IPhone's alarm didn't go off

Hello, this is not the first time, but my alarm didn't go off today morning... I always have two of them, two minutes apart, those aren't working (maybe once or twice)... but my late night alarm is always working. So what is the problem? Got iPhone 4 with 5.1.1.

Do you have the volume turned up?
If it's only those specific alarms that aren't working, try deleting them and creating a new one.

I Have the same issue on a brand new iPad mini 2. My battery is only lasting up to 5 hours. I went on chat with Apple last night and they said my battery is fine and its a Safari issue. I'm literally losing 1% every 3-4 minutes. I tried recalibrating my battery, signing out of iCloud, shutting off all locations, turning off background app refresh, restoring network settings, restoring all, and finally restoring from iTunes with no luck. This is just awful. I got this iPad so I could use it on my long flight for a trip I have coming up, and unfortunately, it's not going to last that long, plus I'm concerned about how many times i will be recharging my battery because of this since battery's do have a life cycle dependent on the number of charges. This is frustrating and needs to be fixed ASAP and addressed by Apple.
By the way, Apple told me to bring my device to the Apple Store because it's still under warranty. That's great and all, but I'm going to waste my time if there is no fix for this issue.
Ok so you want Apple to address the problem, but yet you don't want to take it to them just in case they can't fix it? What if they can fix it? Complaining here certainly won't fix it.

  • Reoccurring alarms didn't go off this morning -- repeat set to past date

    Hi,
I want to use my iCal to open iTunes as my alarm. Yesterday, I woke up slightly before, moved the mouse which turned off the screen saver, and later the alarm went off at the correct time. This morning it didn't go off which makes me think it's the Sleep function, or entering Screen Saver that's turning off the alarm.
I double checked that on the advanced menu the proper boxes were deselected.
Then I opened up the event and even though it says REPEAT it lists a day IN THE PAST, not the current day. So, it's says,
    open file
    (the song I selected)
    on date
    01/05/2009
I checked future events and they all say the same thing. Assuming this is the problem, how do I fix it?

Have you tried resetting your device by pressing and holding the Home button and power button until the silver apple appears?

  • IPod touch 5th gen alarm didn't go off this morning, glitch?!

Why didn't my iPod touch 5th gen alarm go off this morning??? Volume was up, alarm was on, but it didn't go off!! I missed going on a bike ride with my friend now so I'm annoyed, I'm on newest ios7 but anyone know how I can stop this glitch, or a solution?

You can try the standard fixes but I have not heard of any real problem with alarms in this forum. I would also try testing the alarm a few times.
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Unsync/delete all music and resync
To delete all music go to Settings>General>Usage>Storage>Music>Tap edit in upper right and then tap the minus sign by All Music
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup. See:
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.

  • Why can't I sync music to my iPhone that I didn't buy off of iTunes?

I've been having this problem since the release of iOS 7. iTunes will not let me sync songs to my iPhone 4s that I had bought from other sites, or have the CD to. It only syncs (through USB) the songs that I had previously bought off of iTunes. to me, this seems like a scam to get more money out of me, because I read up on iTunes Match, which I'd have to subscribe to, and it says in the description that it allows you to sync songs bought from other places. I'm considering selling my phone, and my iPod touch, for androids or windows phones because of this nonsense. If I have the songs in my possession, I should be able to put them on any device I want, without paying for a subscription to the service.

I have no idea what you're doing then.
I believe I have two songs from the iTunes store, both free. Everything else is either from my own CDs or is digital music from other sources, including retailers such as Amazon. I have no problem getting that music onto my iPod. Nor do I use iTunes Match.

I'm not sure what you mean by "through USB".
    The process is:
Import the music from CD into your iTunes Library.
Add digital music (from non-Apple sources) to your Library
    Sync iPod/iPhone with iTunes.
    Job done
So what are you doing? Can we assume that you have the music in your iTunes Library? If so, what do you do now?

  • Why does the iPhone 4 alarm go off without any sound if sound is turned on.

Every once in a while the alarm ( original iPhone alarm) goes off, but makes no noise.  Why is this and how can I fix it? Being late to work isn't okay even if it's only every once in a while. Yes, I've checked the silent switch, yes I've checked the speaker volume.  No, I didn't turn off the alarm in my sleep because it is still on the screen when I wake up, saying, " ok" or "cancel" I think. That's how I know it's working, just not making sound. I've even set two alarms and I don't hear either one, but they're both on the screen when I wake up, but there's no sound.  It's not even vibrating.

What user troubleshooting have you done? They are restart, reset, restore from a backup, restore as a new device or not from a backup. Restart is power phone off/on, Reset is to use the sleep/wake and home buttons together until you see the Apple logo and then release. One of those should put you back in business.

  • Why 3G cannot work if i didn't power off my iphone 4s?

why my maxis 3G cannot work if i didn't power off my iphone 4s?

    You can use Assistive Touch:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5587
Once Assistive Touch is turned on:
Tap the dark circle to open the Assistive Touch menu, then tap "Device" and tap and hold the Lock Screen icon. This will bring up the iPhone's Power-Off slider.

  • 3g iPhone alarms not working - going off at odd times, despite turning off/on and reset...

Hello, My ancient - i.e. more than one year old - 3g iPhone has been affected - again - by Britain fiddling about with timezones. Having had all the weekly set alarms go off at 3am etc and other annoying times, I removed all 16 alarms, turned the 3G off, turned it on again, looked at the time zone, and reset that, just for fun (London, England) and then input all the alarms again... still going off at the wrong time. Any ideas? Thank you.

Oh apologies, I am currently in the United Arab Emirates and my carrier is Etisalat. I have called them and they gave me the reset network and the airplane mode fixes which i have tried multiple times and have not worked

Add the music from your flash drive to your itunes media libary, then sync your phone to itunes.

  • Iphone didn't switch off properly and now won't switch on

iphone didn't switch off properly and now won't switch on

Reset, hold both home and power buttons until the iPhone begins to start. If nothing, connect to wall charger for 10 minutes, it may come on itself. If still nothing, keep on charger and Reset, it may take about 20 seconds of holding both buttons while on charger. If still nothing battery may be completely dead and need replacement or something worse.

  • Will my phone automatically go one hour ahead tonight for the time change? Also, if I set my alarm will it go off at the time it's supposed to, or an hour later?

I live in ny and was wondering if tonight with the time change, will my iPhone automatically change the time? Also, if my alarm is set to go off in the morning, will it go off an hour later, or at the time that its supposed to?

On your iPhone, go to Settings > General > Date & Time.
If you have Set Automatically selected, the date and time for your iPhone is set automtically based on the tower your iPhone is connected to with your cell phone carrier.
The date and time will be changed automatically on your iPhone based on your carrier changing the date and time at the tower your iPhone is connected with.
If the date and time is changed automatically on your iPhone, the alarm wiil go off at the selected time for the alarm. If you need to ensure you don't miss waking up at the designated time, I would use a backup alarm that is not based on the date and time being changed by your cell phone carrier.

  • My alarms aren't going off

    AT ALL.
Today was the third time it's happened. And I checked those alarms before I went to bed. They were ON, they were SET for the right times, and they were SET to play the right playlists.
But they didn't go off, and I ended up an hour late for work!
I set three alarms: 7.00am, 7.30am, and 7.45am. I need to set three alarms because I am an extremely deep sleeper, and after I turn off an alarm, I sometimes just nod off again. My iPod, connected to a Bose SoundDock, is the only thing in my home short of my home theater system capable of waking me up through sheer volume.
I have a 30GB black iPod Video, BTW.

Does the bose dock turns on by itself when the ipod turns on?
Or do you have to manually turn on the bose speakers for it to work?
If it automatically turns on the bose speakers when the ipod is turned on, then i have the solution. I have the logitech mm50, which turns on when I turn on the ipod.
All you have to do is make an extra clock in your ipod... go to extra > clock > new clock...
so the trick is this, for every time you want it to turn on, make 2 clocks... set the 1st alarm 1 minute earlier... example... you want to wake up at 7.00... make the 1st alarm to go off 6.59, and the second alarm 7.00... so the first alarm will turn on the speakers and the second alarm will turn on the music...
So if you want to set the alarm to 3 different time, then you need to make 6 clocks...
    Hope this help

absolutely that is frustrating. if the battery life is fine there could be two things software or hardware. to find out if your back up your information in itunes and import pictures and then restore the phone as NEW then you can test it out. if it is still shutting off it is hardware related

I just installed the Lion operating system, basically to upgrade my iPhone. I didn't realize that my Microsoft Office 2004 application would no longer work. I have been using Word for my writing and I receive most of my emails with Word attachments. I have been using Apple products for years, always touting their reliability and customer service. I am not a techie, I just want to be able to do what I do on the computer and Apple always fulfilled my needs. Now I am told because of some operating system gobbledygook, I have to go out and purchase new software to use Word. This is despicable. I see no particular benefit to using Lion, but I do see a lot of detriments. Apple now seems to have turned into Microsoft, making software obsolete so they can make more money and to **** with the customer. You can be sure that my next computer will be a PC. I have completely lost confidence in Apple.

I seem to never tire of saying this. It was for Apple when they first announced 10.7 to disclose this. Yes, it was widely reported -- or rather, rumored -- but not by Apple. And many people who have gotten caught by this assumed that Apple itself would have told them beforehand about the loss of this very important feature which they had come to rely on. As far as I know, not even in fine print, does this appear anywhere on the Lion announcement or any of its links.
I am not saying Apple had to continue Rosetta in Lion, or forever, just that if it was going to be dropped, it should have been made known.
As relative "insiders" we should not forget that many people don't have the time, habit or interest to do this kind of research. I think it is a breach of trust that Apple has never directly made this announcement or given people the opportunity to decide beforehand if giving up their PPC apps for a new OS is a worthwhile tradeoff.
