IPhone Pre-Order Arriving a Day Early

I woke up to this message:
Dear Apple Store Customer,
You recently received a Shipment Notification email from Apple advising you that your iPhone has shipped.
This email is to confirm that your delivery will occur on June 23rd. Although Apple and FedEx tracking information may currently indicate a later date, you can check the FedEx website the morning of the June 23rd to track your package to your doorstep.
In the event that you will not be available to accept delivery on June 23rd, it may be more convenient to use our pre-sign delivery option by visiting our Order Status website at http://www.apple.com/orderstatus.
Sincerely,
The Apple Store Team

that has to be the email that brings the most joy right about now. Congrats! I know several people have had issues with orders being canceled and everything but you can't help but smile and be excited when your new iPhone is on it's way.

  • Will Apple be doing Verizon iPhone pre-orders on 2/3??

I know Verizon will be doing the pre-order on 2/3, but I have a large Apple gift card to use. So my question is will Apple be doing Verizon iPhone pre-orders on 2/3 as well? I couldn't find the answer to this anywhere. Thanks guys.

Based on this link, you will be able to.

    If not, wait a week.

  • Can you change the type of iphone that you pre-ordered before launch day??

I pre-ordered the 16GB Black iphone for pick up at my local Apple store and think i should have ordered the 32gb instead. Was curious if anyone has called to change their phone type from 16gb to 32 or 32gb to 16gb. Thought I would check here before calling them and bugging them.

Limited availability. Some mixes responses. My store will not allow changes of pre-orders or reservations. Others have said they will allow changes, but you'll have to head to the back of the line.

  • Verizon iPhone pre-order!!

    Dear, Verizon
the suspense is killing me LOL I can't wait for the Verizon iPhone is there any way you could make the pre-order date earlier?? I would feel so much better and be able to relax if I knew my pre-order was in already and just wait for the shipment confirmation. Just a though thanks.

just a few more days till we have details friend!
Dont worry though.  they are doing this a lot differently than they previously did in the past.
Take the droid x, first come first serve on....150,000 units...debacle
Iphone will have several million available on launch.  if it was anything like att, pre orders will sell out in about 16 hours and feb 10th, you will have to wait in line but it will take 2-3 days to sell out then.
If you cant get a iphone on the 3rd, i suggest hitting up a verizon corp store that is in a small town and get their midnight,  they will open at 7am for the iphone.
    best of luck

  • Iphone pre-order experiences?

Just curious what the general experience has been for people who have gone through it.  I plan on ditching my horrible thunderbolt for a new iphone 5 as soon as it launches and I cannot wait!  One question I have is will I want to take the day off of work when it arrives so I can get the phone? I ask this because i've heard that UPS/FedEX will not leave the box at the door due to it being a new gen Iphone.  Also, will I have to take it into a store to activate? I'm hoping that I'm able to grab one via pre order shipment online so it comes the day it's launched, has anyone had any experiences w/ any of this?

You might able to ship the iPhone 5 to your work address, but last time around I think they were only letting people ship to their billing address. (To prevent fraud, maybe?) With the iPhone, you actually activate through iTunes- no visit to the store required.

  • Pre-order arrival date

If I pre-order on the Verizon website is it possible to pick up my iphone in the store on the 14th???? If I do preorder on the 7th and choose to have it shipped any guess on the arrival date? Will it ship on the 14th or arrive on the 14th?

    Hi bhughes,
We are excited about the iPhone 4S too! Please note that orders placed online for the iPhone 4S cannot be picked up at any Verizon Wireless store and must be shipped to the addressed provided when processing the online order.
While the release day of the iPhone 4S is October 14 delivery dates vary based on the actual pre-order date. If you pre-ordered your iPhone 4S please visit this LINK for a status update of your order.
Please note that our online pre-order website now shows a shipping date of October 27, 2011, for online orders processed on October 12, 2011, and orders placed tomorrow may indicate a different shipping date.

  • Iphone pre-order exchange

So I was one of the first people to order the white 32gb model at my local best buy. Later on throughout the day I was reading numerous reports about the white iphone not being available so I went back and changed my order to black. The way the best buy employee changed which color I wanted was by going back to find my pre order sheet and receipt and she just marked off white for black directly on the receipt and as well as on my copy too; and then she continued did it on the pre-order sheet as well....
My QUESTION is that did she really change my pre-order? Isn't she supposed to actually exchange it using the computer system setup?

Short answer: yes. Long answer: no.
The phones don't come with names already on them, so as they're going through the appointment setup, you'll go with the black unit flow. I wouldn't worry.

  • CTO MacPro Arrived 11 Days Early!  Works GREAT!

I'm a happy camper today. My MacPro was scheduled to arrive on September 26th (ordered August 12th) and it arrived yesterday, 11 days early!
This is the sixth Apple product I've purchased online and received long before the promised delivery date.
    This MacPro came loaded: 3GHz/4GB-RAM/3-500GB-HD/2-SD/X1900XT/AE/BT
And I purchased 30" Cinema HD Display at the same time but that came just over a week after original order and has been sitting in the box waiting for the MacPro to arrive.
So how did setup go? Easy as pie. Does everything work? Positively.
First up was the display and MacPro setup. Instructions were easy to follow. When I pressed the start button it took me through the welcome process, asked if I wanted to transfer all my settings from a previous machine and I said yes. Had me connect the (Intel) iMac to the MacPro with a firewire cable then restart the iMac and hold down the "T" key. The MacPro connected like a champ and went forward with all settings and file transfer. Took about three hours because I had filled up 300 Gigs on the iMac.
Once my familiar desktop background came up and all my programs I began checking them. All worked except for iTunes and QuickTime so I connected my broadband service and downloaded and installed the updates. Both had been updated on the iMac but apparently the MacPro kept the earlier versions. Connected external speakers, an HP ColorLaserjet and EyeTV 500 and all worked right off the bat.
The only thing I haven't really put through the wringer yet is Final Cut Express but when started it came up as usual and I tested a current project I am working on. I'll work more with it this coming week. Both SuperDrives read CDs and DVDs with great ease.
The new 30" display is amazing and so roomy! LOL! The MacPro is soooooo fast! I'm even thinking of pushing the ram up to 8 Gigs just because I can!

    First up ... MacPro setup.
    When I pressed
the start button it took me through the welcome
process, asked if I wanted to transfer all my
settings from a previous machine and I said yes.
Hi! I get this far and then panic because:
Had me connect the (Intel) iMac to the MacPro with
a firewire cable then restart the iMac and hold
    down the "T" key.
    I have a 4pin to 6pin Firewire cable and can't find a
way to connect the two machines.
As someone else has noted, you'll need to obtain a 6pin to 6pin Firewire cable. Go to Office Depot, Staples or Radio Shack and pick one up or borrow one if need be.
The MacPro connected like a champ and
went forward with all settings and file transfer.
Took about three hours because I had filled up 300
    Gigs on the iMac.
Did you transfer everything like User files or should
I continue on with normal setup and create a
duplicate user with admin access? I'm afraid if I
don't do that and a problem erupts, I won't be able
    to recover.
Yes, I transferred some 300Gig of everything on the machine. A menu box came up and all boxes were checked. You can uncheck any items you don't want installed. What I was after was a complete duplication of all files from my Intel iMac. It took about 3 hours to complete the transfer and the instructions are easy to follow. The process provides you with a descending timeclock so you know when to return to the machine. I went about my daily Saturday chores (shopping, laundry, etc...) and finished just in time for the install process to complete.
Once my familiar desktop background came up and
all my programs I began checking them. All worked
except for iTunes and QuickTime so I connected my
broadband service and downloaded and installed the
    updates.
    Connected
external speakers, an HP ColorLaserjet and EyeTV
500 and all worked right off the bat.
This sounds promising because others have
reported many programs are broken or don't work at
all. What would be perfect for me would be a full
duplication of all my files from my iMac (it's an
Intel setup) over to the Mac Pro.
I have a huge selection of apps installed and haven't come across one that won't play. Printer prints, apps work, and the whole system is incredibly fast. You shouldn't have any problems.
The new 30" display is amazing and so roomy! LOL!
I have the 23" inch Cinema display and I'm surprised
at how much bigger it is compared to my 20" iMac.
Does the entire screen present the desktop or is
there a black frame around it. When I start the
installation setup the picture is just a square in
the center of the display. I thought the picture
would fill the whole frame display.
This is normal. The screen resolution hasn't bee set yet. Once you transfer over all of your system and user files the screen will appear as it should. I should have made that clear when I noted my familiar desktop came up. it came up and filled the entire 30" screen, edge to edge. When you play movies they do the same and they are so clear and crisp it makes you go "wow" right away.
I'm a former OS/2 user and when switching to new hardware it was always a hit or miss operation. More often then not I found myself starting from scratch and reinstalling the OS along with all the applications. Invaribly I lost important apps or files and it was annoying. You don't have to worry about that with your MacPro transfer. You get exactly what you had on your previous Apple system.
What I did find was that the transfer actually helped some apps I was having problems with on the iMac. Those apps refused to open but when transferred to the MacPro they opened just fine and worked as they should. That was a plus!
I'm the kind of guy who leaves his machine on 24 hours a day 7 days a week. I may reboot when needed but used to leaving a system running continously. I feel guilty if I shut it down for any long period of time. I keep my machines doing something: rendering movies, downloading files, running calculations, updating listings, monitoring auctions, etc.
I've never had a problem with any of my three machines (BlackBook, iMac or this MacPro). I believe a majority of Apple buyers feel the same way and have machines that totally rock. I know that if something went wrong that Apple would be there with the support I needed.
I remember receiving my Intel iMac and looking for the wireless mouse and keyboard, which I ordered at the same time. I assumed they would be in the box but they weren't there. The iMac was my first Apple purchase so I marched right into the SF Downtown Apple store and asked for help from a salesman. He looked up my order, confirmed I had been charged for the wireless items, excused himself and came back with the box containing the keyboard and mouse. I signed a delivery receipt and was thankful for such great support.
Get your new firewire cable and go for it! I'm sure you'll be as pleased as I am with my MacPro!

  • If You Want To Know When iPhone Pre-Order Will Start...

You should go to the Apple website (http://www.apple.com/iphone/) and set it up so that you get sent a text message when they are ready to pre-order.
To do this, enter your phone number as an e-mail address. I'm not sure of the ones outside of the States, but with AT&T, you enter it like "[email protected]". You can try this...send yourself an e-mail to that format, and it'll show up as a text.
Now, when Apple starts to send out their e-mail letting us know when the pre-orders have started, you'll receive it as a text.
EDIT: Completely unrelated to this topic, but "[email protected]" works for MMS's. If you attach a picture and send it off to this "e-mail", it'll send the pic to the phone.

  • Iphone pre order SUCKS

Ordered on the 3rd, yet I still have no information about when or even IF my phone will be coming.  Not a single business customer has received shipping information yet millions of consumers have their phone.  You did this to us with the Droid INC too.  If you can get an order right, then dont take it.  I've had it with Verizon, i'll be sending mine back and going with Sprint instead.  I wont spend $2,500 monthly to be told you dont know where my order is and dont know when it will come and that no one else will get their phones.......
    **bleep**

Thanks - a good link to have.
When I ported my number from Verizon 3-4 years ago before the iPhone was available, I set everything up and ordered a phone online via AT&T's website. This wasn't a pre-order for something like the iPhone, but I had to enter my billing address, social security number, and phone number with area code that I wanted to port. I don't recall having to enter my Verizon account number but maybe so.
I assumed the same could be done online when placing a pre-order, and not good to assume.

  • IPhone pre-order question.

I pre-ordered my iPhone 4 to be picked up at the Apple Store in my area. I chose the 32G like I did last year, but I've never used more than 12G at one time, so I think it's a waist to get the 32G, so I'm wanting to know when I pick up my iPhone 4 32G, can they change it to the 16G? I've tried calling the Apple Store and Apple's main line and apparently they don't staff enough people to take calls when it gets busy. Apple's main line won't even let you wait to speak to a representative. If anyone knows the answer to my question, please respond.

Most likely they will not be able to answer your question now. I would think they will be willing to give you the 16 GB instead of the 32 GB you pre-ordered, but it's going to depend on the available stock in whatever store you're picking up at, at the time you get there. If they've sold out of the 16 GB model, then can't change your order.

  • IPhone pre order

    Hi,
I plan on pre ordering the iPhone at full price. I am on a family plan, but I am not the Account Holder. I am authorized on the account, but I understand that I will have to be signed onto the account holder's account to be able to pre order. My only concern is will I be able to enter in my own credit card information? I don't want it to automatically charge it to the account holder's credit card. Does anyone know if I have the option to enter in my own credit card information? Thanks, and sorry if this has already been asked!

I believe you are given various options for payment at checkout - bill to account, or provide credit card information. I would think any valid credit card should work, especially since not every account holder necessarily has a credit card "on file".

  • IPhone pre order without subsidy

My At&t number is currently not eligible for an upgrade. I want to pre order a iPhone 4 from the Apple website once I can do so next week. Will I be able to pre order an iPhone 4 for the full $699 price? Or are pre orders for upgrades only?
    Thank you.
My apologies if this question has already been answered.

When I pre-ordered my 3GS last year, I was in your same position. The store let me pre-order the 3GS at the $699 price and it came activated with my current phone number.

  • IPhone Pre-Order Questions

Will there be any other way to Pre-Order the iPhone. Possibly at my Verizon Store, or over the phone? And help would be appreciated.

NOPE!! It's online or nothing for the pre-orders on the 3rd.

  • Bonus points for pre-ordering X-Men: Days of Future Past

    Hello,
I ordered this blu-ray the same day as I did for Captain America: The Winter's Soldier.  I received my 100 bonus points for Captain America a few weeks ago.  However, when I checked my account this morning for the bonus points on X-Men, it only showed 1 point (instead of 100).  I was wondering what happened to it.  Thanks for any info you can offer.

    Hi nmander33,
We did have a promotion between 8/31/2014 and 9/6/2014 that was offering 100 bonus points with select pre-orders.  This offer was only available on BestBuy.com, there was a limit of 100 bonus points per title, and a maximum of 600 bonus points per member.  If your pre-order of X-Men: Days of Future Past was placed while the offer was valid, then 100 bonus points should post to your My Best Buy account within about 20 days.  You may not see those bonus points emerge as pending or post until after your pre-order is fulfilled.
If you do not see 100 bonus points post to your My Best Buy account within 20 days of your pre-order being shipped or picked up, then please feel free to send me a private message and I will see what I can do to help.  You can send a private message by clicking on the blue button within my signature.
Thank you for posting to the forum and don't forget the popcorn!
