IPhone resets back to wallpaper randomly when I touch it.

the iPhone resets when to the wallpaper slider screen when i touch it at times. also, if i have the phone open and i try to raise or lower the volume, it resets as well.

I've had the latest software since it was released a few weeks back, but it only started yesterday. I did load a new app and it started after that, but i've deleted the app and reloaded my software to no avail.

The screen on my Mac Book Pro goes out randomly when I touch my trackpad.  Every time the screen shuts off, I have to restart my computer so the screen will turn on again and it's driving me nuts.
Does anyone have any idea why this is happening and a solution?
    Thanks

You can blank the monitor using those keys, that's likely what you did, it's a feature.

  • On my iPhone 5, upon receiving a picture, when I touch the arrow to open it I just get a blank loading screen that never loads the pic! Didn't have this issue on my iPhone 4 running OS 6.

  • Why is my iPhone 5 pausing my music randomly when i move my iPhone in hand?

I have had my iPhone 5 since right before Christmas of 2013. No problems at all, until now. There recently was a new update for iOS 7.1.1 and I did update it. I had pre-order a song a few days before I updated it and when it was avaliable i downloaded it onto the newest update. When I tried to listen to the song with my head phones it paused randomly. Not only did it pause, it fast forwarded but itself and shuffled the order of my songs as well. Also Siri popped out without me pressing my home button. I have turned Siri off and it still paused and fast forwarded, but no Siri. (obviously) I even turned off the shake to shuffle in music in the setting app. It still paused, shuffled, and fast forwarded. It even did this with my iTunes radio. How do I get this to stop and  just play my songs?

I feel dumb....I changed out my headphones and my phone isn't acting possessed anymore.  My headphone were pretty sad so I think there was a short.  Since it also had a microphone it was picking up sound thinking I was talking.  It also had a volume control and ability to skip songs and I think that is why it was fast forwarding.

  • Nothing will turn my iphone 4s back on, it randomly turned itself off and nothing will come up on my screen. Not even the apple logo. Tried plugging it in and no response.

I have only had my iphone 4s for maybe two weeks and randomly i didnt use it for maybe an hour and it was like it was off i tried to turn it on and no response. I tried to reset it by holding the home and power button no response. I plugged it in the computer no response. Not even the apple logo. I have tried everything and i have no  idea what is wrong or what to fix it.

Hi Danielle_Longwood,  Let's make sure your iPhone sees the light of day once again!  You did state that you held the Power and Home keys but were they held long enough as per Dark_Waters instruction?  Has there been any physical or liquid damage to the device?  Was the device originally purchased new from Verizon Wireless?  I am eager to work with you further and find a solution!

  • Resetting back to In Development

    Hello,
We have an action called "Reset back to 'In Development'", this action is based on action "TESTED_AND_NOT_OK_MI" from action profile "SDMI_ACTIONS". In that action, we use the standard PPF method HF_SET_STATUS and kept the assigned parameter RESET_STATUS = 'X'. At the time doing this configuration a few years ago, we did not require the authorization key for status "Being Developed" assigned to the tester role, this meant that the tester can reset back to "Being Developed" when a test failed by using that action.
However, after upgrading to support pack 23, we have noticed that this is no longer the case. Our question is whether the functionality changed or if this is a defect.
    Thanks in advance!
    Ryan

The key is embedded in BIOS and is retrieved automatically.
Did you create your Recovery Media? If so I would boot from them. Some-not all- people have reported problems with using the builtin Recovery option after updating to 8.1.
Creating Recovery Media in Windows 8
For recovery using the builtin option-See the section here on "Recovery when Windows 8 does not open correctly". I know it does open correctly but this is the safest way to launch a Recovery.

  • My iphone 3GS keeps jumping. When I touch th screen, it jumps not letting me press.

My iPhone is jumpy. It jumps when I touch the screen & I can't get it to move where I want it too.

Sounds like your iPhones software may be corrupt. Try placing the iPhone into recovery mode. To do this, follow the steps in this article:

    Hope this helps

Also before this the phone wasnt picking up any signal so it worked basically as an ipod.
How much would it cost to repair this problem?

    Hello ozzy9294,
Thanks for using Apple Support Communities.
For more information on this, take a look at:
    iPhone: Hardware troubleshooting
    http://support.apple.com/kb/TS2802
Display has no backlight or dark screen
Toggle the ringer switch to see if the unit vibrates. If it does, it could be that iPhone is getting power, but is not displaying any image.
Try turning iPhone off and then on again.
While connected to the iPhone charger, try to reset the iPhone.
If the low-battery screen appears, charge the iPhone.
    Best of luck,
    Mario

Randomly when I plug my Iphone 4s into Itunes it will tell me that it can't detect my phone and that I need to restore it. It doesn't happen every time, but maybe every two weeks.I restore it and then it works for a while, but then a couple weeks later I'll plug it in and I get the same message again. It's very frustrating because even though I have all the settings to save to cloud, my apps and data don't all come back.

Thank you both. I suppose I should have prefaced my question with the concern that I've read a number of other posts from people who have had a similar issue and when they tried to follow the directions, they ran into a multitude of other problems. As you might imagine, I'm hoping to avoid the creation of new problems as I try to solve this one. Thanks again.

If the battery was empty (and it may then take 10 to 15 minutes of charging before it will respond), then have you tried a reset ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds, after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the equivalent of a reboot.
