Iphone photos upload twice to iMac, so I now have two of each one

Why have the photos on my phone uploaded twice to my iMac when I plugged it in? Also they have stopped coming in automatically over iCloud, why is this?

If you have two subscriptions in one Adobe account:

Ans.Your first subscription will be automatically renewed untill and unless you do not cancel. In order to cancel your second subscription you need to contact customer support. Please refer:

3.Can I transfer my second subscription to my colleage and still continue to pay using my Credit Card for this new subscription?
Ans. CC cannot be transferred to another user as it is associated with your Adobe ID.

Ans. I would recommend you to cancel one of the CC membership by contacting customer support on the link mentioned in answer2.

Thanks - I guess it is like there were two of me!
I bought the iPhone first and it seemed natural to link it to the (work) e-mail address which was in constant use. The iMac for home use came next and it seemed natural to use my home e-mail address, particularly as I knew by then that I would lose the work address after my imminent retirement. The same logic went for the recent puchase of the MacAir. I am not sure what happened with the iPad (also a recent purchase) - iTunes seemed to puch me towards the same ID as the iPhone.
It is not a huge problem - just makes my persona look schizoid! Otherwise very happy with everything Apple.

Here is what worked for me:
My usb hub, being usb2, was too fast. I moved the wire to a usb port directory on my pc. That is a usb1 port which is slow enough to run your snyc.

The iPad and related software is designed to sync with only one computer. I suggest transferring the photos from one of your iMacs to the other so that all photos are on one Mac. Same for all other files you want to sync over.
To get those AppleWorks files to the iPad you'll have to determine if Pages will open them. If it will then use the file sharing feature of iTunes to copy them to Pages on your pad.
If Pages will not open the AppleWorks files directly you'll have to save them in some format that Pages will read. These include but may not be limited to Pages and Word formats.

Before I downloaded Lion every time I would upload a pic from iphoto there would be two files. One that was 1.8MB and another that was 50KB. Now I can only find the 1.8MB one. Did this option disappear with Lion?

When you would "import" what?
two files would show up in "images".
Do you mean in the All Images search in the Finder?
IF so:
1.Never interact with photos that are in iPhoto via the All Images Search. This does not understand the iPhoto Library and it's very, very easy to damage the library this way.
2. What you were seeing was the original file you imported and the thumbnail created by iPhoto for viewing on the iPhoto Window. That thumbnail is not designed for user access.
What are you trying to do ultimately?

Welcome to the Apple community.
iTunes and iCloud and different accounts, you will need to delete both accounts from your device before adding the new details in their place.
For iCloud go to settings > iCloud, scroll down and hit the delete button. You can then sign back in using your correct details. For iTunes go to settings >store, tap your account ID and then sign out, you can then sign back in using your correct Apple ID.

You have no idea how happy i would be to be proved wrong on this .. there are loads of posts in the discussion forums saying its impossible. If you can point me to where we are going wrong it would be very much appreciated. This is what we have tried ...
1. Create a 2 iTunes libraries on a single computer login (switching with the ALT key when starting itunes)
2. Create a new user account on the computer, create an iTunes library on each individual login.
In each scenario, the same thing happens. We can
- Start iTunes in the right library
- Log in to the iTunes store etc with each account.
The problem comes as soon as you try to download a purchased item, ie if I buy a song on my iPhone then try to down load it from the "purchased items" of iTunes account it was purchased under. iTunes gives a message saying that if i download something bought under iTunes Account 2, iTunes account 1 will be disabled from downloading or auto-download for 90 days as "this computer is already associated with an Apple ID"
Should probably have put this into the origianl post for clarity, apologies. i didnt really mean "logged in", we can log in to each iTunes account from the different libraries, but we can use the purchasing or download functionality - hopefully this makes more sense.
If you know how to set this up properly, it would be amazing if you could share it here?

I started to do that then it said that this will become their apple I.D or similar and then I thought that will disconnect them from the same iTunes? I want them still on my iTunes as they are only young (8 and 10)? Or have I got this all wrong and even if I do set them up with a different e-mail will they still be on my itunes? The main thing to do is to sign out all services on your iPhone, like iCloud, iTunes & App Store, iMessage and FaceTIme. Check out the article below for more information.

Original photo and edited photo are no longer stacked and appear now as two photo

I have a problem that my edited photos are separated from the original photo so I have two photos side by side. I am afraid to delete the original photo for fear of not being able to open the edited photo but I really do not want to have two photos, one edited photo that looks nice and one unedited photo that is not so nice next to each other in my album. How can I restack these? Also if I bring over the edited photo into Revel will it have the information needed to display the picture?

I made sure the 'Show Icon Preview' box was checked. This is about all I can do, really, Frank, as i don't know enough about the workings of these machines to start fiddling about.
Strangely the images show as previews in some folders, yet not in others, even though they come from the same sources (my camera and my phone).

Well, I restored my iPhone again and used the first name, then deleted icloud from the phone. Restored again with the second name and that got rid of the duplicate phone bookmarks. I did the same with my Macbook Pro but I still have the bookmarks left from that one, even though it was the same name. I'm trying to find a way to just wipe everything from iCloud and start fresh.
