IPhone screen touch sensors cancelled out over gallery when accordion w/ menu embedded extends over

iPhone 4s screen touch sensors are cancelled out over a gallery when an accordion w/ a menu embedded in it extends over the area. Upon FTP uploading the site, when I load each page from my iPhone the menu extends and then retracts. The area over which the accordian panel with the menu in it extends loses the touch sensitivity. I learned this when I had a gallery at the top of the page. Swiping left or right only continues to work bellow where the accordian extended to before retracting. And although activating the "Light box" works, the light box itself becomes an empty spot on the screen because it's invisible from my phone. Either I can place the Light box at the top of the screen under the banner and menu or at the bottom. Either way, it looks like a blank spot from my phone.

After almost 2 days of ICS, here's another update:
CONS:
No notification on lockscreen. The heck important is that.
Calendar widget not even showing the next event.
Lag on Facebook, or even other social media apps while typing something.
SYSTEM UI IS NOT RESPONDING. I almost gone in that moment, where I did a quick Settings Reset after reboot. This is a major con, Sony.
Swiping up and down with many items is now unresponsive, sometimes stopping quickly at a certain point.
PROS:
Bloatwares can now be disabled, or even uninstalled in Apps Settings. I tried to remove What's App, appXtra, and UEFA.com bloatwares, and now it's gone. Let's Golf HD can now be disabled.

If your screen is black but the phone appears to still be responding, you may have inadvertently activated a feature known as Screen Curtains (part of the Accessibility functions). You may find the following information from the iOS manual helpful (pg 126):
Turn the screen curtain on or off. Triple-tap with three fingers. When the screen curtain is on, the screen contents are active even though the display is turned off.

Something in OS X is corrupted. Try reinstalling OS X:
Reinstalling Lion/Mountain Lion Without Erasing the Drive
Boot to the Recovery HD: Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the COMMAND and R keys until the menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions: Upon startup select Disk Utility from the main menu. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions as follows.
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the main menu.
Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion: Select Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion and click on the Continue button.
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible because it is three times faster than wireless.

Is the iphone screen touch response different between no protector, plastic or tempered glass?

We've used the Otterbox defender for our iPhone 4's.With 6's on order, we need to figure out the case.
After a year or less, the clarity of the screen when viewed through the Otterbox plastic shield becomes fairly lousy. Additionally, the rubber 'snap' covers for the power attachment, earbuds and sound on/off no longer close due to use.
I will not buy a separate plastic stick on protector having given up on same due to bubbles+
I'm assuming? that the new tempered glass protective covers do not have the bubble problem due to the rigidity of glass(?)
So I've got 3 questions:
1. Has anyone actually done a study to determine whether there's a significant loss of finger conductivity resulting from a protective cover or not? If so, was the plastic cover any more or less conductive than the tempered glass protective cover?
2. Is there a rubber bumper recommended here (then we could either go naked or use a tempered glass protector)?
3. Has anyone else experienced my Otterbox problems referred to above?

The tempered glass protectors don't bubble and they don't seem to significantly change anything. I don't know if anyone has done a "study", though.
I've never really had major problems with Otterbox products. When I have, Otterbox has replaced the defective product.

Why does my iphone 4 go in and out of charging when plugged in?

I have an iphone 4 with the recent ios8 update installed but for some reason recently it does not charge right away when plugged in, and when it finally does charge it can blink on the screen in and out of charging like the cable is not supported. It is the same iphone 4 lightning cable that I bought with it so that can't be the issue right? I restarted the phone today as well and that still didn't fix it. It will charge the battery all the way when it connects properly but the connection is the problem. Is this a hardware or battery issue that can be fixed easily?

Yes, as paulcb says, it's most likely because coverage inside the building stinks. You're lucky you can get the EDGE signal inside. The last place I worked, AT&T had to come out and place an antenna inside the building. Largely because we threatened to cancel our contract of over 500 phones with them if they didn't fix it.

I use Kapresky Internet Security 2011 and I accidentally downloaded your latest update. This cancelled out Kapersky. When will I get fix so it works again??

Somewhere I hit the download button for the update and when I did, Kaspersky doesn't work when using Firefox/Mozilla. How can I get it back working. Kaspersky has been the best anti-virus, etc., system I have ever had.

It was in warranty (one year) until it was opened.
If it is working (other than fingerprint reading), the safest thing is to just use it with a passcode. It is still better than any other model iPhone.
If you are feeling lucky, you could take it back to your service person. Maybe the cable from the home button isn't connected properly, and can be fixed. There is, however, the risk of more damage, so you can end up with no working phone.
If there is a real Apple store available, they may accept it for a non-warranty replacement. It would be cheaper than a new phone, but a lot of money for just getting fingerprint reading.

IPhone 3GS touch screen responds slowly or not at all since upgrade to 4.3.3

Ever since my iPhone 3GS upgraded to OS 4.3.3, it behaves strangely.
The following happens from time to time, not all the time, but often enough to be annoying.
Reaction time of screen touches is slow or, worse even, when I touch an app (any app), it dims and then nothing happens, until I tap the screen on various spots, then the app where I pressed the last time opens up.
When typing a message or email, characters duplicate (not all the time).
When I want to delete ONE character, the whole text is deleted, slowly, one character at the time, and I can’t interrupt it.
When I want to scroll through screens, nothing happens….until suddenly multiple screens scroll by.
When I scroll down, like in Twitter, from time to time nothing happens or suddenly a tweet highlights all by itself (!!); when I try to continue scrolling down, that highlighted tweet opens.
When I close an app, it closes but the screen is not responsive (like above in #1).
I took off the screen protector.
I shut down and restarted several times.
I rebooted several times.
I restored the iPhone several times.
To no avail…..the same annoying and unpredictable problems pop up.
My mobile phone company (Orange) has no clue, though they suggest to “send it to Apple” which may take 6-12 weeks (!!!!).
The Apple importer in Israel (iDigital) has no clue and is not helpful at all: they claim they don’t handle iPhones.
Last, but not least: Apple doesn’t give any iPhone support either, not online, not by phone, nothing…..
Anybody can help?

No replies.....nothing from Apple, of course.
Update:
1. Orange had the phone for 2 days....and did nothing.....got it back in the same state.....claimed that there was "nothing wrong"
2. Meanwhile the iPhone was responding slower and stranger, opening apps by itself, disconnecting phone calls without touching the phone, freezing, impossible to scroll down (only up), impossible to answer phone calls because the screen wouldn't react......getting madder and madder
3. So with no "repairs", help or advice I did the whole rebooting and restoring bits again.... with ONE difference.... I restored first as a new phone and then again a second restore using my backup..... it took me almost 1 full hour........ BUT IT WORKED...... and I'm using the iPhone now as if it were brandnew..... the only setback is that you have to rearrange your apps from scratch, login your FB, Linkedin, Twitter, etc. anew, reload your pics and music, and in fact redo ALL your settings.... cost me 2 hours.
BUT COULDN'T ANYBODY TELL ME?

My new iPhone 6 touch screen randomly goes nuts. At first it was just a dead spot on the screen where the y key was located, it wouldn't let me touch anything there, then this issue stopped abruptly. Now it's just doing stuff on its own, opening apps and rapidly going from one app to another when I barely even touch it. (For instance, I opened Facebook and it randomly selected a person's status, jumped back to the newsfeed, went back to the status, copied someone's comment, went to search and pulled up a new person's profile, closed, opened YouTube, then I locked it and unlocked it to find Safari open. All within a few seconds.) I tried a hard reset, and the issue is persisting. I'm starting to hate this thing. It's such a nice phone, except for all this. Anything I can do, or do I just have to complain to the Verizon store and have them send me a new one?

My iphone 5 touch screen seems to have a mind of it's own. Whilst I am trying to type a text message it will quite often whilst i'm tapping on letters, typr different letters, or open up the edit messages to select and delete messages.
The screen can quite often take up to 5 attempts to use the home button when the phone it locked to bring up the swipe to unlock, and even then sometimes it will take 4 or more attempts to swpie to unlock.
Most recently I was on FB chatting and whilst typing, the letters were all coming out completely wrong, and then it was taking me into completely different screens, screens that whilst i'm tapping letters at the bottom on the screen, i'd have to ne touching a button at the top of the screem to actualy get into - yet my phone is doing it on it's own.
It has even whilst sittig next to me on the bed, scrolled from my "home page" to the next page over ???
i have spoken to Telstra who suggested a network restore, this did nothing. They suggested doing a back up, the a complete restore, which I am hesistant in doing as I have a fear of losing everything on my phone esxpecially my contacts, despite having done a back up.
Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Restart your iPhone...
Hold down the sleep / wake button until you see the red slider then swipe to power off. Then hold down the sleep / wake button until you see the Apple logo.
Try the keyboard. If that doesn't help, try force quitting the app you are using when the keyboard becomes unusable.
Press and hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button for a few seconds until a red slider appears, then press and hold the Home button until the app quits.

Major iPhone 4s touch screen problems. The screen randomly "quivers" and performs random commands.

The touch screen on my iPhone 4s started flipping out yesterday. When typing in iMessage, it will randomly pause, add strings of letters, go back to list view. In Safari, touching the screen causes the the page to jump around or go "back". Same in apps. Help!

I also made an appointment at the Genius Bar and took my phone in Sunday. The phone didn't exhibit any of the problems described above while I was there but honestly, I'm not sure the guy even checked. We sat down, I described the problem, he went to the back and got me a new phone. According to him, it had a bad touch sensor. We backed my old phone up to iCloud one more time, got the new phone running and restored to my back up, deleted everything off of my old phone, and I was out the door in no time with a new phone, and all of my data.
All tech products will have their share of issues, that's just the way it is. But my experience in the store last Sunday is the reason I won't even consider buying a phone or computer from any company other than Apple.

Anywhere you can find it via the obvious Google search. It won't be from Apple, but will be a generic replacement.
Why are you throwing away any future chances of out of warranty replacements when you drop or drown it? Apple will give you a warranteed replacement phone for $199 (in the US, roughly the same in your country)

Please can someone assist me on what to do on the following;
After update of my iphone 3GS ios. I found out that my iphone has returned back to factory setting and it shows No Service on the top left corner of my iphone screen. It equally shows on the screen that I have to set up the iphone before using it again. I followed the on screen display then get connected to a WiFi, but the response I was getting is that the Set up Server cannot be contacted please try again latter. I chose the option of using itune through my Laptop. The response I was getting here is that my iphone cannot be connected the itune store because my iphone was not found.
I am regretting why I updated the ios. Please, can someone advise me on what to do please.

It sounds like there’s an issue with Settings, the Notes app entry isn’t showing up as expected. Take a look at the article linked below and try restarting your iPhone 3GS.

Iphone 5 touch screen freezes, is my iPhone defective?

My iPhone 5 touch screen frequently freezes. If I leave it alone it will be OK in a couple of minutes. Is this a common problem or do I have a defective iPhone?

I have a similar problem, but waiting does not solve it. If I cycle the power button it will work again, but it keeps happening and it is really annoying. I have had the phone since it came out, and only started haveing this problem in the last couple of days. I have tried a reset -- makes no difference.
