  • I want to sell my Iphone 4S to buy the future 5s.

    Hello,
I will soon sell my old Iphone 4S to buy the future 5S. Before i sell it, what should i do within the phone to clear all the data? Also, since i have lots of apps on my Apple ID, will they be available on the future Iphone?
Also, do i have to log out for my iphone before giving it away?
    Thanks in advance.

What are you reading? It doesn't say anything about deleting there. In fact it clearly say's "Do not manually delete...."
You are not deleting your AppleID, and you won't lose apps. Step 1 says "Backup".

  • FPBW: Extract Open Items with a posting date in the future

    Dear all,
I'm are currently searching for possibilities to extract Open Items with a posting date in the future from SAP IS-U 4.72 into SAP BW 3.5.
Currently I'm using the Business Content extractor 0FC_OP_01 together with the mass transaction FPBW in IS-U.
The problem I'm facing is within the mass transaction FPBW. I've have set the key date at 01.11.2007, but this job already runs for 52.000 seconds on the same database select-statement.
Does anybody know a possible solution to improve the performance of the statement below? (I pasted it from the process overview)

    Hi Marcos,
When you have created the Restricted keyfigures for Open Items, You have to add the date characteristic on which you are looking open item and add the variable there. Here you have to use a variable of type Interval and select the operator "<" the date of the Variable. If you go through, there are standard variable for keydate, which you can use directly.
    Hope you got the idea
    Regards
    Happy Tony

I can no longer get my calendar to send a reminder e-mail for on a date in the future....alerts no problem

Try turning the account off and on : Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars , then tap the account on the right, slide Mail to 'off', exit settings and go back into the Mail app, and then go back to Settings and slide Mail back to 'on'
If that doesn't work then try closing the Mail app completely : from the home screen (i.e.not with the Mail app 'open' on-screen) double-click the home button to bring up the taskbar, then press and hold any of the apps on the taskbar for a couple of seconds or so until they start shaking, then press the '-' in the top left of the Mail app to close it, and touch any part of the screen above the taskbar so as to stop the shaking and close the taskbar.
Also do a reset : press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

  • Iphoto changes the date on some events to a date in the future

I went into my iphoto and noticed some events had been changed to a date in the future.  It seems to do it on random events. It also grouped all of my videos into one event dated the end of May.  Does anyone know what causes this and how to prevent it?

Make a temporary, duplicate copy of your library and apply the three fixes in order as necessary.
    Fix #1
1 - delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your HD/User/Home()/ Library/Preferences folder.
2 - delete iPhoto's cache file, Cache.db, that is located in your HD/User/Home()/Library /Caches/com.apple.iPhoto folder.
3 - launch iPhoto and try again.
NOTE: If you're moved your library from its default location in your Home/Pictures folder you will have to point iPhoto to its new location when you next open iPhoto by holding down the Option key when launching iPhoto.  You'll also have to reset the iPhoto's various preferences.
    Fix #2
Launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys held down and rebuild the library.
Select the options identified in the screenshot.
    Fix #3
Using iPhoto Library Manager  to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
Download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
Click on the Add Library button, navigate to your Home/Pictures folder and select your iPhoto Library folder.
Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the File ➙ Rebuild Library menu option
In the next  window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
    Click on the Create button.
Note: This creates a new library based on the LIbraryData.xml file in the library and will recover Events, Albums, keywords, titles and comments but not books, calendars or slideshows. The original library will be left untouched for further attempts at fixing the problem or in case the rebuilt library is not satisfactory.

  • Applicatons that are superseded with a deadline date in the future, kicks of before deadline date has been passed.

So how to explain this as best as possible....
First off, I have seen this "issue" since ConfigMgr 2012 RTM and I have seen it continuously through the various upgrades done on the way to ConfigMgr 2012 R2. The environment consists of a single AD domain, one ConfigMgr Primary site with 30 DP's
    and 1500 computers.
Application B is created and it should supersede application A. The application is present on all computers throughout the environment. The application is distributed to all DP's. The deployment of application A is targeted to a collection containing all
computers. Then the deployment of application A is deleted. Application B is then configured to supersede application A with an uninstall of application A and the deployment type is replaced with the deployment type of application B. The option that Allows
users to see older deployment types is not selected. Now application B is deployed to the same collection as application A was. The deployment settings are configured with a deadline date in the future (to match the corporate maintenance window - not a ConfigMgr
maintenance window), but the application should be visible for users who want to upgrade before the deadline is reached. The option of automatically upgrading any superseded versions of the application is selected. The deployment is not created as a required
    deployment, but only available.
What happens after the above is done is a bit odd. If I compare a application deployment that is superseded, to the Software Updates that normally have the same psychological effect on users (for anyone in IT this is common knowledge to be: Postpone and
don't bug me again until deadline has passed and then becomes a forced installation/update, for about 70% of the user mass) this is not the case. After about 24 hours about every single computer that is online has received the deployment of application B and
has been successfully installed. I refuse to believe that close to a 100% of the users actually select the option to upgrade application B before the deadline has been passed.
I have checked the above and it looks like it does not honor the deadline given and finds out that when it can kick of the deployment, it does.
This also happens if I don't delete the deployment of application A and leave it deployed to the same collection as the superseding application B is deployed to.
Any ideas on why I'm seeing this behavior would be greatly appriciated.
    /Tom Erik

Well, it's an available deployment. The only thing that it should do is to upgrade the superseded application, if present on the computer and that is set to be performed several weeks in the future. In the particular example (log files) below, the deadline
is set to be on 1 April 2015 (!). All deployments are set to use client local time, when deployed to a computer collection. All other user (if I remember correct) deployments are set to use UTC, as client local time is not an option.
What I do see on a particular computer is that when no user was logged on, the deployment started the application installation. This is what I found in the AppEnforce.log (notice the time stamp around the 18th at 13:42):

  • Event date does not agree with photo dates in the event

    Mavericks
    Iphoto 9.5.1
I have made a new event and put lots of genealogy pictures for one family member in it.  I changed all the photos to Jan 4, 2002.  These are docs, pics, obits, etc. Thus I have given this one person this date.  Other family names  have another date.  I modified all the original files within each event.
Beside this couples name on the "Event" label it says Jan 3, 2002 - August 23, 2014.  Therefore it shows itself in the Jan 3, 2002 group of people.  That is about 20 family groups up the page.
    I have done the following:
--Made sure that there are no pictures with the date Jan 3, 2002 in the event
--Have taken all the pictures in the event and separated them out into new events--census, certificates, pictures, obits, etc.  Thought I would trick the event to restarting!
--Did a "select-all"  of that event and created a new event--same thing.
--Closed down iPhoto and started over again.
I have no idea why the Jan 3, 2002 is showing up.  These are one side of the family.  The January 4 is the other side!
On August 23, 2014, I did take a couple of the cemetery pictures in this event.  However, they were given the new date of January 4 and Modified the original files using the checkbox.  I put the same picture in another family member's event and it is OK.  I
Hope I have given enough details.

I think I have solved it!  After much frustration and then writing for help, I was not to be stopped.  I kept looking up other helps and one person suggested that one of the pictures might be a problem.  So I tried that approach.  I made an event just out of the "possible" problem pix (the August  2014 date.)  It was not causing a problem in another event, however.   From that  event with the same pix, I exported the pix to the desktop, and then imported the pix back into iPhoto.  Then I put them into the event that was having the problem.  So far so good.  The date of the event matches all the dates of the photos.  I will now delete the "problem children."
Maybe this will help someone else.

  • What would change a file modification date into the future?

Of late, I've been noticing that [apparantly random] files that have NOT be accessed are showing a modification date somewhere in the future.
I couldn't figure out why zip was adding files I hadn't touched to an archive of files changed since a certain date.  Looked in Finder, and they have dates from 1 to 20 some years into the future, in the modification column, and sometimes, no creation date.
Also, files deep in the contents of some apps are losing me as an owner, leading zip to tell me "access denied".
Any thoughts as to what's going on?  Other than the paranoid; there's some evil virus, whatever, running amok.

  • How to calculate a date in the future and set it as field value?

I'm trying to set the value of a read-only field to a date and time 72 hours from the current date and time. Here's how I'm doing it now:
    var futureInMilliseconds = new Date().getTime() + 259200000; // current date and time + 72 hours in milliseconds
    field.value = new Date(futureInMilliseconds);
The field is formatted as "m/d/yyyy h:MM tt". When I test this in the debugger I see it listing the correct date and time in the future, but the value applied to the field is always the current date and time. So, I'm having a difficult time getting this to work for something that should be fairly straight forward and simple. I'd appreciate any suggestions.

    What is the "field" object?
What happen when you use "event" for the object and not "field"?
Even if this script is placed at the document level or any other location, it is still a calculation. It just not a field Custom Calculation Script. You are adding one value to another to get a new value.

  • Set measure to NULL for dates in the future

    Hi all
I am trying to set the values of a measure to NULL in case the date is in the future.
I have a time dimension and fact table. What I have so fat is the following:
    IIF([Date].[CalendarDetailed].CURRENTMEMBER.Name < format(now(), "yyyy-MM-dd"),
    SUM
    PERIODSTODATE
    [Date].[CalendarDetailed].[(All)],
    [Date].[CalendarDetailed].CURRENTMEMBER
    [TimeUtility_All].[TimeUtility].&[1],
    [Measures].[Quantity_Change]
    ), NULL)
This actualy works quite well. The only problem I have is, that on every month level it show me NULL. I guess it is, because the value for a month is e.g. "January 2014", which doesn't work with the condition.
How can I modify the script, that I also get a value on the month levels.
    Thanks
    Lukas

I typically use the function ISEMPTY. I'm not a master at MDX so I can't tell you the exact syntax without actually playing around with your query. You could try something like this:
    IIF(ISEMPTY([Date].[CalendarDetailed].CURRENTMEMBER.Name, NULL,
    [Date].[CalendarDetailed].CURRENTMEMBER.Name < format(now(), "yyyy-MM-dd"),
    SUM
    PERIODSTODATE
    [Date].[CalendarDetailed].[(All)],
    [Date].[CalendarDetailed].CURRENTMEMBER
    [TimeUtility_All].[TimeUtility].&[1],
    [Measures].[Quantity_Change]
    Good Luck.

  • Photo Organization and the Future

Here's my concern - utilizing aperture to organize my projects and albums, departing from managing the file structure (which is getting impossible to keep up with) I have to assume that Apple and Aperture will always be around.
What if in the future I want to switch to Light Room, or go back to windows? I have nearly 35,000 photo's now, and I imagine I'll have more in 50 years but I have no idea if Aperture will still be around in 50 years and If I stop paying attention to my file structure, I'll lose all the organization behind my masters.
Aren't any of you concerned about the distant future? Apple could pull the plug on Aperture; somebody else could come out with somethign better; etc.

No, I'm not concerned about my file structure. The fact that Aperture takes care of that for Managed libraries doesn't mean that there is no structure. The library normally resides in the Pictures folder. If you open the package you will find the folder for all your masters - the structure there can be easily decoded. There are lots of other files used by Aperture when manipulating or displaying images. If you need to get your original photo images at some time they are there. If you shoot in RAW then you might need to worry about some future time when no one supports your camera's version of RAW, but that's a different issue. You can also, in the distant future, export your edited photos to a new location.
If you have a Referenced library then you are responsible for the storage, backup and structure of those images.

  • My iphone wifi data from the consolidated file shows more wifi networks than I have been exposed to. Does the iphone also collect location on wifi networks that are within reach of the wifi networks it has access to?

I took out the wifi location data from the consolidated file and plotted into google maps. Clearly, not all those wifi networks are in areas or really close to areas I've been to, yet somewhat close. Does it mean that if I am within a range of a wifi network my iphone will not only collect location data of that particular wifi network but also all others that are within reach of that wifi network and so forth?

use cal = Calendar.getInstance() to get the current date/time
use cal.get(Calendar.DAY_OF_WEEK) to get what today is
calculate n = days to next Thursday
advance the calendar with cal.add(Calendar.DATE, n).

  • How to go quickly to a date in the future in Calendar app

i've got my iPhone since almost 3 years and the only thing (really!) that keeps me longing to my Nokia 6210 is the fact that if i want to schedule an appointment in let's say this time next year, i have to go to month view and than skip month by month for ages. Nokia just let you do 'go to date' > tap 2/22/2014 > done.
i hope that this is a stupid question and that somebody tells me what's the workaround NOW!
ps: i'm NOT looking for jailbreak solutions. good for you, not dissing, but i'm not interested, thanks for understanding.
much thanks in advance for your help

I am not familiar with a way to do it in the Calendar app itself on the iPhone. It is easier to do on an iPad with the Year pane. But a 3rd party app like Fantastical lets you do any date that you wish on the fly.
