IPhone ringtone sound breaking up.

I just purhcased some ringtones and the sound seems to be breaking up. I believe its the bass on the song thats causing it. Do you guys have the same problem? I tried to go to the ringtone file and set an Equalizer preset but that option isnt available. Apple needs to do something with the speaker that cant handle bass at all!

The problem with that is though when I am listening the music through iPod mode, I will have to change it again which could become annoying.

Your notebook is an Enterprise/Business model. I would recommend posting this in the HP Enterprise Support Forums for better coverage.
You can access the enterprise support forums at the following link.

However, my own personal opinion is there might be an issue with the headset, not the hardware/software on the notebook. You mentioned even changing the bluetooth hardware and the issue remained, which leads me to believe it might have to do with the headset and Windows 7. Have you tried another headset on this notebook to see if the issue was the same?

  • Downloaded new Ringtone and cant seem to find it on iphone under sounds

Downloaded, thought it would go directly into category with other types of ring sounds, cant seem to find it. Help

When you are purchasing a ringtone. You first can purchase the song and then (second purchase) purchase the ringtone. Many ways to do it. From computer or iPhone.
On iPhone it will automatically show in settings>sounds>ringtone at the top under purchased or custom depending upon how you purchase it.
From iPhone: iTunes (purple icon)>ringtones> select ringtone and tap purchase. Now notice what happens when you do. You may see the More at the bottom light up with a 1 and red circle as it downloads. Tap more and then tap downloads and you will see it downloading. You have to be fast and observant to catch this. The reason I bring this up is that if you have a pending download already that has been "stuck" in download queue then ringtone will not download and you need to troubleshoot that first.
From Computer: You must purchase and song first. Then if you click on Store>Create Ringtone iTunes will let you know if it is "available" as a ringtone. Some songs are not. If it is then you must purchase it as a ringtone.

  • My iphone plays sound but will not play ringtones and alerts

My iphone plays sound but not ringtones or alerts. It will not even 'click', but the speaker phone and both internal and external audio work fine. How do i fix this?

On my iphone 5, there is a mute button/ lever on the left hand side of the phone that you might want to check. ("Left" when phone is oriented such that you are looking at the screen, such that the power button is "up" on the right hand side and the menu/ Siri button is facing front).
The mute button/ lever is the first button on the upper left hand side of the phone; you may need to move your phone's protector to see & access it.  You'll know the mute button has been activated when a red line is visible. It becomes visible when the mute button/lever is pushed down, (towards the back of the phone).  Flip the button/ level forward, so that it is pointing towards the top of your screen, and your ringers and alerts will once again ring.
I discovered that when this button/ lever was activated and my ringers & alerts were muted, my alarm clock ringer was still audible, which I think is a pretty nifty fail-safe on this feature.  You can see the original Q&A suggestion by clicking link below.

  • Iphone 4 sound is not working in apps

My iphone 4 sound is only working in my music app and my videos and my ringtone but not on any apps such as snapchat, facebook, youtube, instagram, and more. what should i do?

Standard user troubleshooting as outlined in the manual are restart, reset, restore, restore as new. Start with a simple power off, and back on. Any change?

  • HT3887 Hi I have just got some new wWas iireless head phones and when I use them with the Bluetooth on my iPhone 4S it breaks up all the time even from short distance but when using my girlfriends iPhone 5 or iPad it's fine no problems atall!!! Any ideas

Hi I have just got some wireless head phones and while using Bluetooth with my iPhone 4S the sound breaks up all the time but if I use a friends iPhone 5 or my iPad it's fine no problems atall! Any ideas what the problem could be people??????

Unpair the headset from the phone with the problem. Restart the phone (hold HOME and SLEEP until an Apple logo appears), the pair the headset again. Also, look for things nearby that may be causing interference in the Bluetooth band. Cordless phones are a common cause of interference.

  • [iphone ringtone] converting .wav file to .m4r file

    Hi,
I want to convert .wav file to .m4r (iphone ringtone) format.
I want to do it programatically. Can you tell me which header i should attach to .wav file, so that it will get converted to .m4r format?
    Thanks,
    Ganesh Pisal

I am refering Speak here sample code to solve this problem.
Can i directly record sound to m4a file format?
    I am using file type = kAudioFileM4AType
    and recording format = kAudioFormatMPEG4AAC
    Still not getting any success.

  • Why does the ringtone sound worse AFTER I download it?

    Hi guys,
I'm having an odd issue. I just bought three ringtones direct on my iPhone 4S from the iTunes 'Tones' section, and when I set them as ringtones and preview them on the phone they sound really crappy. When I previewed them in the 'Tones' section and streamed them the sound was full and clear. Any ideas?
    Much appreciated,
    Sacha

I have exactly the same problem, the best way of describing the problem is that the ringtones sound very tinny, possibly distorted like they've completely lost the bass and much of the lower midrange.
Like Sacha I've purchased 2 ring tones from the iTunes store within my iPhone 4S (Nicki Minay - Super Bass, and The City of Prague Philharmonic Orchestra - Star Trek the Motion Picture), within the store they sound great but as soon as their assigned to ring tones they sound awful.  At first I assumed that the downloads must have been poorly compressed or something but I've since confirmed they play great on my PC.
I've also noticed something even more odd, if I use the ringtone as a text message tone on the iPhone one of them sounds great as it should but the other ones won't even play, very strange!  I've had a look at the tones on my PC and both are 30 seconds long, and both are compressed to 256kbps at 44.1khz so no obvious differences.  I've recompressed them to alternative bit rates but nothing seems to make a difference to the sound quality as a ring tone.
I've since tried both ringtones on my Wifes iPhone 4 and her's exhibits the same problems so not a handset or iPhone 4s specific issue.  It sounds to me like a software bug in iOS5?

  • Ringtone sounds not working correctly

I don't know what happened to the ringtone sounds on my iPhone 3gs. I'm wondering if there's something wrong in the settings.

What does "not working correctly" mean?
    Is the silent switch on?

  • IPhone 4S sound won't work, option disappeared?

I've had my iPhone for a few months now and had no problems with it. About a week ago the sound began to randomly turn on at off for no reason. When I use the buttons at the side it just comes up as "ringer" but the actual volume bar isn't there. My music and videos won't play and I have no sound when I receive messages and calls. Its not on silent and it's the hold button isn't on. The only way I can get sound to work is to go into settings for ringtones and that's the only time I can get any sound from it. In Settings the same won't work for message alerts or anything else, only ringtone sound for some reason. Is there anything I can do to fix this?

    Hi There,
    Yep - that sounds odd...
Unless you are playing music, or watching video, then you won't be able to chnage the volume for anything but the ringer using the buttons - but the fact that you can't hear it? Hmmmm....
It's probably best to take it into a Genius!
    Regards,
    George
P.S. In the meantime, you can double tap the home button and swipe to the left twice to get to a volume changer temporarily, although this will only cahnge it for music and videos.

  • The specific ringtone I assigned to a contact is not working. Only the default ringtone sounds off.

I'm using an iPhone 5s. The app I'm using on my iPhone is simply titled Ringtones with an orange music note inside a grey circle. I have assigned certain app created ringtones to specific contacts. However when one of those contacts calls me ONLY the main / general / default ringtone sounds off. I know the tones work because if they are assigned as the default ringtone that specific tone plays. I have tried other ringtones that were included on the iPhone (NOT app created) and those work when assigned to contacts. So it seems it's only the app created ringtones are not working when assigned to specific contacts. So far I've tried to correct the problem by:
    1) Removing ringtones from phone and then downloading them again.
    2) I've tried rebooting or performing a soft reset (pressing and holding the home button & power button until the apple logo appears).
    Anyone have any other suggestions?

  • Iphone 4 sound not working

The sound on my iphone 4 stopped working. It does not ring when I get a call and no alerts when I get text messages.
I checked my sound settings and it is set to receive all sounds and alerts. Why would this stop working? Anyone have this problem.
    Thanks.

If you have tried the usual (reset/restart/restore...tried the restore without using a backup to restore from if doing it from a backup did not help) then you should still be under warranty for at minimum another month (if you got your iPhone 4 when it first came to VZW in February 2011). Contact VZW or Apple for assistance. If the problem is due to a defect not caused by something that would void the warranty then it will be replaced under warranty. If you have insurance from VZW that covers accidental damages not covered under warranty then you can use that option if the issue is declared to be due to non-warranty covered problems. When you say your sounds aren't working at all I assume you mean you not only can't hear the email/text alerst, but you also aren't able to hear when a call comes in ringtone sound not playing). Is that the case?

Thanks a lot for help me!!!!

I have a nearly identical problem with my Ipad 3. Mine is the left channel. I've yet to find help, but have found a number of other posts on this and other forums discussing the issue. People have tried restore, reset etc. Also, cleaning the ports with compressed air or cotton swabs. It appears to be a software issue, but no one is sure.
Along with the original poster, I'd appreciate any help.
As far as the 'level 6' poster, if you're going to be rude, please don't bother. Hope it was just a bad day.
