IPhone - serious email issue - there has to be a fix?

I have a new iPhone. It will not drop the mail connection to the email server. Please read the following thread before responding if you would please. I have been working on this for days, I am not a super techie, but I do know what is happening, but also that there has to be a fix for this, or the iPhone has a serious flaw. Or, if needed, instead of 'flaw' I will just say a serious shortcoming compared to every other smartphone on the market!

OK got this figure out. Thanks for your help!
Here the deal (with Office 2003, not sure about newer versions). Originally I just set the incoming server to imap.charter.net and tested. Now this was with my existing pop accounts (Outlook). The rest of the settings looked the same as they should for imap. That test failed as I mentioned.
What you need to do is delete the pop account completely and then add it back. When adding it back, there is an option for imap, pop or others.
Now when the account is setup, it does looks identical to the pop account with the exception being of course the incoming server is imap.charter.net and not pop.charter.net. But there are obviously other settings/changes that are made when an imap account is created.
Bottom Line.
1) Delete all of your PC/Laptop Outlook pop accounts (don't modify).
2) Recreate them all as imap accounts.
3) Set your iPhone up as instructed (all imap).

I would not use iTunes Match as a backup. There are too many bugs and I don't think that's what they intended it to be anyway. The main advantage of using it is to make your music available on OTHER devices, not to replace the music on your original computer.

There has to be a fix to this!

Everytime that I try to play songs that I have purchased, it asks me to authorize my computer. I have many times and it still don't work. I have even deleted the sc folder contents and even that didn't work. I have de-authorized then re-authorized and that did not work. I deleted free songs and that didn't work. I have logged on as administrator and tried a few things and that didn't work. Sometimes, after I plug my ipod in and authorize my pc before trying to play a song, my purchased songs will play. (***???)
I am trying to avoid re-installing iTunes.
There has to be a fix for this. Do I really have to get a zune to have a mp3 player that works when I want it to???

I posted the issue above. I forgot to mention one more thing. If I don't plug my ipod in and then authorize my computer, sometime the songs will play. If I plug my ipod in and try and play the song off the ipod, not only will they not play but now the songs that were playing on iTunes wont play.

Iran uses GSM, so the iPhone 5 will work. It is already unlocked. Just put local Iranian SIM in phone.

Iphone 3GS Email issue

I just purchased an Iphone 3GS (previous owner of 3G)
Had email setup through Push with my works Exchange server with out any problems.
Now, every so often I try to send an email with an attachment(or forward it)it gets stuck in my out box and won't send.
I have full signal!
Error: "Cannot Send Mail" An Error occurred while delivering your this message.
Ever since I have upgraded to 3GS I have been having issues sending email.
There are a few other people in the office experiencing the same problem with their 3gs, and all of the people with 3g are still not having any problems.
None of the settings at my job have changed at all.
Any help would be nice.

At times for Larger Files over 500 KB, I have, had to go into other
folders, and back out and into Sent, I did receive the error again
repeated steps above and it went.

This iPhone 3GS Email was Sent (Put in the Outbox at 3:53 PM.
To confirm the ability to still send email I sent another email at 4:44 PM, no attachment went through and was confirmed received by the recipient at 4:44 PM. Email continues to send, and receive bypassing the stuck larger email in the Outbox.
This Photo is 2.25 MB, all the while when asked to Fetch you will receive the Error on your iPhone saying Cannot Send Mail An error occurred while delivering this message. Though this documentation event is regarding a 2.25 MB file this happens as low as 81 KB, and I believe even smaller sizes. There have still been times when sending files up to 200 + KB that have gone through with little or no delay.
I tested this during an Apple iCare Support session and naturally the email with attachment happened to go through during the Support Phone call.
Checking the size of the attachments they probably weren't the best examples to test with, 55 KB, and 220 KB.
Going into Sent Box...Seems to be an accelerator for the Checking Mail...It also seems to have a positive impact on the sending of EMails with Attachments...I just discovered this but hope this will be valid.

Some iTunes music content is listed as having been synced to my iPhone, however, when I try to access it on my iPhone, it's not there. How can I fix this?

I had a problem that some of the content I had purchased from iTunes was skipped over when I tried to play it on my iPhone. Music copied from CDs and some other content from iTunes worked fine. To try and fix this, I removed all the music from my iPhone and then added it all back on again. This worked for some of the content that was being skipped over, but now some of the content that was being skipped over doesn't appear on my iPhone at all.
When I open iTunes on my MacBook Pro and choose "On This Phone", there are 100 songs - all purchased directly from iTunes - that are listed as being on my iPhone but aren't there when I open iTunes on my iPhone. I also notice that you can't redownload purchased tracks from the iTunes store.

Answers to the similar "No Content" question seem to say I should turn off ZoneAlarm. However, I can't find this option in iTunes and some Googling suggests that ZoneAlarm isn't actually an integral part of iTunes anyway so that doesn't seem to have helped.

Iphone 5C email issues

I purchased my wife a new 5C (upgarded from the 4) and she is having continuous issues with email downloading. Sometimes it downloads, others it sayd it cant download from the server.. she had 3 email accounts. I have a Iphone 5 with similar accounts and no issues. She never had this problem with the Iphone 4. We turn it off and back on and sometimes that works but it seems like there is an issue with the mail routine of the 5C. Anyone else know about this?

Ios 7 iphone 4s email issues

Hello all,
Have 2 me mail accounts and 1 exchange account on my phone. Prior to upgarde to ios 7 all worked flawlessly. I t seems I have no problem getting new mail to all accounts, issue is send and syncing.
All 3 accounts, when sending new email, the mail appears to send, hear the swoosh and the email disappears. the email is not received by the recepient nor does it show up in sent folder. When replying to an email same behavior and the replied to icon does not appear next to the email replied to.
Have all 3 accounts set on fetch manually for new data.
I tried deleting and restoring 1 me account already, no change.
Any thoughts?

Interesting thought. But the settings on my Macbook Pro are the same as the settings I am setting on my iPhone. I can send and receive just fine on my MacBook Pro.

Sprint iPhone 4 Email Issues

Today, my dad just got his Sprint iPhone 4. He has two email addresses, one at Bellsouth and the other at Gmail.
GMAIL:
His Gmail won't work at all with the iPhone, nor Apple Mail. We can successfully log in on Gmail website, but when it comes to the iPhone and the computer, it rejects the information. It is an IMAP address, and POP is disabled.
BELLSOUTH:
After finding the configuration information online, we were able to set up his Bellsouth to receive email, but it cannot send email. When sending an email, it says: "A copy has been placed in your Outbox. The sender address "[email protected]" was rejected by the server."
He needs these emails to work right away, so any troubleshooting information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much!

A Gmail account can be accessed as a POP, IMAP, or Exchange account with the iPhone's Mail app, and as a POP or IMAP account with an email client on your computer.
How was the Gmail account created on the iPhone? The iPhone's Mail app includes a Gmail account preset that when used creates the account as an IMAP account.
What settings are being used when creating the account with the Mail app on the Mac?
Google has an authenticated SMTP server with an Gmail account. I don't believe BellSouth has the same. If not, he won't be able to send messages with the BellSouth account unless connected to the internet via an available wi-fi network with BellSouth as the internet service provider. Most, if not all ISPs block the use of SMTP servers that are outside of their network or not provided by the ISP being used for your internet connection at the time unless the SMTP server is authenticated.

IPhone 4 email issues. Need help!

I cannot send or receive email on IPhone 4. Have gone through SMTP set up multiple times, troubleshooting (on/off, wifi on/off, etc.)

The simple answer is that there is something wrong in the settings. Without knowing the settings that sprynet requires and what you have entered there's no way to diagnose it. Have you checked their web site? Most email providers now have specific instructions for configuring email on the iPhone for their servers; some even have special servers for iPhones.

IPhone 5C email issue

All of a sudden, last few days, every morning 6,000 emails appear on my phone as new. these are already opened on both the phone and my outlook account... any thoughts? I have deleted the account and checked the sync settings...

Lets... This is a personal email account for my wife's phone. We have Verizon internet and both her outlook account and the iPhone is set up for POP3. Both devices are set to "sync with the server" Her outlook doesn't have the opened emails flooding in only the iPhone. The iPhone she has had for months and this only started recently. No other email clients are on the device nor does she have any other email accounts. The phone has the latest IOS and patches.

IPhone 6 email issue

Since Friday 6th Feb, which may have coincided with IOS software update I am unable to get any emails. using; push, fetch or manual. I have also deleted my account and re-instated to no avail. Bottom of screen always says Updated Friday.

thanks for this. Have tried and email still not working. Though it did for a time and downloaded some spurious emails from 1970 and 2001 with no sender and no subject. Which leads me to believe that there is a problem with the Apple system as emails work on my iPad.

IPhone 4 email issues

My email just isn’t loading correctly. It says there is an email, and when I try to open it up, it partially opens, but in the middle, the clockwise circling dots keep say loading. What’s more is that I have deleted that email a few times, and it keeps coming back. But never to be opened.
And lastly, at the top left hand corner, those same clockwise circling dots just keep going, never stopping. I have held the sleep and off button to reboot a few times to no avail.
Anyone please help?
