IPhone pulls automatically pulls up Photos when I plug it in to Windows computer.

Just FYI...I have Hp pavillion g7 notebook PC running windows 8.1 64 bit. I have an interesting case. When I plug my phone into my computer it quickly and automatically pulls up the Photos app that came with the computer. It NEVER did this before, until one day when I transfered some pics from my phone to the computer. Ever since that day this has been happening.
In addition, my computer and phone wont sync up so I cant tranfer any music. The computer recognizes the cable (It makes the sound and charges the phone as well as pulling up the photos app) and the phone knows it's plugged in because under settings->iTunes Wifi sync, it says "Sync will resume when 'Computer'sName' is available" However, in iTunes, the sync button is greyed out. Any ideas?

The first issue sounds link a setting to 'Open xxx when a camera is detected' has been set. The iPhone contains the photo data which mounts like a camera when connected. See if the app has any settings to disable that. Otherwise see if Windows has a setting for what app to launch when a camera is connected.

I suspect once the phone is attached as a camera iTunes is no longer able to use it. Disable the auto play feature above, reboot connect the iPhone & then see if iTunes is able to sync. NOTE: iTunes wifi sync is not the same as USB sync. Wifi sync requires both devices are on the same local network - is this the case?
In iTunes select your device to see how it is setup - the summary section of the device pages will show you an option to disable wifi sync when the iPhone is connected.

I've seen this happen when the phone was encrypted... Other than calling apple/deleting passcodes I don't know of any solution.
If you're keen on waiting, upload your photos to dropbox, that's the way I do it.

Check your System Profiler to see if your computer is recognizing them. You may need to reset the computers SMC.

My iphone text tone is not working when I plug in the earphone.
My earphone is always plug into the iphone as I use it to answer calls. I notice that iphone does not alert me (sound) when there is a new messages. Instead the text sound is transfer to the earphone speaker.
As the earphone is plug into the iphone and I am not putting it on always, I need it to still hear the text tone whenever I received new messages.
Anyone pls help.. the problem still there even I updated..

Your options are:
1) Unplug the headset.
2) Leave the headset plugged in and the earpiece in your ear at all times.

In order to have the account's Sent mailbox synchronized with the server with the Mail.app on your Mac and with the iPhone's Mail application, you must store the account's Sent mailbox on the server with each. The same applies to the account's Drafts and Trash mailboxes.
With store sent messages on the server deselected for the account preferences with the Mail.app on your Mac, create an "On My Mac" location mailbox. At the Mail.app menu bar go to Mailbox and select New Mailbox. Choose On My Mac for the mailbox location - which will be stored locally on your computer's hard drive and enter a name for the mailbox. You can name this mailbox MobileMe Sent. Select OK to create the mailbox, which will be available under "On My Mac" in the Mail.app mailboxes drawer.
Select your MobileMe Sent mailbox. Select a sent message in the mailbox and at the menu bar go to Edit and choose Select All. Follow this - at the Mail.app menu bar go to Message and select Move To and then select the new On My Mac location mailbox in the window provided. This will move all messages from the account's locally stored sent mailbox to the newly created On My Mac location mailbox. When this transfer has been completed, re-select store sent messages on the server for the account preferences.
Now do the same with the newly created On My Mac location mailbox where all sent messages were transferred to. Select a message in the mailbox and at the menu bar go to Edit > Select All. At the menu bar go to Message > Move To and select your MobileMe account's server stored Sent mailbox under Sent in the window provided. It means that nano was used on a third-party software or synced from different computer to sync music. Does that nano show in iTunes? If yes, then restore completely. If not, then you may need to head to Apple Store and see what they can do.

Where did you put them?
These are not part of the sync process at all, as the manual tells you. You should be importing them to your comptuer regularly as you would with any digital camera.

Configure your security software
Check your security software and settings, which can block ports and prevent connection to Apple servers during update and restore.
Common errors: 2, 4, 6, 9, 1000, 1611, 9006, 9807, 9844. Sometimes as a result of this issue, a device might stop responding during the restore process.
