Iphone repair in another country

I bought my iphone5s 4 months  before I left Australia to work in China, I won't be back until June 2015. Now my phone is dead due to the malfunction screen. What would be for the warranty, can I get a replacement in China? or I have to wait for another year to come back to Sydney to get a replacement?

The warranty on an iPhone cannot be transferred to another country, it is only valid in the country of sale.  There are only the options of buying a new iPhone in China or sending the non-working iPhone to someone in Australia who can take it to an Apple store genius bar and have it service or replaced.

  • I bought my Iphone 5c on another country, is there anyway i can change the OS from china to english or something?, I bought my Iphone 5c on another country, is there anyway i can change the OS from china to english or something?

My mom and my dad bought my Iphone 5c on another country (china). Is there anyway i can change the OS to the "official" or to the english one?

Contacts are designed to be synced to a supported application on the computer or a cloud service.
Pictures taken with the device are designed to regularly be copied off the device to a computer as would be done with any digital camera.
If you have failed to use the device as designed it may be too late to recovery anything.
Is the device regularly backed up to a computer via iTunes?  If so, the most recent backup (when restored to a replacement iOS device) should contain all contacts and pictures as of when the backup was created.

  • Iphone bought in another country

    Hae!
Is it possible to buy an iphone 4s in the states and take it back to europe for use?

Remember that the warranty on iPhones is not international. Should
problems develop that require repair/replacement, you will have to ship
iPhone back to friend/relative in US for them to get to Apple for repair
and friend/relative will have to ship back to you. All related shipping
and insurance costs are your responsibility. Apple US will not accept
shipments from other countries not will Apple US ship repaired/replaced
iPhones back to an address outside the US.
You are better off buying from Apple in your country or from an authorized
    provider.

  • Replacing an iphone bought in another country

    HI,
I have bought my iphone in singapore, while I live in India. The service centre here says that only the country that the phone has been bought in can service it.
The phone is in warranty. How do I activate this service? Tried to contact a premium re-seller suggested by apple support, but they refuse to accept a mail in warranty. My phone's battery is giving major trouble and the only way it can stay on is with an external jacket charger.
    Please help.
    Thanks

You will have to take it back to Singapore.  The iPhone warranty has never been international - it has always been specific to the country the phone was originally sold in.

  • IPhone stolen in another country

Ok so my iPhone got stolen in a country I dont live in. Immediately after the theft happened I went to a computer and did all the process of find my iphone, remote lock and wipe, report to police and contact my local carrier for line and IMEI lock. The thing is that since I was just visiting this other country my phone wasnt with an active service, meaning I just managed using the WiFi at the hotel and other places.
if I understand correctly, the remote lock, wipe and all that works only if the iPhone is connected to a network, which unfortunately wasnt my case.
Do you guys think that someone could still find a way to use my iPhone (considering that icloud never notified me that the iPhone connected to a network and the wiping actually happened)?

Change all your passwords of all accounts on the phone, if you have not done so already. The phone will wipe/lock when next connected to a Wifi network, because you have already invalidated the SIM by contacting your carrier (?). In any case if you did not have a passcode lock or an easy one (e.g. 1234) the thief could very well use your phone.
If the thief tries to restore the phone, or upgrade it he will encounter activation lock which will render the phone useless without the Apple ID and password.

  • Can I use my Iphone 3Gs in another country?

    Hi,
I'm got an Iphone 3GS awhile back and I'm planning to visit my home country (Philippines) for a month or so for an extended wedding/birthday of my sister.
I heard that Apple is connected with Globe Telecoms back in the Philippines. So I was wondering if I could use a Globe simcard for my Iphone while I'm at the country? It's currently locked to ATT. Do I need to go to Globe Telecoms there to be able to use a Globe simcard?
Any info/help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!

The iPhone is carrier locked to AT&T. A locked phone means no other SIM can work in it.
Now the phone can work out there, however, you have to call AT&T and temporarily add the option about being out of country (forget what they call it). It will cost a tab more to make calls and use data but it is far cheaper than paying roaming charges if you don't add it.
You are not going to find a way to use the iPhone with any other carrier's SIM (legally).

  • Repair in another country/refund?

    Hi,
I bought my Macbook in June from the Apple online store, to be delivered to me here in the UK. Since then, I've discovered that it has a discoloured wrist rest AND suffers from the random shutdown syndrome.
I handed it in for repair at my local service centre, where it's been for over a month, because they can't get the parts (the logic board, apparently) from Apple.
The twist in my tale is that in just over a week I'm flying out to Canada for three months. I want my Macbook with me, and working. The service centre are happy to give me laptop back to me (with new wrist rest, no new logic board), so I'll be able to take it with me, but I need it repaired in Vancouver/Victoria.
Can I expect any problems getting my Macbook repaired in a different country? In any case, what is Apple's refund policy (I'm clearly outside the initial 14 days)? This is the first Mac system I've bought and I'm really not impressed- my laptop has nearly been in for repair longer than I've had it with me, which is a joke. I've never had problems of this scale with any other manufacturer, and if I can get a refund, will be very tempted to go straight back to them.
Macbook 2GHz   Mac OS X (10.4.7)   Boot camped with XP Media Center

I was just going to write my own post on my experience with this, but then I saw yours.
Like you, I have an early model macbook with palmrest discoloration and, just since the last few days, RSD. I am American, so is my macbook, but I'm in Bratislava, Slovakia, with no idea when I'll be back in the States, and so the development of RSD in particular terrified me. Yesterday, I wrote an e-mail to McShark, the Apple Center in nearby Vienna, inquiring about possible repair for my macbook. I wrote because I don't speak German, and I pointed out that I would need both repairs, and that my keyboard was an American one and the case would have to match that. I told them that I really couldn't be without my macbook for long, and wondered if, should they be willing to order parts and do the repair, I could keep the macbook in my possession until the parts were in the store.
Today, I received the most helpful, friendly letter back, saying that it would be no problem for them to order the parts, including the American keyboard and case, that they would inform me when the parts came in, and that they would repair in in just a few hours!
I can hardly BELIEVE this! In 8 years of owning Sony VAIOs, I never got CLOSE to this level of service. In June, I was happy I bought Apple because this macbook is by far the best laptop I've ever had. And now, I'm happy again because this service is also the best possible -- and in a foreign country, far from home, where I don't speak the language - Excellent!
If I were you, I wouldn't worry about taking a macbook that needs repairs to Canada (though I've heard that from Vancouver they will send it to Toronto for the repair). It seems to me that Apple really does stand by their product and will do their best to keep you happy.

  • Purchasing iPhone/iPad in another country

I am currently in India, although I live in the UK.
If I were to purchase an iPhone/iPod in India, will it have the same functionality of one purchased in the UK, when I am back in the UK?
i.e. if a function works in the UK and not India, if I bought an iPhone in India, would that function work when I'm back in the UK, using a UK network etc?
I don't want to purchase a product that I can't fully use once I'm back in the UK.
    Thanks

Assuming that you have an UNLOCKED iDevice, you will have GSM functionality.  The LTE functionality will depend upon the exact bands that are available in your device, and the country in which you use the device.  You should check the Apple online stores for the two countried, and compare product specifications.  Too, the warranty of an iDevice is only effective in the country in which the iDevice was purchased.

  • How to repair in another country?

    Hello!
I live in Russian Federation. One year ago (Jan 5, 2012) I've purchased a Nokia Lumia 800 on Ebay from a UK seller. A month ago the phone has refused to charge and (consequently) to power on. I brought it to a local official certified Nokia repair centre for diagnostics and repair. Since the phone originates from UK and European Warranty does not cover it I agreed to pay for the repair. After diagnostics I was told that "a power unit has some failures and should be replaced", but.... they don't have such unit. And will not have it in the future. And even in the head office in Moscow this unit is absent. If I bought this phone in Russia they would replace it for a good one. But since it is not covered by Russian warranty they (official certified Nokia center) can't provide me any help.
Now I've got a brick named Nokia Lumia 800 and a question: am I eligible to use European Warranty and repair it in UK official Nokia center? I'm even ready to pay for a shipping to and back from UK.
    Thank you!
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Could you be more specific how to contact Nokia Care? At the link you provided I see 7 options: Facebook, Twiter, Discussions (I'm here now ), Phone us, Visit us, E-mail us, Live Chat. I don't beleve in Facebook and Twitter, I can't visit Nokia Care in UK personally (I'm more than 5000 km far from UK ), and it's quite expensive for me to call to UK. The most logical thing is E-mail us, but it says that E-mail us is only for complains and for other questions I should visit Discussions (I'm here now ) or Troubleshooting. Troubleshooting is good, but I need to provide a phone number in the request form and I suppose it should be a UK-phone-number (it does not accept my Russian phone number) which I don't have. Last chance is Live chat. Unfortunately it's closed for holidays yet.
So what could you suggest me to do?
    Thanks!

    As I asked.

If it is truly unlocked, then yes, you can use it in any country where you can find a carrier that offers compatible GSM service and plans.

I mean, is it unlock phone? It can use any mobile company (three, EE, Vodafone....)  and any country USIM?
Is it would warranty?  Can I repair in any country? if I buy iPhone6 or 6+ at an Apple Store.
I don't want a contract so I will buy an iPhone6 at AppleStore in Bright.

  • Is it possible to buy an iphone 5 in the states and take it back to another country for use?

Is it possible to buy an iphone 5 in the states and take it back to another country for use?

Apple has not yet announced the availability of unlocked iPhones in
the US, but they are for sale in Canada, parts of Europe, and elsewhere.
Warranty is not international. Service and repair/replacement only in
country of original purchase. LTE/4G may or may not work in other
country depending on bands and frequencies used.

MY IPHONE IS NOT A SIM FREE HOW CAN I USE IT IN ANOTHER COUNTRY?

Apple can do nothing. As Tim said, only the carrier to whom the iPhone is locked can authorize unlocking. You must contact that carrier.
