IPhone photo question

With an iPhone can you send a photo to a picture capable phone? If so, how?

Currently, the only way to send a photo anywhere is via email, one photo at a time. iPhone does not support MMS (photos sent as an instant message.)
We are all hopeful that this will be remedied by Apple soon.
I have a yahoo! mail account that I only check on my iPhone. So my friends/family can send an email with picture attached and they know it goes straight to my phone.

  • Iphone photo syncing question

I'm trying to sync my photos from my iphone4 to my pc.  It syncs everything but the photos.  It shows it's syncing the photos, but then shows "0" photos.  I cannot find them in any folder on my computer.  Any ideas?

I am experiencing this problem too. My Laptop got stolen in a burglary. I now have another Laptop running XP and I have downloaded iTunes. I am now trying to sync my iPhone 4 running IOS 4.3.5 (SL1) and I will then upgrade to the latest IOS version.
I have run the sync which appears to have worked but when I go to the chosen folder on my PC there is a file called iPhone Photo Cache with nothing in it.
Has anyone experienced this? I am now concerned the iPhone has not synchronised and I will loose my data if I upgrade to IOS 5.
    Can anyone help?

  • Problem iPhoto imports triplicates of my iPhone photos

    Hello,
When i want to import my iPhone photos on my mba'2012, iPhoto wants to import 3 times each photo.
Instead of importing 1006 photos, iPhoto imports 3018 photos !! :-/
For example, for a IMG_1500.jpg, iPhoto imports IMG_1550.jpg, IMG_1500_2.jpg and IMG_1500_3.jpg. (same size for each photo)
Everything is fine in the Photos.app in my iPhone, i see the exact number of photos (1006).
    HDR is OFF
    So what the problem?
    Thanks in advance.
    For information:
    iPhone 4S 5.1.1
    MBA 2012
    iPhoto 9.3.2
    OS X Mountain Lion
(On OS X Lion, i have the same issue)

    First, thanks to help me.
For your question, here a screenshot of Image Capture:
    Always the same problem...
This means that there a problem with my iPhone ?

  • Basic Syncing of iPhone Photos

This is going to seem like a no brainer, but I have few basic questions about how the iPhone syncs photos. (I have read the manual, but what I've read doesn't address my questions.)
#1. Out of the box, after having taken some photos with the iPhone, does a normal sync between the iPhone and iTunes place those photos on my Mac? If so, where are they placed? (For further clarification, I have not turned on "Sync Photos From" in iTunes.)
#2. If they are not synced to my Mac, is there a way to sync them to my Mac without using iPhoto?
#3. Is there a way to upload photos to my iPhone without using iPhoto?
    Thanks

    You're welcome.
I never synced photos to the iPhone when I purchased it, so if I don't use iPhoto iTunes hammers all my iPhone photos.
I responded to this copied from your previous post.
This is not something I want to do, so how do I go about uploading photos to my iPhone without wiping out all my existing photos on the iPhone.
If you haven't transferred any photos from your computer to the iPhone yet, there are no photos on your iPhone unless you've captured photos with your iPhone. Photos transferred from your computer to the iPhone do not affect photos captured by your iPhone. These are separate.
Sorry but what does "iTunes hammers all my iPhone photos" mean?
So, since I've used Image Capture to copy the iPhone photos to my Mac, can I now place these photos in the 'sync' folder and sync the copied photos, and the photos I want to upload all at the same time?
    Yes.
This is what I do with iPhoto. I import photos captured by the iPhone into iPhoto, and then erase the photos from the iPhone after the import process is completed. If I want any of these photos available on the iPhone for viewing, I place the chosen photos in an iPhoto Album that I transfer to the iPhone.
You can do the same thing but manually with created folders than contain the photos you want available on your iPhone. Place multiple folders that contain photos in a "parent" folder. Select the Parent folder under the Photos tab for your iPhone sync preferences.

  • IPhone photo sharing invitation cannot be made

iPhone photo sharing invitation cannot be made
    with iPhone 6, latest iOS

    Hey Vivian Su,
Thanks for the question. It sounds like you are experiencing issues sending iCloud Photo Sharing invitations. The following resource may provide some insight into your issue, along with a potential resolution:
Get help using iCloud Photo Sharing and shared albums - Apple Support
    https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201077
I sent email invitations to my shared album, but not everyone received one.
    Try these steps:
Ask the invitees to check their junk or spam email folders for the invitation.
Send the invitation again. An invitee might not get the message if their mailbox is full, or if there's a filter that prevented the invite from being delivered.
If they didn't get the invitation, ask the invitee for another email address that you can send the invitation to. If you're using iOS 7 or later, you can also send the invitation to the phone number that they use for iMessages.
Ask the invitee if they've ever received an invitation, and if they might have unsubscribed from iCloud Photo Sharing emails. They can use the steps below to get email invitations again.
If they still don't get the invite, contact Apple Support for help.
    Thanks,
    Matt M.

  • IPhone photos

I transferred my photos from old phone (Dare) to new iPhone, photos look like negatives, how do I change this?
    Thx

How did you transfer the pictures? Did the store transfer them for you, or did you do it through your PC? If it was done via your PC, do the pictures appear normal on the computer? Do the pictures you take with the iPhone turn out correctly? The answers to these questions will help immensely in the direction we need to go with the troubleshooting.
If you would like, you can either post the answers here, or send me a PM with your wireless and an alternate contact number where we can reach you directly.
    Thanks,

  • How do I delete photo ALBUMS from my iPHONE 4? I sync via icloud and I can not see any folders selected in itunes. I searched the internet and basically there is no one who has the answer to how you delete the iphone photo library and misc albums

how do I delete photo ALBUMS from my iPHONE 4?
I sync via icloud and I can not see any folders selected in itunes.
I searched the internet and basically there is no one who has the answer (so far)
to how you delete the iphone photo library and misc albums
I have also had every iphone and I am not stupid.

Replying to my own post - heh. I downloaded iExplorer (http://www.macroplant.com/iexplorer/) which allowed me access to the files on the phone and there was the phantom movie in the DCIM folder. Deleted it, and all is well - although I still have 0.65gb of Other in iTunes.....

  • Add To iPhoto in Mail fails for iPhone photos sent in multiple emails

Someone takes six photos with an iPhone and emails them to you.
You get 6 emails. Each one has a photo.jpg image attached.
You click the SAVE pop-down menu in the Mail message and choose Save To iPhoto. The photo is imported into iPhoto. You delete that email and do the same thing with the second email with the second photo...
BUT, somewhere the Mail-iPhoto smartness turns dumb, as the rest of the photos will not show up in iPhoto. (This may have something to do with the fact that the iPhone sends each photo with the attachment name of photo.jpg and somehow Mail or iPhoto think that photo has already been added to iPhoto).
I was having this problem with photos emailed to me by iPhone users and tested it myself.
Sure enough, after the first photo.jpg attachment is imported all subsequent Add To iPhoto operations of iPhone sent images fail... even if the photos have been sent from separate iPhones from separate email addresses.
All the attachments are kept by Mail in uniquely numbered folders in the attachments folder of my receiving email account in Library/Mail but since each attachments is named photo.jpg that seems to throw off iPhoto OR Mail (because even the quick progress update of "Adding photo to iPhoto" does not show up on these attempts).
I checked if quitting and restarting Mail fixed allowed the second photo to be added to iPhoto but it did not. Quitting iPhoto after EACH import/Add To iPhoto operation allowed each photo to be added into iPhoto.
This may have to do with the iPhoto bugs handling large libraries (I have 19000 images in it) like the spinning wheel of Names window after imports, etc.
Just sharing if others have the same experience sending 3 iPhone photos by email to themselves and seeing if all can be added to iPhoto from Mail. Thanks.
    Imran

    Yes it is a bug
Report to apple. iPhoto menu ==> provide iPhoto feedback
You can work around BR saving to the desktop and importing or opening in quick view, expanding to full screen and saving to iPhoto

  • Looking for an iphone photo editing app that mirrors images?

looking for an iphone photo editing app that mirrors images? Any suggestions? I'd like to mirror an image already in my photo library....

  • After changing contact photo on iPhone, photo no longer shows up in outlook

I had my contact photos all setup on my iphone, and syncing correctly with iTunes and showing up correctly in Outlook 2007. The photos are stored on the iPhone, and set either by selecting the photo and doing "Assign to Contact", or in Contacts, Edit, Edit (the picture) and "Choose Photo". They would show up as a thumbnail in the Outlook 2007 Business Card view, and also in the detail when you double-click a contact. This part of the process hasn't changed.
What has changed is iOS4. Now, when I go in and change a contact's photo on the iPhone, it no longer shows up correctly in Outlook 2007. It shows a blank space when showing the Business card view, but shows the photo correctly in the detail if I double-click a contact. Even if I change it back to the photo that it was, it still won't show correctly in Outlook 2007 Business Card view.
Contacts whose photos I haven't changed since iOS4 show correctly in both places in Outlook 2007.
Anyone else seeing this or have a fix?

    Hi!
I'm having the same troubles and after searching for a while i found
    the following solution:
    In short (from http://gyoo.com/blog/?p=48)
    First, some figures:
    iPhone camera resolution: 1600×1200 (72dpi)
    iPhone screen resolution: 320×480 (160dpi)
iPhone contact picture display size: 64×64 (160dpi)
iPhone contact picture display size on call: 320×270 (160dpi)
    Outlook import resolution: 72×96 (72dpi)
    - On your PC, resize the image contact to 320×320 (160dpi),
knowing that 25 pixels on the top and bottom will be semi-transparent when on call.
    - On your PC, create a folder iPhone Photos\Contacts and move your contact photos inside Sync the photos into your iPhone with iTunes through the Photos tab.
    - Select the iPhone Photos folder as source.
    - Manually associated the photo to your contact on the iPhone
    (Edit ->Add Photo->Choose Existing Photo)
    - Sync back the iPhone with iTunes.
The photos will be associated automatically into Outlook with the good resolution this time.
    Regards
    Harry

  • Universal Dock's remote doesn't work with iPhone Photos

Has anyone tried Universal Dock's remote with iPhone Photos? I can't get it to work.
The remote does work with iPhone music and video though.

i just bought this dock as a car dock. I have it hooked up to power 12v and output to 1/8 into head unit. Now, I have to be in iTunes music to get it to work and it only allows volume, playing of files in a playlist and to next song. Are any of you guys having issues with VERY limited use of the remote and lack of really a benefit from using a remote because you have to touch it anyways to change through songs or video??? Are you guys wondering why you even bought it if the remote is not supported as a functional addition?
