Iphone pictures on TV

Has anybody figured out how to display iphone pictures on a television screen? I suppose you're going to need a special cable for the TV inputs.

No, your iPhone and your iPad should not appear in the finder.
I'm not sure what you mean about downloading photos with iPhoto being double handling, but you can download direct to a folder with Image Capture. Image Capture can also be used to delete photos from the Camera Roll on the iPhone or iPad (preferrably after they are downloaded).
You can remove the photos you synced from your phone with iTunes by syncing again with an empty folder, That will delete all the photos that were previously synced that way, replacing them with the contents of the empty folder (that is, nothing). This will not effect photos takes with the camera on your iPhone.

Photo library and iphone pictures

I have an Iphone 3gs.
The problem is in Photos.
I should be showing the following
Camera roll
Photo stream
Iphone Pictures
And I am
But I am also showing
Photo Library
Which is a Duplicate of Iphone Pictures
When I go into Itunes to the "select photos from" menu and pick "Iphone Pictures",
Itunes will duplicate the Iphone Pictures album with one called "Photo Library".
When I look on my PC I find Iphone Pictures but do not find "Photo Library".
When I move the Iphone Pictures album to a different directory and replace it with a new
one, the Photo library goes away. Then I try to copy and paste the photos to the new
"Iphone Pictures" folder and resync. The Photo Library comes back as a duplicate again.
This is frustrating.

This is the way Apple handles photos on the iphone. it is normal and is correct.
Just as a book can be in the library and in the fiction section, a pic can be accessed from the folder you sync and the photo library. There are noe two copies, simply two places from which to access the same photo.
If you add several folders/albums, then all pics can be accessed from photo library, and the same photos can be accessed from their respective folders.

I also have the same problem, but the Software Updates tool doesn't recognise that Quicktime is out of date. Have you tried downloading Quicktime 7.7 Leopard from http://support.apple.com/downloads/#quicktime as this worked for me...?

Ah, I understand the problem, and YES , that is a problem with the iPad, since there is no true File System within the iPad, there's no way to do what you're trying (at least that I know). I've had my iPad since May 2010, and have never been able to get past that.
This is one of the areas where and iPad (or any tablet) falls short of a true laptop or other computer.
Sorry to be the one to let you know that.
Unless someone can correct me, I think you're stuck with using another system to get your files uploaded.

I'm wondering how I can import pictures from iTunes to my iPhone. I have taken pictures with a camera, not my iPhone camera. And I got the pictures on my computer, just don't know how to import them to my itunes and then to my iPhone. And I also don't want to lose all my iPhone pictures in my camera roll when I do this.

Camera Roll is the folder on your iPhone which kept all the photos taken from your iPhone Camera or Photos received and saved from your email attachments. They will remain in that folder until you delete them. You may, however, import these photos to your Computer if you want to.

Now the other way round, if you want your Photos from your Computer(whether it's taken from other Digital camera or photos already on your computer) to be transferred to iPhone, you have to sync them over like I mentioned in the first reply.

Copying Iphone pictures to a computer

I need to copy synced photos to laptop as the original file containing photos has corrupted on my desk top. My Iphone pictures are the only copies I have. Have tried searching the files but you can only access the ones taken by the camera and not the synced ones.

You should have had a backup on an external hard drive - the iPhone is not a backup device! You will require 3rd party software (e.g. TouchCopy) to get the pics off the iPhone - even then, keep in mind that they were 'optimized' for the phone, meaning they've been reduced to 0.6 megapixel images and you can never get the full res back. Another option would be to email them to yourself.

To Dos not shown on any iPhone pictures

I recently transfered all of my info over to iCal from Entourage in advance of the iPhone launch.
Now that I have changed over, I noticed that iCal and iSync do not transfer to-dos from iCal onto my current Treo 650 and I've been told that I need the Missing Sync software to do what Entourage already supports.
Furthermore, I have noticed that there is no To-dos Icon on any of the published iPhone pictures on Apple's site.
Is Apple not supporting To Dos from iCal currently or in the future? I would assume a to-do list is one of the most important features of a SMART phone.

iSync will, in fact, interchange task data with your Treo. There must be a configuration issue in your specific situation that prevents task data from being transfered.
You do not need the Missing Sync for Palm OS to support tasks, though it does a better job with an advanced [Palm OS 5.2 or later] device than iSync and the iSync Palm Conduit do. You do need it to support memos. In addition, it resolves the many long standing issues with the iSync Palm Conduit, and synchronizes additional content, including AvantGo, iPhoto and iTunes files.
The iPhone will fully support tasks, despite the lack of specific detail available to date.

Restoring a backup is specific to the backup program you are using to do your daily backups - consult it's manual, help file or author's support site
Back up your iPhoto library, Depress the option (alt) and command keys and launch iPhoto - rebuild your iPhoto library starting with the first option and trying others until you are succesful

View iPhone pictures on PC

I need to view iPhone pictures on my PC. Numerous Google hints suggest using start/StartPrograms/Accessories/ScannerCamera but I cannot see ScannerCamera on the list. I have iTunes installed and the Apple USB driver is being used when the iPhone is plugged in. The PC does not recognise the nthmb format of the pictures. Is there a program that will manage reading and viewing these photos as well as conversion the photos to a jpg format or such?

Connect iPhone to PC with USB Cable. On PC navigate to My Computer > Drives > Click on Camera > that is your iPhone.

The iTunes app only transfers photos to your iPhone, it does not import photos that you have taken with the iPhone camera. There are two Apple apps that are best to use to transfer the photos from the iPhone to the Mac. One is free and already on your Mac, Image Capture. The other is a paid app in the Mac App Store, but has been coming free on new Macs for many years, iPhoto. You can configure your Mac to auto open either iPhoto or Image Capture when the iPhone is connected to your Mac in the Preferences of iPhoto. Or you can configure which app to open in the bottom, left corner of the Image Capture app.

Yes if you have the latest version of the iPhone software 4.0 or higher.
In the Photo app when you can see a grid of photos (i.e. don't go to an individual photo), touch the box with the arrow in the upper right of the screen, you will then be asked to select the photos you want to sen. You are limited to 19 photos max to share, use the share button in the lower left once you have selected your photos.
