Iphone pictures to computer
I have signed up my phone and my computer to transfer pictures from my phone to photo stream. It just won't do it!! It used to with no problem but just quit! What do I need to do? I did notice on the sign up page for the computer the options button next to Photo Stream doesn't work.
Go to Control Panel>Programs>Uninstall a Program, select iCloud and uninstall it. Then run Apple Software Update to install iCloud Control Panel for Windows version 2. (If it doesn't offer to install it, download it from here: http://support.apple.com/kb/DL1455 and install it.) This should get your photo stream Options button to function again.

No, your iPhone and your iPad should not appear in the finder.
I'm not sure what you mean about downloading photos with iPhoto being double handling, but you can download direct to a folder with Image Capture. Image Capture can also be used to delete photos from the Camera Roll on the iPhone or iPad (preferrably after they are downloaded).
You can remove the photos you synced from your phone with iTunes by syncing again with an empty folder, That will delete all the photos that were previously synced that way, replacing them with the contents of the empty folder (that is, nothing). This will not effect photos takes with the camera on your iPhone. -

If you are running Lion then all drivers are distributed through Software Update. You do not need to install anything, other than to install the printer in System Preferences > Print & Scan. If you already added the printer while it was connected using USB, you might want to delete it and set it up again wirelessly to avoid confusion. Or, give them two distinct names e.g. "Photosmart D110 (USB)" and "Photosmart D110 (wireless)".
All scanning functions are now performed using Preview, but you can also access the scanner through the same Print & Scan preference pane, or with Image Capture.

I backed up my iPhone to my computer before I did the ios 8 update and now when i go t restore it it tells me there isnt enough space on the iphone. I lost half of my pictures in my camera roll. Is there anyway i can get these back?
You did import these important photos over to an alternative storage medium, just like you would with any digital camera, right?

after downloading iphone pictures to desktop, itunes won't open. I downloaded itunes 10.6 (64bit) but get "Do you want the following program to make changes to your computer?" Apple Inc. I've clicked "yes", restarted the computer, and still no luck.
I also have the same problem, but the Software Updates tool doesn't recognise that Quicktime is out of date. Have you tried downloading Quicktime 7.7 Leopard from http://support.apple.com/downloads/#quicktime as this worked for me...?

How can I import pictures from my computer to iTunes without losing my iPhone pictures?

I'm wondering how I can import pictures from iTunes to my iPhone. I have taken pictures with a camera, not my iPhone camera. And I got the pictures on my computer, just don't know how to import them to my itunes and then to my iPhone. And I also don't want to lose all my iPhone pictures in my camera roll when I do this.
ThanksCamera Roll is the folder on your iPhone which kept all the photos taken from your iPhone Camera or Photos received and saved from your email attachments. They will remain in that folder until you delete them. You may, however, import these photos to your Computer if you want to.

Now the other way round, if you want your Photos from your Computer(whether it's taken from other Digital camera or photos already on your computer) to be transferred to iPhone, you have to sync them over like I mentioned in the first reply. -
I want to automatically have my pictures copied from my iphone to my computer into "my pictures" into a dated folder. My phone did this at first and now it doesn't. How do I set this up? Thank you.
What does the family WiFi have to do with iCloud? iCloud is on Apple's servers.
If it is a shared computer what you can do is create a new user ID on the computer. Log in with the new ID. This will give you a "clean" iTunes library that you can use for backing up the the old phone and syncing the new phone. -
I plugged my Iphone into the computer to put my pics on the computer. It went strait to itunes an erased all my contacts and pictures and replaced them with my husbands contacts and photos. Can i get the contacts and photos back?
Have you synced your iPhone with iTunes on this computer before? If not, nothing is selected automatically under the various tabs for your iPhone sync preferences with iTunes.
Was this the first time your iPhone was connected to iTunes on any computer? If so, the first time an iPhone is connected to iTunes for the first time that is used to sync with another iPhone or iOS device, you are prompted to transfer the backup for the other iPhone or eyeless device to the iPhone or set up the iPhone as a new iPhone. This is not automatic, it must be manually selected. -

Looks like your syncing pics on your computer to your phone. to remove it when your phone is sync to itunes, uncheck sync in the photos tab. -

I just upgraded my iphone 4S to IOS 8 and a ton of pictures appeared on my iphone from my computer. I want them saved in my computer iphoto but not on my phone. If I delete them from my phone will they delete in iphoto on my computer? They are taking up a lot of memory. Thanks
No they will not delete. If you are nervous about that, connect your phone to your computer and import the photos into iPhoto and drag them into a new folder on your desktop.

So you make backups of your iPhone pictures but they don't appear on your iPad.
I'm not sure how you are backing them up, but if you sync them to your computer (iTunes), you can then sync them to your iPad.

Transfering Pictures from Computer to Iphone
Hey There, i am windows xp user and i have downloaded a few wallpapers for iphone on my computer. Can someone please help to put them on to my iphone. I tried various methods but it wont allow me to put my pictures _from the Computer to my Iphone._
i had this problem as well when i was attempting to transfer photo's from my computer to my iphone. i believe what i did was simply change the destination of the sync folder in itunes. for some reason itunes didn't like syncing the "my photo's" folder on most people's PC's. try creating a new folder somewhere and changing the sync directory in itunes, you can create as many subdirectories in that folder as you'd like too!
for instance:
iphone pictures
wallpapers
friends
family
etc...(you get the picture)
