IPhone Photo library photos to iPhoto

my new MBP crashed after about 6 months and i have several pictures on my iphone that were synced from iPhoto. how do i get those pictures onto my new computer?

Only way is to use 3rd party software - iGadget, iPodAccess, TouchCopy. Since the pics were 'optimized' for transfer to the iPhone (optimized = reduced in resolution/size), you cannot get the full res images back, just the scaled-down ones on the iPhone.

Yes PS is available for some versions of iPhoto - it requires
iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch with iOS 6.0 or later
Mac with OS X Mountain Lion v10.8.2 or later and iPhoto 9.4 or Aperture 3.4 or later

  • Can't import iPhone photos into iPhoto because of permission...

I go in iPhoto, click on the iphone then click on import all and then I get this error message which i will translate from French.
''iPhoto ne peut pas importer vos photos dans cette photothèque car iPhoto ne peut pas y accéder.''
iPhoto can not import your photos in this library because iPhoto can not access it.
Then it says : Repair your library authorisation in iPhoto.
So i tried to cmdaltclick on iphoto and repair permissions...but it doesn't work.

  • Help-how do you move iphone photos into iphoto on iMac??

I have 4,814 photos in my iphoto library (categorized into 114 events). On my iphone 4, I have 1,028 photos taken exclusively with the phone. Can someone tell me how to get all of my iphone photos into my iphoto library on my iMac?
    Thanks----

Never mind..figured it out. Just in case anyone else is dense like me, just plug iphone into iMac, then launch iphoto. In iphoto, the iphone will be listed on the left as a device and all your iphone photos will show up to the right. Simply click import at the bottom of the screen and you're on your way.

  • Can no longer see iPhone photos in iPhoto

After upgrading my iPhone to 3.1.2 iPhoto no longer autolaunches when the iPhone is connected to my Mac Book Pro (10.6). When I launch iPhoto ('08, 7.1.5) myself the phone's camera shows up on the left-hand side but when I select it I see no photos to import. If I uncheck the "Hide photos already imported" checkbox I see dashed lines indicating that there are photos that have already been imported, but the photos do not appear within the dashed border.
I have try restarting the phone as well as resetting the phone by holding down the power and home keys.
    Any ideas?

My MacBookPro is totally up to date: runs OS X Snow Leopard and the update 10.6.2. The iPhoto is version 8.1.1, iTunes version is 9.0.2. and iPhone has software version 3.1.2.
Up to a few days ago all worked perfectly but since yesterday iPhoto doesn't see my iPhone.
I've reinstalled Snow Leopard and checked for software updates for all ... no solution!
I've seen NUMEROUS guys with the exact same problem but I saw NO answer to solve the problem (except for deleting photos from emails etc which is bollocks!).
Can Apple not help by fixing the glitch in their software, which it obviously is.

  • Why can't I export iPhone photos from iPhoto?

iPhoto recently started crashing whenever I try to export photos that have been imported from my iPhone.
No problems exporting photos from other cameras, just the iPhone.
In fact, If I mix photos from several cameras in one Event and try to export them all, the export goes smoothly until it hits the iPhone photo at which point iPhoto crashes.
Any clue why and/or how to fix this problem?
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    FYI.  I'm using iPhoto '09 8.1.2 and OSX 10.9.3.

the export goes smoothly until it hits the iPhone photo at which point iPhoto crashes.
Is it just one particuar photo?  Have your photos been edited on the iPhone with iOS 7 effects? HDR photos, panoramic photos?
and then I export the edited photos to the hard drive on my iMac so I can burn them to a CD.
Does iPhoto only crash, when you export the photos with "File > Export > Edited" or also, when you export them with "File > Export > Original"?
If you can export the originals, check, if the photos areo.k. and you can open them in Preview.
      I'm using iPhoto '09 8.1.2 and OSX 10.9.3.
That is a risky combination. iPhoto 8.1.2 is not fully supported on Mavericks, and probably your current problem is due to the fact, that iPhoto 8.1.2 does not work well withMavericks.  Is there a reason, that you do not want to update to iPhoto 9.5.1 for full compatibility?

  • Cannot find imported iPhone photos in iPhoto?

Where do they go?  They are not in last import?  They are listed as "already imported"... I've tried importing to an album but none of them show up?  I've tried straight import but none of them show up?  Where are they?
I'm looking to do a mass dump of iPhone photos to clear space but this hurdle has gotten in the way.

Seriously?  Does no one else have this problem?
I've been on Mac for 15 years, used iPhone from the beginning and I've never had an issue wtih this until now.  uggh!!
Please help me find where my photos go, so I can dump my iPhone!

  • I lost my iPhoto library on external disk so how do I recover iPhone photos to iPhoto on MacBook?

I moved all of my photos to an external disk.  No other backup.  Big mistake. Now, how do I transfer photos on my iPhone (albums, events, faces) to my MacBook iPhoto library, which is now empty?

It sounds like you were running a  "referenced"  library? Were you?
If you didi and you moved the photos to the EHD you would get a "Can't find XXXXX" message when you try to view a photos.  Is that what you get?
Are those photos still on the EHD?  You'll  have to explain in more detail exactly what you did and how you did it before we can give you any suggestions on how to get back in business.

  • HT201302 How to import only the newest iPhone photos to iPhoto library/Mac

I have an iPhone 4s and every time I connect my iPhone to my Mac it downloads all the photos.
How do I import only the newest photos? To have to check what I already have in albums and select only the latest would be very
time consuming. There must be an easier way.

When iPhone is connected and selected in computer iTunes, in Photos tab >
in Selected albums, Events, and Faces, and automatically include > select "the most recent Event"

  • IPhone Photos and iPhoto

Ok, I created an iPhone iPhoto Library on my Intel Mac, I did this because I want to keep all my Photos taken on my iPhone in one place. BUT...When I connect my iPhone to the Mac, I always end up copying everything from the "iPhone iPhoto Library" onto my iPhone with the result that I know have around 3 or 4 copies of every photo in my iPhone, iPhoto adds copies every time I connect it to the Mac, what's going wrong am I missing something?
    Thanks

Well I don't know the answer to the above issue however I have an issue of my own that I need some help with. When I press on the camera it opens and tells me that there is not enough room to take additional pictures. Please delete some existing photo's. Well I have deleted all the photo's and have restore all settings and I still have this issue. Any ideas on how I can fix this issue?

  • Cant find iPhone photos in iPhoto

I'm not able to find the photos that are on my iPhone in iPhoto. When the device is connected to the Mac, I can see the photos on the phone only. Please can you advise?

Photos in the camera roll are "imported" to the computer from the iPhone, they are not really synced. On the Mac, you would use iPhoto to transfer the pictures to the computer.
Pictures that you have on the computer would be the ones that you would sync to the iPhone using iTunes. Photos are placed in a folder on the computer, that folder is selected in iTunes and then you do a sync. When that is done, the pictures are copied to the iPhone. Then, any changes that you make to the folder on the computer will be changed on the iPhone during the next sync process.
Anything that is significantly different for a Mac can be explained by Allan, since he is a Mac, I'm a PC

  • Cannot import or view iPhone photos in iPhoto.

I am trying to import photos from my iPhone into iPhoto. My phone shows up as a device in iPhoto, but none of the image previews load and the import buttons are greyed out. With Image Capture I have the same problem, the device is recognized but nothing else loads. I have updated all software with no effect. Importing photos previously worked without any problems.
Let me know what I can try to get this to work. My software versions are below:
    Macbook Air (Mid-2011) OS X 10.7.5
    iPhoto '11 9.1.4(613)
    iPhone 4 iOS 7.1.2

These were photos taken with the default camera app. They have not been modified at all and are located in the camera roll on the iPhone.
My software was actually not up to date for iPhoto. I tried updating it through the App Store but it would not proceed due to 10.7 as my current OS. I downloaded v9.2.3 off of support.apple.com but it would also not let me proceed with the update when I ran the .pkg. It stated that iPhoto needed to be updated through the App Store.
Any ideas how to upgrade to a version that is not the most current but is supported on 10.7?

  • Unable to import iPhone photos to iPhoto

    Hi everyone.
Im on iPhoto 7.1.5, when I plug my iPhone into the computer and then open iPhoto, there is no option to import photos, I have in the past imported photos from the iPhone into iPhoto, but now for some reason it wont give me an option to import, any ideas what the cause could be?

    Hello Thomas,
This could be a behavior mentioned on the Apple website. Try http://support.apple.com/kb/TS3195.
    Hope that helps.

  • Transferring Iphone photos to Iphoto on laptop - small!

If I take a photo on my Iphone 4 - or if someone sends me a photo they took on their IPhone - and then I transfer it to my IPhoto on my MacBook Pro, it's very small - I can't enlarge it at all. Advice??

Not sure why they would be small.  However, any photo can be resized with a decent graphics program.  Try this one: http://www.lemkesoft.com/

  • Iphone Photos to Iphoto

iphoto used to instanty open and recognize my iphone and automatically load its pictures to the iphoto library, lately, it has not. The import pictures function does not include the iphone as one of the choices. The sync function, once the iphone is recognized by itunes only syncs one way, from itunes to the phone. Thus, lately, I could not transfer pictures taken from my iphone camera to my Macbook Pro's iphoto library. What should I do? Please help...thanks!

    Hola Orlando Antonio!
I just did but it didn't work. Here's my problem: I'm using an iphone in a country where the iphone hasn't been launched yet. I'm an apple fanatic, with early model apple laptops and Macs still in my attic and all generations of ipods. Apple hasn't announced a date when it would be launching the iphone in my country so I bought an open line iphone on a trip to London at one of the Tottenham Ct. Road's shops for a very hefty sum of 599 pounds or about $1,200.00. I can't reset to original settings because the phone will revert to those settings and I haven't updated the software because my friends who did had to go back to have their phones reopened. Apple shouldn't really punish its loyal customers who want the iphone in countries where the phone will probably not be available in the next 24 months.
