Iphone saying that yahoo mail user name or password is incorrect but it's ok

can somebody please advise. I have checked the mail account from a desktop and it's ok. i also tried deleting the accont on the phone and then re creating and still it is not sending mail but i am receiving mail?

what is more, i have sent an email successfully from another yahoo email on the phone and that worked but not the primary account in question?

Hi Allan, thanks for that. I've already set up a log in for my wife and that is all working fine. The problem is that when she logs in and opens iTunes and trys to associate her library with her iTunes account she gets the error message "This computer is already associated with another iTunes account". Whilst this is true, the computer is associated with my iTunes account under my separate log in, which should have nothing to do with hers. If she transfers the association to her account it will lock me out of my content on my log in for 90 days - I'm trying to work out how to associate each of the log in accounts with a separate iTunes account so we can access our music independently of one another without locking each other out. Hope that makes sense!

Try this:
Reboot device by pressing both the home button and sleep/wake (power) buttons at the same time for 10-15 seconds until the apple logo appears on the screen, then let go.
If that doesn't work then reset the device by going to settings/general/reset/reset all settings (or for network connection issues 'reset network settings').
(no media or data will be deleted from the device, this will only take a minute).

When I reopen Firefox, I have to sign in again (despite checking "stay signed in") and the user name and password are deemed not correct even though they are! There is no problem in Internet Explore. In Firefox, I have cleared the cache and cookies.

I had a similar issue but mine said cannot verify username and password as it was aparently incorrect!
To resolve this i went to generals: App store and clicked on my apple id. when a pop up shows click on view Applie id account. There select the payment process and select NONE in the type of card instead of your visa or mastercard. save it and then you can try getting into facetime., It should be good. It worked for me. I have forwarded these questions about the version of Exchange server that is being used and whether Microsoft host the mai themselves to the IT Dept but I will not get a reply from them until tomorrow.
In the meantime I have also tried:
Deleting and re-creating the account AGAIN!

But please remember that:
The phone would not connect for 2 months after I bought it
Then started working unexpectedly in December
Then stopped working again when IOS 6.1.2. was installed
Also why am I the only person affected by this when colleagues with iPhone 3s and 4s who use the same mail system are not (I am still trying to find one with an iPhone V to see if their's works).
Like I said I think that there must be a fault, either with my own phone or with iPhone Vs in general.

3) Click on Manage your Apple ID
4) Type in your Apple ID and Password and click Sign in
5) Select Addresses from the left hand side
6) Click Edit
7) In country region type United Kingdom
8) Click Save at the bottom of the page
9) Go to your Apple Device Settings - General - International - Region Format - Select United Kingdom
10) Press the Home button
11) Log into Facetime and iMessage with your CORRECT APPLE ID AND PASSWORD

Hmm... looks like this is an issue for that email provider for some reason.
A user in a bt.com forums recommends turning off Push Emails settings.

Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > Fetch New Data > Turn Push Off.
Coudln't hurt to try it and see if the issue resolves itself.
