IPhone purchase question.....?

I recently ordered my iPhone 4 through the Apple site. But I already have on on preorder at Best Buy.
So my question is, if Best Buy calls me and says my iPhone 4 is in, can I pick it up from them, then cancel my purchase that I made through the Apple store?
I was just wondering,
Thanks in advance!!

You can cancel your order made via Apple's online store as long as the order status hasn't changed to prepared for shipment. Once the order status has changed to prepared for shipment, you can't cancel the order.

  • Transfer iPhone Purchases Question

How can I transfer apps purchased on my iPhone under one apple Id to iTunes running on my PC with a different apple Id?  I want to start using this new apple account I just created for all new purchases.

You can't transfer purchases between Apple IDs / iTunes Store accounts.
But there's nothing to stop you using multiple Apple IDs. It just becomes a bit more complicated when updating apps as you have to make sure you are logged in to the iTunes account originally used to download the app.

  • IPhone Purchasing Questions

So, I'm 20 and still don't have credit. I wouldn't be so eager to get it either, but AT&T want me to throw down $500 for a deposit when I buy my iPhone. I just don't have that kind of money right now. I've already budgeted for the cost of the phone and monthly costs, so the phone I can pay for, it's just the deposit that's getting me. Now, I've talked to my mom about getting a first credit card and she's ******** about how I shouldn't get it and blah blah blah. Now, if I knew how to go about getting one myself, I'd just do it since I'm 20, but yea, I've got no clue what I'd be doing and well, I don't wanna **** myself up even more by getting into debt.
I've heard that the 'piggybacking' method doesn't work anymore, but there's a way now to do it still. But, I'd need to be a joint account holder on the account, which my mom's credit is poor, so is my dad's. My grandparents on the other hand have a score of like 800 or something, but I just know they're not going to put my name as a joint account hold or nothing.
So, how should I go about getting my credit built up? I did try and apply for a card from Paypal about a year ago, but got denied. I'm at a lost, and don't say just wait on the phone, I've been eying it since the original came out and I'm about to fucken die to have one, yea I know, it's a trend isn't it. I've already set out how much it'd cost monthly, it's just getting past the deposit.
Any ideas? If I do some how end up getting approved for a card, it'd be for simple things I could pay off on time so that those nasty interest rates didn't get me, but would that have no affect or what? I'm talking simple gas fillups only.
    Thanks.

Even if you were approved with a revolving credit card this week, AT&T probably won't waive the deposit requirement after a month or two of paying the credit card bill in full. Instead of asking your grandparents to co-sign on your AT&T account, ask them if you can borrow $500 from them for the deposit. If you can afford paying the $500 loan back at $50/mo and your grandparents are willing to accept this, you would have the loan for the deposit paid for in 10 months and after paying your AT&T bill in full and on time for 12 months, AT&T will or should credit you the $500 deposit, which should cover your monthly bill for the next 6 months or so after the credit is issued to your account.

My classic iPod is not showing up anymore under devices in my iTunes library. How do I get it to be recognized so I can transfer my iPhone purchases to my classic iPod?

    Hello johnohuk,
Thanks for the question. It sounds like most of your music was purchased from the iTunes Store. If your country supports iTunes in the Cloud, you can download your past purchases using this article:

  • Using my iphone purchased from japan in the united states

I am US Millitary stationed in japan and would like to know what i have to do to use my Iphone in the states?

Sell your iPhone in Japan and buy a new one when you get to the US.
All iPhones sold in Japan are locked to the selling carrier and none of
the carriers offer unlocking. You will not be able to use an iPhone purchased
in Japan when you get to the US.
    Thank you for your service.

  • Hello, I want to know if an iPhone purchased in the United States 4S can operate in France. Thank you for your response.

hello, I want to know if an iPhone purchased in the United States 4S can operate in France. Thank you for your response.
(unlocked of course). Sorry for my English but I am French

The officially unlocked GSM version will work just fine. However, that model is currently only available through Apple's online store, I don't believe stock has reached brick/mortar stores yet, you'll have to check.
Why do you want to purchase in the US? Your warranty & support will only be valid in the US, and you can purchase officially unlocked iPhones in France that have an EU wide warranty. Doesn't make any sense to me.

  • Original iPhone just stolen so upgrading to iPhone 4; question

Apple website says bring my old iPhone to Apple store to get an upgrade. Will I just suffer a new 2 year contract with new data plan? Or something far more sinister since I no longer physically have the old iPhone? I have checked my usage and see monthly max has been 500MB so will downgrade to 2GB and save the $10/month.

Not sure why you are instructed to bring your existing iPhone to the Apple store for a new iPhone purchase at AT&T's fully subsidized or discounted price or otherwise. It isn't an exchange, and the SIM card being used with the iPhone if you still had it and were using it is not required to activate a new iPhone. A new iPhone ships in the U.S. with a new SIM card pre-installed.
This is not required so I would ignore it.

  • Apple only accept debit or credit card for iphone purchase

Apple Inc. no longer accepts cash for iPhone purchases and now limits sales of the cell phone to two per person in a move to stop people from reselling them.
The new policy started Thursday, said Apple spokeswoman Natalie Kerris. Before then, there was no cash restriction and the purchase limit was five per person.
How can I buy an iphone i do not have a debit or credit card is that even legal not to accpet cash as i recall you must accept cash for any payments under $ 9,999.99
im wondering is that legal since everybody doesnt have debit or credit cards and that would be discriminating customers

Apple can invoke any policy they want for accepting tender for the purchase of the iPhone or any other product.
It would be interesting if you or I went up to the counter and wanted to buy a Mac and they did accept cash in lieu of a debit or credit card. I believe that would be a "double standard".
Having said that, the real issue I believe and what I read in the information released by Apple in their quarterly report last week is the unlocking of iPhones.
It appears that there has been the development of a "cottage industry" in the business of unlocking the iPhone to the point where the President of Apple (not Steve Jobs) stated that they, Apple, believe that there are at least 250,000 iPhones that have not been activated through AT&T to date, i.e., through September 30, 2007.
How the taking restricting of cash transactions for the iPhone will reduce the unlocking issue is beyond my comprehension. I could buy a number of iPhones two at a time with my debit card and/or my debit card by just showing up at a store a number of times. Just in my area alone, northern Virginia, there are 4 Apple Stores within 1.5 hours of my home.
I have 5 credit cards and 2 debit cards. I could buy 14 iPhones without ever violating the new Apple policy. I guess I could also write a check off of my 3 checking accounts - that would permit me to buy 6 additional iPhones.
Is Apple going to hold credit card or debit receipts to compare how many times an individual purchased an iPhone.
If so, isn't that a potential security problem with regard to having that data around for other than electronic transfer purposes?
There has to be some misunderstanding of the policy if in fact there is such a policy.

Iphone purchased and gifted to an india person with non contract apple iphone.  it can use in india or not

If it is an unlocked iPhone, GSM model, it should work though will not likely work on an LTE network...those are not consistent in frequencies.
But, keep in mind that the warranty is only valid in the country of sale.  If there is a problem with the iPhone, there will be no support for it in India.  It will have to be returned to the country of purchase for service support.
