IPhone photos won't go onto Mac with iPhoto

I need some photos on my iPhone put onto my Mac.
I usually connect my iPhone into the USB cable which connects to the Mac.
I then open iPhoto on the Mac.
iPhoto then loads the iPhone's photos.
Now, iPhoto says loading... and nothing happens. No iPhone photos load.
Any help please?

Launch Image capture from your applications folder. Does Image capture see these photos? If so, import them using Image capture, then drop them in iPhoto. Make sure you delete them from your phone after you import.

  • Photos won't sync to devices with iPhoto enhancements like cropping

So here's what I'm doing: I'll take photos with my iPhone 4S, import to my Macbook with iPhoto, make adjustments and enhacements using iPhoto like cropping and color enhancements, then I'll add these enhanced photos to albums, then I'll try to sync the iPhoto album to my iPhone or iPad. After syncing, I can view the album photos on my devices but the photos will sometimes look like the original photo from my iPhone instead of the enhanced as it looks in iPhoto.
This only happens to some photos. And it only happens on syncing; if I set the album as an Apple TV screen saver or publish an album to Facebook through iPhoto, the photos publish fine with enhancements intact.
    What's going on?

The secret is to repair or rebuild the damaged library.
    Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Rebuild iPhoto Library Database from automatic backup.
    If that fails:
    Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. This will create a new library based on data in the albumdata.xml file. Not everything will be brought over - no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your albums and keywords back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one. .

  • My iPhone 4 won't sync my calendars with my MacBook.

My iPhone 4 won't sync my calendars with my MacBook.
If I update my iCal on my MacBook it will sync with my iPhone 4, but if I enter new data on my iPhone, it won't sync with my iCal on my computer.

Here is the official article on this problem.
My suggestion, try syncing with sync music turned off. If that doesn't work, try syncing in a new User Page on your mac.
    Try those

  • My iPhone 5 won't complete the sync with my PC...

my iPhone 5 won't complete the sync with my PC, says "waiting for items to copy (step 6 of 6)".  have left the PC and phone connected for up to 15 hours one time, and the status never changes.

I figure it out. Somehow, in my Advanced settings, password was somehow "de-selected" as my Authentication setting in Incoming Selections. I re-selected it, and now everything is back to normal...

  • Photo from iMessage saved to my camera role, how come the saved photo is not available to edit with iPhoto on my iPhone?

When I save a photo from iMessage to my camera role, how come the saved photo is not available to edit with iPhoto on my iPhone?

I tapped a photo in Messages to vie it full screen.
Tapped the Share icon and saved it to my camera roll.
Opened iPhoto for iOS and my image library updated. After the update I could see the image in my camera roll. I selected the amera roll, then tapped the image I had copied from Messages. I was able to edit the photo with no problem.
Did you follow this same procedure or ry to copy the little thumbnail photo from Messages?

I wish to put my name on my photos, how can I do it with Iphotos ?
    Thanks for the reply !

You don't do it with iPhoto.
It can be done in Aperture or with an app like these
    Impression
    iWatermark
There are others. Search on Macupdate.

  • Emailed iphone photo: How to get onto computer?

I took a picture with my iPhone and emailed to a family member. It's now on her iPhone. She wants to save the photo on her Mac. How does she do that?

If she is also accessing the email account with an email client on her Mac such as with the Mail.app, she should receive the email with the photo attached with the email client used on her Mac - unless the account is a POP account and she has remove messages from the server when downloaded for her account preferences with the iPhone's mail client.
Or she can access her account on her Mac via webmail access using a browser where she can view the received email and download the photo to her Mac.
Another option - she can press and hold on the photo received with the iPhone's mail client and select save photo. The photo will be saved in her iPhone's Camera Roll. She can use iPhoto on her Mac to import the photo from her iPhone's Camera Roll.

  • Why are photos showing on my iPad and iPhone photo streams but not my mac's photo stream

I've taken a load of photos on my phone and have placed them in an album within my photo stream, they are now showing up on my iPad but not on my mac which is where i really want them. I've tried turning the wifi on and off again, I've tried turn the devices off and on again. nothing is working! all i want is my work backed up! can anyone help me please?!

    Hello BeccaBatte,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
Please follow the troubleshooting steps in the article below to help resolve this issue with Photo Stream.
I don't see any photos in the My Photo Stream view of iPhoto or Aperture.
Make sure your Mac has an active Wi-Fi or Ethernet connection. If you can't connect to the Internet, updates to My Photo Stream won't appear in iPhoto or Aperture. You can use these steps to troubleshoot your Internet connection on your Mac.
From your Mac, choose System Preferences > iCloud.
Make sure that the Photo Stream checkbox is selected and you're signed in to the same iCloud account that you're using on your other supported devices.
Open iPhoto or Aperture, then choose Preferences > iCloud (or Photo Stream).
If you're using iPhoto 9.4 or later or Aperture 3.4 or later, make sure that My Photo Stream is selected. If you want all new photos that you upload to your iPhoto or Aperture library to upload to My Photo Stream, select Automatic Upload.
If you're using iPhoto 9.2.2 through 9.3.2, or Aperture 3.2.3 through 3.3.2, select Enable Photo Stream and Automatic Import.
I see different photos in My Photo Stream on each of my devices.
Your device will keep up to 1000 photos, even if they're older than 30 days. Photos older than 30 days are removed from the iCloud server, so your devices might not have the same photos, depending on when you enabled My Photo Stream. Due to storage limitations, your Apple TV might display only your most recent photos. If you want to have the most current photos in My Photo Stream on each of your devices and delete the older photos:
If there are any photos in My Photo Stream that you want to keep, save them to your Camera Roll, then back up your Camera Roll and other data using iCloud or iTunes.
Turn My Photo Stream off in Settings > iCloud > Photos (or Photo Stream in iOS 6).
Confirm that you wish to Delete Photos.
Turn My Photo Stream back on. iCloud will automatically push your stored photos to your device.
Repeat these steps for each device.

  • IPhone 4S won't do wifi sync with iTunes

I can't get 4s iPhone iOS 6 to do wifi sync with iTunes on my Mac Pro.  Running Lion on Mac Pro and latest itune version.  Current with all app and software updates.

No, the front screen has never been replaced before but I'm starting to think that the display connector might still have moved a little, I'll try and open it today.
    Thanks.

  • Moving iphoto5 files to new Mac with iPhoto 6

Just bought a new G5 which came with iPhoto 6, had backed up my files from my old G5 which were in iPhoto 5 on an external drive. Having a very hard time getting new mac to load up the photos. I replaced the iPhoto file on the new MAc with the old file - still comes up ss no photo's. I can open the files and see them, but new machine/iPhoto is not recognizing them. Would also like to bring over the folders and slideshows as well. Please help???

Here's one more possibility before you start the tedious process of one by one:
Use iPhoto Library Manager to rebuild your V5 library. It creates a new library by copying the image files and necessary data from the old one. Then you can try to have iPhoto 6 open the rebuild model and see it it will recognize the image files. Here's how:
Using iPhoto Library Manager to Rebuild Your iPhoto Library
Download iPhoto Library Manager and launch.
Click on the Add Library button, navigate to your User/Pictures folder and select your iPhoto Library folder.
Now that the library is listed in the left hand pane of iPLM, click on your library and go to the File->Rebuild Library menu option
In the next window name the new library and select the location you want it to be placed.
    Click on the Create button.
Note: It can take some time to create the new library if you have a lot of photos. One user reported that with a library of about 5,000 images it took about 12 hours so plan ahead.

  • Exporting a book to another Mac with iPhoto 6

Is there any way to move an iPhoto Photo Book off my computer to another that has the same iPhoto software? I need to continue working on it on my laptop while I travel.
    Anyone got any ideas?
    thanks!

    Yes, you can do this.
Copy your entire iPhoto Library folder to the desktop. (In Finder, with iPhoto closed.) Rename the copy (iPhoto Book Library). Option-Launch iPhoto and choose the desktop copied library. Delete all photos, etc. not needed for the book. Burn to disk from within iPhoto. When you load the disk into the other Mac, again Option-launch iPhoto and choose the book library, which will work but still remain separate from that Mac's existing library.
If you wish to merge the book library with the existing iPhoto library you can use the paid version of iPhoto Library Manager.

  • Why are some of my iphone photos resizing when i import them to iphoto?

although most of the photos from my iphone import to iphoto at 2592 x 1936 for a regular iphone photo and 1936 x 1936 for an instagram photo, for some unbeknowst reason, some of the pictures come out as 640 x 480 / 480 x 480... i have no idea why, i haven't done anything different as far as i know?
anyone have any idea what causes it and how i can stop it? also is there any way to get them back to the proper size because i usually delete the pictures straight off my phone once i've imported them.
    thanks x

Not positive what is causing this but I'm pretty sure it is not caused by the iPhoto import process. The import process from a digital camera, camera storage card, or from an iPhone or iOS device does not change the size/dimension/resolution of photos being imported.

  • What photo printer are you all using with iPhoto '08?

What brand and model of printer are you all using or would recommend for use with iPhoto '08?
I've been reading reviews on HP, Epson, Canon... my head is starting to spin. Thoughts?

There has got to be a backup product out there to allow a system to be backed up to a NAS or Drive attached to a server that is as simple as CrashPlan or TimeMachine but that actually work and don't cost $50/month for a system.
    Thoughts?
CrashPlanPROe, the enterprise version, is $60 per year per client, not $50 per month, so it may be worth looking into. It's what we run and it's been working very well for us, though you need a central server to run the software. That server can be Windows, Mac OS X, Linux or Solaris, any of which will work with any of the supported clients:

We tried Retrospect and had to return it for the limitation I mentioned above.
