IPhone screen shattered after only 2 ft drop. Anybody else had this happen?
The glass shattered after being dropped only about 2 feet. Has anyone else had this happen? What did you do?
Sorry, but it won't be covered under warranty. There are several places that will repair it for ~$100. This is one... http://www.drcellphone.com/iphone-repair-service.php. If you take it to Apple, they will charge you much more for another one.
A hard case might prevent this in the future. I use an iFrogz Luxe.

Symptoms
A purplish or other colored flare, haze, or spot is imaged from out-of-scene bright light sources during still image or video capture.
Resolution
Most small cameras, including those in every generation of iPhone, may exhibit some form of flare at the edge of the frame when capturing an image with out-of-scene light sources. This can happen when a light source is positioned at an angle (usually just outside the field of view) so that it causes a reflection off the surfaces inside the camera module and onto the camera sensor. Moving the camera slightly to change the position at which the bright light is entering the lens, or shielding the lens with your hand, should minimize or eliminate the effect.

My mail account from icloud will work if I only disconnect my wifi in my iphone and only use internet plan from my carrier. Anybody else with this problem??
I've been having the same problem since iCloud appeared and complicated an otherwise trouble-free system. Doubling frustrating is that iCloud duplicates my .Mac account so I get two of everything in my Inbox. I turned off iCloud and now mail at least goes out but I can't delete the duplicate account.

I disconnected my IMac (Intel) when I was away when I reconnected it after the powering up tone I had a grey screen followed by 3 loud beeps and the beeps continued. Has anyone had this happen to them? I have tried to reboot in "safe mode" by holding "shift" key down after tone but that did not work. Any other suggestions?

First step would be to remove and reset firmly the RAM modules and give it another try. If that fails, remove the new RAM modules and replace with the original Apple modules that came with the Mac.
The more reliable sources for Mac RAM modules are Crucial.com and otherworldcompution.com. Both are very reliable and will guarantee your satisfaction.
Check to see where your son got the modules. Also check the modules carefully to make sure they match the specifications for your iMac exactly.

You said " digital AV Adapter and thunderbolt". Do you mean Thunderbolt/min displayport to HDMI adapter?
It appears you are using the free version of the Display Menu app.
What does the Apple Display properties show? System Preferences>Displays>Display show?
Look at the projector/go to the manufacturer's support site and find the native resolution of the projector.

I have tried the usual: check to be sure "do not disturb" is not activated (it isn't), checked the ringtone to be sure it did ring (it did). . . this didn't seem to happen right away after the update, for some reason -- it was initially ringing just fine. But suddenly, after a few days, it no longer does, nor do I get the tone that used to indicate when there is a message. Didn't change any settings that might have made this happen. Anyone with an idea of why and how to fix it????
Start with your finger at the bottom of the screen (about even with the home button) and swipe in an upward motion. There should be a row of icons at the top of a grey field. if the quarter-moon icon is bright white, tap it. If it was (and still is) dark, take the iPhone in to be evaluated by a qualified technician.

My iPhone 4s seems to be running slower and crashes after the ios6 upgrade. The power off button does not appear when I try to power it off, the screen just goes blank.
Mine seems to be running faster after the upgarde although i am facing battery drainage. Best you do a hard reset to the phone and this should solve the issue. Apparently if you upgrades via OTA, there were some issues. hope this helps

IPhone 4 bricked after 7.0.6 update, anyone else have this issue?
During the update to 7.0.6 the iPhone 4 failed to apply the update and booted up in restore mode. When restoring the iPhone fails during the hardware firmware write and displays an "unknown error" Error 12. It happens on multiple computers and versions OSX, including the latest version of Mavericks. Apple support walked through after everything I tried failed and proceded to tell me that the the phone is broken and must be sent in for repair at a cost of $149. So, unwilling to take responsibility for an update breaking a phone that was working perfectly before 7.0.6 update, that is how Apple's newest security patch bricked one of my phones. Beware with the install!
I was wondering if this was common with others or not? Have you had a similar issue, let me know?Sometimes a hardware issue becomes apparent after a software update, and sometimes its pure coincidence. Most peoples updates will have gone well, forums show the small minority that dont unfortumnately. My 5s and my wifes 5c both worked fine for instance, even though thats no good for you, i'm just saying its not all phones and there is always a flurry of these incidents after software updates. Contact Apple and via the help line, if you have an extended warrranty as you say your phone is 1.5 years old. If there is an issue they will ask you to send your phone in, and an exchange can be made if you live to far from your nearest Apple shop possibly. If you are out of warranty then you can do an out of warranty replacement. As to it being a software issue, have you done a DFU mode restore? Hope it works out.

Nope, i generally hate iTunes for it being annoying and incredibly "damaging" to the computer (slows my computer down a shitload when booting atleast), so I've avoided it at any costs till now. Shame apple "forces" us to use their more "******" apps in order to "guard" ourselves against stuff like this... I'll survive, the most important pics are on facebook, and the apps and contacts I can easily replace. For my part Apple has one life less when it comes to me buying another product from them.

If your computer is a 2011, you can stop the blue screen by turning off graphic card switching. Under apple, system preferences, energy, uncheck box. Temporary fix. Your logic board may need to be replaced if you are under warranty or have apple care otherwise $1000.00. May be software or firmware problem but apple has provided no info. Replacing logic board has corrected problem for some users and not others. Everything I've mentioned only applies to 2011 MBPs.

Our business buys them back from non-official iPhone repair centers but it seems Apple stores don't have the authority (for good cause) to sell to a company like ours. Regardless, I was wondering what Apple might do with them as I'm sure it's tens of thousands a week if they added up from all of their locations in just the US alone.I always assumed they went to Apple Heaven.

Wifi keeps scanning and dropping even after connected to home network. Never had this issue until the update, and now my phone runs slow and terrible. Horrible update!! Any ideas on a fix?
It's important that you have a steady WiFi connection, ZealousEdge. What phone do you have? Is your phone unable to connect to any WiFi network? If you can, please try deleting the saved WiFi network and re-adding it.

Hi guys. After updating to 7.0.6 my iphone 5s is no longer showing in itunes. Strangley it is recognised by my PC (windows 8) when I click on my computer. I have tried reinstalling itunes and making sure the drivers are up to date, but this has made no difference. Has anyone else had this problem or does anyone have any advice? Thanks

Perhaps the PLUGIN Update feature needs to be engaged to assure that both Java and Shockwave editions are current. It requires 'Help' > 'Firefox Help' > where the lower right side displays a link for Plug-In Update...
