AppleID country without this message.
So what to do? Just try to do this again, but on another device. You may also erase cookies and history of your browser.

iCloud password works on everything but erasing all data. I got a new iPhone and need to wipe this one but am not sure how else to do this since the password is not working. Any suggestions?
Firefox also makes regular backups of your bookmarks in a folder named bookmarkbackups in your personal settings folder. You can restore the backup to your new Firefox, but unlike importing the HTML-format file, it is a complete drop-in replacement, so if you have saved new bookmarks you do not want to lose, the export/import method may work better for you.
By default, Windows hides your personal settings folder so the easiest way to access it is from inside Firefox. You can use either:
* "3-bar" menu button > "?" button > Troubleshooting Information
* (menu bar) Help > Troubleshooting Information
* type or paste about:support in the address bar and press Enter
In the first table on the page, click the "Show Folder" button. This will launch a window showing your Firefox settings files.
You might want to back up this whole folder if you have other data you want to preserve from your XP computer.
Either way, you should find the bookmarkbackups folder here and when you click into it, find maybe 10 files with dates in their names.

thanksYour device can hold apps from multiple IDs, but to update them you have to swicth identities which is time consuming. If possible use only the one ID. If you need to reset the password for your old ID visit My Apple ID.

I have an iphone 3GS, I went to back it up / update apps through my itunes. I did this, but a certain app I download wouldn't work on my phone as "my iphone software needed updating". So I did, now I can't restore & my phone shows itunes logo with plug?

If you don't then credit card details will need to be entered before the account can be used to download any item from the store.

I keep wondering why iPhone 4 need to send a international SMS to activate FaceTime when the iPad 2 doesn't?
It cost's 2,50 dkr ($0.48) every time it does that.
I have a mobile subscription where i get 5 hours talk time, Free SMS, Free MMS, Free talk to all with same subscription and 5GB data for 129 dkr/month ($24.77).
But the internation SMS is not free.
And it really bugs me that my danish iPhone has to send an SMS to England to acticate FaceTime that i only can use on WiFi.
I also have a iPad 2 (WiFi model), and it can activate FaceTime fine via WiFi. So why can't the iPhone 4 do that?
I really really need a good explanation to why i have to pay to activate FaceTime.
Why can't you make local numbers to send the SMS too, or do it via WiFi just like the iPad 2.
The strangest this is that you have to be on WiFi to use FaceTime, so why use the mobile network to activate FaceTime?Where are you, what network are you on and where did you get your phone?
The fact that it uses SMS isn't really the issue here and no-one on this forum can answer the "why" question. We are end users, not Apple. The accepted answer is if it's going to tie facetime to your phone number (which it does) then that's the way it's got to work.
The puzzling part is why it would be sending one to England... unless of course, you purchased the phone in the UK and actually live in another region entirely. -
Assessment Cycle: ERROR asking FI period needs to be open to run cycle
Hi,
I'm trying to run the cost center assessment cycle using KSU5, but an error pops up asking the FI period needs to be open.
This is what I did:
1. Just created two cost centers (one sender, one receiver).
2. Posted an entry using FB50 to one of the cost center (sender) [Expense GL a/c Debit, Bank account credit]
3. Created the assessment cycle
4. Blocked the FI period using OB52
5. Ran the test run u2013 worked perfectly (values all went correctly)
6. While running the Real run u2013 an error popped up, saying FI period needs to be opened.
Dont know why I'm getting this error. Would really appreciate if anyone could help.

Thanks for your reply. But we know that FI period needs to be open. Just want to know if we could run the cycle without opening the FI period.
Eg. Our FI Period closes on the 4th of every month. We get all the SKFs for the cycles only on the 10th of each month. So, when we run the cycle FI period is already closed.
Is there no other option of running the cycle without opening the FI period?
