IPhone Screen Shots

Is it possible to incorporate screen shots that can be saved as as a JPG file into the iPhone software in future updates? I would like to make copies of my Stock Watch Lists daily when I'm away from my computer (like vacation), then download to my computer when I get home. Is there a better way? Anyone else interested?

I didn't know this was possible until my 19 month hold daughter got a hold of my phone the other day. She gave it back to me later after calling several people, moving my icons around, and apparently taking a screen shot. (All completely on accident of course). I was looking at my photos later and saw it. Thanks for explaining how that happened.

IPhoto won't export cropped iPad and iPhone screen shots

I started a thread for this thinking it was affecting my whole iPhoto library, when I export a cropped image I get the original. I thought I'd solved it by rebuilding my library, then realized the issue was only manifesting with iPad screen shots. I tested it on iPhone screen shots too, same issue. Photos taken with any camera, even the iPad camera are fine, I can crop and export those. Any iOS screen shot refuses to export a cropped version. I tried all the different choices for "kind" in "export."
Is this a new feature? You have to be sure to crop a screen shot on the iPad or iPhone before you sync to iPhoto?

What format is the external drive the Library sits on?
Rather than trying to move libraries try repair the existing one:
Option 1
Back Up and try rebuild the library: hold down the command and option (or alt) keys while launching iPhoto. Use the resulting dialogue to rebuild. Choose to Repair Database. If that doesn't help, then try again, this time using Rebuild Database.
If that fails:
Option 2
Download iPhoto Library Manager and use its rebuild function. (In early versions of Library Manager it's the File -> Rebuild command. In later versions it's under the Library menu.)
This will create an entirely new library. It will then copy (or try to) your photos and all the associated metadata and versions to this new Library, and arrange it as close as it can to what you had in the damaged Library. It does this based on information it finds in the iPhoto sharing mechanism - but that means that things not shared won't be there, so no slideshows, books or calendars, for instance - but it should get all your events, albums and keywords, faces and places back.
Because this process creates an entirely new library and leaves your old one untouched, it is non-destructive, and if you're not happy with the results you can simply return to your old one.

After connect iPhone to PC,it will be shown as a portable device in Windows explorer,and you can explore your existing photos including screen shots in there.
Keep my iPhone conneting with computer,press home-lock to take a sceen shot,go back to Windows explorer,open iPhone,but I can't find the recent sceen shot.I must eject my iPhone and reconnect it into my pc to get the sceen shot.
And the same problem with camera too,i need to reconnect the phone to get the photo if i take it with my iphone pluged in.

Press and hold the Home button and use the on/off or sleep/wake button as a camera shutter button for the screen shot.
Or while pressing and holding the on/off or sleep/wake button before the slide to power of appears, use the Home button as a camera shutter button - this must be done before the slide to power off appears.

No offense poster, but come on. I'm not one to tell people to "google it" as a response to a question but if told the same correct answer 4 times, you're phone's either broken or you're not trying. This reminds me of my dad asking me to set up his iTunes for the 50th time because he doesn't get the learning is doing thing/me pointing him in the right direction then figuring it out.
ANYWAY. Far more interesting question. An a-hole sold me a 32 gb iPhone 5 on craigslist and said the volume down button is the only thing that doesn't work. Of course, shoot me for using craigslist, but it's riddled with issues. One being I'm a huge screenshot take and the top bottom is dodgy and either works or doesn't. So. Whenever I need to screenshot, I actually do go to Siri because sometimes the top button isn't functioning. I turned assist ice touch on and can do it like that but then I got into looking at gestures and actions and wondering if there's a cooler way to maybe peform a gesture that takes a screenshot.

Hi Try a Reboot press & hold power button & menu button hold both down until you see Apple Logo . You will not lose any data . Cheers Brian

My Iphone 4 keeps trying to turn itself off and also takes random screen shots. I think it might have something to do with the Sleep/Awake button but any help would be greatly appreciated.

If this iPhone has had the screen replaced previously, possibly LCD Display connector has simply come loose from the Logic Board. Possibly the LCD Display is faulty and the front screen assembly needs to be replaced. If you have Warranty or AppleCare make Genius reservation or set up service and take or send to Apple. This is handled by Apple with Replacement iPhone 4S.

Anyway here's what I did:
I'd wrote an email to Apple America, even if I'd purchased the item in Europe and the US support usually should not be involved in any European case.
They wrote me back that a European office will have call me in 48 hours.
After a couple of days I've received a call and a new iPod is coming from US...
Don't ask me if I can find any kind of logic behind it, but at least I can state that the US support has been decisive.

IPhone Coma Mode - the all input results in screen shot photos

Since 3.1 my iPhone 3G goes into a 'locked' mode where it ignores all input
If I call it - nothing happens, if I try trace it with FindMyPhone - it's reported as being off the air
If I leave the phone for about 15-20 mins then all is fine again. Otherwise a hard-reset is required
Whats strangest is that often when it's coming round from this mode, if I press the main button on the phone it takes screen shots as if they are photos - complete with photo sound. So far, I have found no way around this other than a hard-reset or again, leave the phone for 10+ minutes

Whichever button you see as the 'main' button then the other one sounds like it's sticking and eventually (after 10+ minutes) is freeing up enough to break contact again!
I suggest this is the problem because if you press and release both buttons quickly then you end up taking a screen-shot as part of normal operation. The fact that you only need to press one button to get a screen-shot might be a clue?
Check that both buttons are clean, not obstructed by any case and free to move normally and you may be lucky!

Iphone 5 taking screen shots by only pressing on/off button

I know it's supposed to take screen shots if you hold down the home button and the on/off button together, but my phone is taking a screen shot every time I turn it off (i.e., without pressing the home button). Anyone seen this issue?

Maybe the home button is stick. Try
Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the home button together until the apple logo appears (ignore the ON/OFF slider) then let both buttons go and wait for phone to restart (no data will be lost).
