Iphone requires Apple ID password every time I turn it on

Hi,
I have a brand new iPhone 6 that I set up as a "restore from backup" from an old phone.  Every time I turn the phone on, it asks for my Apple ID password.  The username (email address) is correct and pre-populated, and it accepts my password.  But it does it every time.
I have tried logging in and out of iCloud.  I have turned off and on iCloud, Find My iPhone, Keychain, Facetime, iMessage etc.  I have backed up the phone and restored it from backup.  I have reset my network settings.  I have checked for incomplete downloads of apps, music and videos.  I have been through chat with Apple Support a few times and had a support call from them, where they suggested the actions above.  I just can't seem to fix it.  Does anyone have any ideas?
Thanks in anticipation.

Mine too! I read in our local paper that someone was having the same issue and got tired of hitting cancel and entered their password. They then received their bill for over $1000 on their account for charges to their itunes account. I am still trying to find out what to do myself about this.

You're right, it's because you're a course creator or contributor.
You can just cancel this dialog box but you can't avoid it.

  • I have to re-enter my Apple ID Password every time I open iBooks

I am prompted to re-enter my Apple ID Password evertime I open iBooks on my iPad and iPhone.  I tried signing out and in again to iTunes but it dd not help.  This only started with upgrade to iOS 7.

It could be something that needs to be fixed by Apple since there are other reports. I don't use that feature on my 5s so I can't comment. I wouldn't think you have to enter your password over and over. And since there doesn't seem to be any documentation from Apple other than below from this URL, who knows.
Your fingerprint can also approve purchases from iTunes Store, the App Store, and the iBooks Store, so you don’t have to enter your password.
Also, see here which also mentions the issue and that Apple recognizes it as an issue to be fixed.

  • Why do I have to enter my Apple ID password every time on the iOS app?

Every time I open the iTunesU app on my iPad I need to authenticate. I'm guessing it is due to being a course creator but is this really necessary?

  • B110 printer - do I have to re-enter the wireless password every time I turn it off?

Hi, I've just bought an HP B110 wireless printer, and set it up wirelessly on my Airport network no problem, but when I turn it off (by the power button on it) and on again it starts up as though it's brand new, loading, then asking for my wireless password (which isn't the quickest thing to type in!) and then telling me to install the software on my computer.  Is there a way I can make it save the login (like any other gadget you can buy does!) because I don't like leaving things running constantly when I'm not going to use it!?

I also just set up an HP B110a. I have the same problem. I cannot believe it. It seems that every time you switch the printer on you have to enter you wireless network password and then you get instructed to put the printer CD in the computer and reinstall the printer driver. Of course you don't ACTUALLY have to reinstall the drivers every time, but you DO, it seems, have to fiddle around with the simulated keyboard pressing buttons dozens of times to enter even a relatively simple password.
Thus it appears in effect you HAVE TO leave your printer permanently switched on, which of course we do not want to do. Please tell me it's not true. Is there a trick we're missing?

  • How can I stop my iphone asking for my icloud password every time I turn it on?

I really don't want to have to put in both by iphone pin and my icloud password everytime I do the smallest thing on my iphone.

It looks like you're trying to play a track bought from the iTunes store (or does it happen with other songs too?). Make sure you are logged in with the account the track was bought with.

  • Is there any way to avoid typing in my apple id password every time when downloading apps?

It seems to me that when my iphone 4S downloaded IOS6 I didn't have to type in my password everytime I downloaded an app.  Now I am back to typing in the password on my iphone5.

Unless you are downloading new apps, there shouldn't be a need to key in your password.
iOS 6 enables app updates without keying in a password.

I just up graded to 10.8 and am having to sign in with my password every time I turn my Mac on. Is there a way to prevent this? I am the only one who has access to my computer so do not need that.

Ensure that automatic login isn't disabled from either the Security or Users & Groups pane of System Preferences.

    Hello, try this...
Make a New Location, Using network locations in Mac OS X ...
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2712
    10.5.x/10.6.x/10.7.x instructions...
System Preferences>Network, top of window>Locations>Edit Locations, little plus icon, give it a name.
System Preferences>Network, click on the little gear at the bottom next to the + & - icons, (unlock lock first if locked), choose Set Service Order.
The interface that connects to the Internet should be dragged to the top of the list.
Instead of joining your Network from the list, click the WiFi icon at the top, and click join other network. Fill in everything as needed.

Help! I have to keep entering my wifi WEP password every time I slide my iphone 4S on  again.  It doesn't store the password as it should.

The use of WEP is not recommended for compatibility, reliability, performance, and security reasons; WEP is insecure and functionally obsolete. Any reason you're using WEP? I ask, because you might as well not have any security at all, & this is most likely your issue.

You are still under warranty.  Call Apple Care. Make sure you get a case number as all repairs have an additional 90 days of warranty.
#1 - You have 14 days from the date of purchase to return your computer with no questions asked.
#2 - You have 90 days of FREE phone tech support.
#3 - You have the standard one year Apple warranty.
#4 - If you've purchased an AppleCare Protection Plan, your warranty last for 3 years.   You can obtain AppleCare anytime up to the first year of the purchase of your computer.
Take FULL advantage of your warranty.  Posting on a message board should be done as a last resort and if you are out of warranty or Apple Care has expired.

  • Every time I turn on the Internet (3G or wifi) theirs an apple notification asking me to type my apple id password.

Every time I turn on the Internet (3G or wifi) theirs an apple notification asking me to type my apple id password. And this hapenes frequently( every time I open an application that requires Internet like safari, app store, iTunes...)

    Try this out
Drag the folder Macintosh_HD/Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration to the trash and then restart the computer.
Once the computer boots up, Click the blue apple and then select System Preferences and then select Network.
From the Show pop-up menu, choose Network port Configuration' (it would default to Network Status), then drag Airport in the table below to the top position
After that, from the Show pop-up menu, choose AirPort.'. Locate the pop-up menu next to "By default, join:" and choose 'A specific network'. Select your network and then a password (if required) and then click on the 'Apply now' button.
If you are still not connnected to the internet select your network from the airport icon on the right side of the menu bar
Reboot the machine to test whether this procedure fixed the issue

  • I have set up a Netgear dual band modem which works well with the iPhone and an older MacBook, but with this brand new MacBook it asks for a password every time I reopen the computer and open safari. Is it Lion?

I have set up a Netgear dual band modem which works well with the iPhone and an older MacBook, but with this brand new MacBook it asks for a password every time I reopen the computer and open safari. As you can imagine this is very annoying. It says I am not connected to the internet and offers me a choice of nearby networks including mine and then asks for a password when I select it. Why does it do this with our new MacBooks (also with my son's brand new one) and not with the iPhone, iPad and older MacBook? They happily automatically connect to our network after entering the password just the once.

Sig, I appreciate you trying to be helpful. I have no idea what issues you were having or what issue exactly pgrounds has been having. Your assumption that everyone's set up is the same as yours is false however. There are many many documented WiFi issues that are a result of Lion installs. Many have been solved by 10.7.1 and 10.7.2. Others have been solved by a large variety of work arounds. Others have not had their issues solved yet.
I am one of those. I have an IT background, and I spent the better of five hours digging up workarounds and attempting all of them. For the benefit oh anyone who is having similar issues, I have posted links to all of those workarounds here. None of them worked in my case, but hopefully they will help pgrounds or others.
So, once again, if you have a new idea, I'd love to here it. But if it has already been posted in one of these links, it's not helpful, let it go.
