Iphone refuses to except new playlist

i have a 32g 3gs and i also sync all music and playlists. today i made a new playlist but it refuses to sync to my iphone please help

Did you try it with another itunes?
if not try it and if it shows you the same problem, that should be a problem in your iphone. but if it is from the itunes, I would re-download the itunes and re-do the same thing from the beginning.

  • I can't access my new playlist on my iPhone 4s when using iTunes Match

I recently spent 5 hours combing through my entire digital music collection to compile a playlist of all the songs I want to hear right now.  It is 696 songs and 1.7 days long.  Both my iTunes on my computer and my iPhone 4s have the latest version of the available software.  I cannot see or listen to my new playlist on my iPhone.  I have done the following (with no success):
    1) I have updated iTunes Match.
    2) I have powered off and powered on my iPhone
    3) I have disable and re-enabled Match on my iPhone.
    4) I have disable Match on my iPhone, connected my iPhone to my computer via a USB cord, transfered my playlist that way, then re-enabled Match on my iPhone.  Still, I do not have access to my playlist.  While this did have the desired the affect of putting the playlist on my iPhone, I then could not download the songs that were in the playlist onto my iPhone without Match or performing the laborous task of transfering each song individually via the USB cord.  Not to mention the fact that I play for Match and expect it to work.
    5) I have disabled Match on my iPhone, powered off and powered on my iPhone.  Then, I re-enabled Match on my iPhone.
None of these actions have resulted in the desired occurance.  I have read through the community and when I find someone who said they have fixed the problem, the person either has a minimal grasp of the English language and I do not understand that person or I have already completed the action that the person recommends.
I feel as though, since I pay for this service, that iTunes, i.e. Apple, should address my problem directly, rather than rely on the support of a community of people who are up the same creek, lacking a tool for forward momentum.
I somewhat feel as though I, and all others in a like-situation, should receive a refund for Match or, at the very least, some sort of compensation for time during which it has caused problems.
Additionally, I refuse to ever purchase an apple product again.  They are not the company of quality that they used to be and we are all now just paying top dollar for an subpar product.

Additionally, when trouble shooting, and you disable iTunes Match on an iOS device you cannot simply re-enable it immediately. You must launch the Music app and let the content clear out before re-enabling the service.

  • I cannot sync new playlists from iTunes PC to my iPhone

I have read through many Apple support topics and how-tos, I have tried everything I can to get iTunes to copy over/ sync new playlists from my PC. Doesn't matter if I select manual choosing of music, or select individual playlists, update my preferences, or drag the playlists over to the iPhone... every single time I try syncing the result is that those new playlists NEVER APPEAR on my iphone.  I do usb syncing, wifi syncing... nothing will work.
This is incredibly frustrating!!   Now I understand why so many of my friends are just giving up on Apple products.
Why does such a SIMPLE process not work???

Apples update to iPhoto 11 (9.4.1) seems to have corrected the probem! I can selectively sync photo albums and events again. If anyone else is having the problem update to 9.4.1 !

  • How do I add a new playlist from itunes 11.0.0.163 to my iphone 4s?

I created a playlist on itunes 11.0.0.163. It is visible on the computer as a playlist in the itunes music play lists. I do now know how to add the newly created playlist to my iphone 4s.

Definitely not the same way as in previous versions.
    It definnitely does.
    quiver11 wrote:
Adding a new playlist in previous version was a quick drag and drop.
    And it still is.
Enable the side bar by doing Cntrl + S.
Then drag and drop to your hearts content.
OR just enable syncing and select the items you desire to have synced, then sync.

  • Unable to create a new playlist on Itunes when in "On My IPhone " mode. New playlist shows as greyed out. Why?

Before the recent update on Itunes, I was able to create new playlists and drag music diretly into saved playlist folders from my laptop. Now, I can't do either because when in the what's on " my Iphone" mode, trying to creat a playlist is impossible because it is greyed out. I can no longer drag and drop music into saved playlist showing on my phone. What's going on Apple? or anyone.

Don't press the option key, instead hold down the command and R keys, if recovery is present that will take you there.
Thanks for this suggestion, but I have already tried that. The only way for me to boot my mac is by starting in single user mode and mounting the drive, then exiting from there. Nothing else will work, I cannot press Command-R, so this will not work.
Thank you both for your suggestions as well. I found your help useful and it will help me solve this :-)
I have ended up buying a Flash Drive, and will now download the Mountain Lion installer. I assume that I will be able to boot from this, and then use Disk Utility to format the drive, and later on install Mac OSX Mountain Lion on it?
    Thanks Again.

  • Cannot add a new playlist to my iphone - Help!!!

I am not able to add a new playlist to my iphone.  I recently changed my computer, and when I choose the option to manually manage my music, I get a message that my phone is synced to a different itunes library, and if I sync to this library my content will be erased.  Obviously I did not continue.  I authorized this computer (which I had not done before), but I still cannot add a new playlist.  What can I do?

I found this solution on a gogle discussion site, and it works.
"In iTunes, right click the playlist on your iPhone then select "export" to export the playlist as a .txt file (I have 3GS with iOS5).
Then still in iTunes, select "File, Library, Import Playlist", navigate to and open the .txt file, and it will appear in the iTunes sidebar.
I've tried to do this numerous times before.  Sorry if this is old news but I was so pleased I wanted to share it."
After creating the playlists in your itunes library, sync your phone with the settings to manually manage your music (which will delete all the music from your phone), then drag the playlists back to your iphone.  You can then start manually managing music on your phone.

  • Trouble Creating New Playlists and Adding Music to iPhone 3GS

Just bought an iPhone 3GS and was manually adding songs to it the way I have with other iPods. No problems. Then, suddenly it wouldn't let me manually add any more songs. It's not a space issue since it's a 16 GB and I only put on about 1 GB of music.
Now, I can create new Playlists in iTunes, but I can't add any songs to them. I also tried adding songs to my old iPod, but that was a no-go as well. Every song I try to add just bounces back into iTunes. Any idea on what may have caused this?

Just re-installed the software and restarted my computer. It appears to be working again, for now.

  • I have my iTunes music folder stored on an external hard drive.  I recently purchased a new Mac.  After attaching the external hard drive, all the songs imported without any problem except my Playlists.  Any clue about where they are or how to revive them

To retain your playlists, artwork, play counts, etc, you need to move the entire iTunes folder, not just the music files..
    Correct.
After that just select the new folder location in iTunes> Advanced settings.
    Incorrect.
    Hold Option and launch iTunes.
Select Choose library and select the iTunes folder.
This will read the iTunes library.itl file in this folder and the library as it was previously will be opened.

  • I copied my entire iTunes folder to my new Mac and now new playlists won't sync to my iPhone.

Hi. I recently installed a new hard drive to my Macbook Pro and as I wanted a clean start decided not to restore from Time Machine. I just copied the entire old iTunes folder into my new music library. iTunes itself functions normally but it won't sync new playlists to my iPhone 5.
I had similar problems with syncing my iPhoto library to my iPhone through iTunes but I rebuilt the iPhoto library and that seemed to fix it. Is there a way to rebuild the iTunes library? I used this document:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1451?viewlocale=en_US&locale=en_US
and was given error code -50 saying it was unable to import the playlists.
    Any help greatly appreciated.

  • HT1711 My new playlist does not transfer to my iPhone from my Computer, why?

I created two new Playlist on my computer, then connected my iPhone to the computer to Sync it.
The process took place, but my Playlist did not change on my iPhone, to reflect the change that
I had made om my computer.  I followed the instructions in the Help section, but still the new
playlist did not sync to my iPhone, wonder why?

Does your Macbook "remember" the password and enter it automatically? If so then your own memory may not be remembering the password exactly. I would try, on the Macbook, changing the wifi password and then seeing if the new one will enter from the iPad ok. Good luck.

  • I created a new playlist on iTunes but I can't see it on my iPhone?

I created a new playlist on iTunes but I can't see it on my iPhone?
This is iPhone 6 latest OS version

    Hi ik-graphics,
So you synced a new playlist to your iPhone but it isn't available on the phone?
When you synced the playlist to your iPhone with iTunes, did you have the music set to sync the Entire music library or Selected playlist…?
    3.  Select the Sync checkbox, then select the items you want to sync automatically each time you connect your device.
If you had it set for Selected playlist, please make sure the new one is selected to sync.
    Take care,
    Nubz

is there something wrong with my phone or a switch that i can turn on to make this option available for my phone?

    Hello timmyboylad,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
As a first step for troubleshooting this issue where you're unable to create a new playlist, please update your iPhone to iOS 8.3.

  • I recently bought a few new songs from iTunes and they transfer to my iPhone, but not into the Playlists I dragged them into

I recently bought a few new songs from iTunes and they transfer to my iPhone, but not into the Playlists I dragged them into

Do the problem songs play in iTunes on the computer?
Is Settings>iTunes and App Store signed into the account that purchased them?
Can yo redownlod them directly to the iPod by:
Downloading past purchases from the App Store, iBookstore, and iTunes Store
Do they show up in the Purchased list?
Do you have any Restrictions (Settings>General>Restrictions) set that would prevent syncing/loading those songs?
