IPhone showing two of same album - solution?

My iPhone shows two of the Satellite album by P.O.D
I always keep my id tags consistent, so they match up perfectly.
On my iTunes it is fine, but it shows two of the same album on my iPhone.
I tried unchecking, synching, and rechecking, but to no luck.
Does anyone have a working solution to this?

ALSO:
Despite having matching info in iTunes, the iTunes folder containing "Youth of the Nation" is "P.O.D_" while "Alive" was in "P.O.D". In iTunes it showed both as "P.O.D", no space after the former.
When I move the former to the "P.O.D" folder, it won't change the directory path in iTunes.

  • How can I display a compilation album as one album rather than as separate songs? (each different artist shows with the same album art)

I want a compilation album, consisting of different artists, to all be included within the one album folder.  Currently when scrolling through my ipod classic each artist has its own album folder, even though they originate from the same album e.g. "The Best Rock 'n' Roll Album in the World Ever" consists of two discs (50 songs).  Each artist's song shows as a 'separate album' of one song, each with the same album artwork.  I want all of those on Disc 1 to be under one album cover and similarly for those on Disc 2.

Select all the tracks on disc 1 and via Get Info, change the Album Artist to Various Artists and turn on the compilation flag. This is iTunes 12:
    Then repeat for disc 2.

  • ITunes and my iPhone show two different amounts for available space

I have been unable to syncronize my iPhone 5 for a while now.  I've tried unchecking the box to "Sync Music" which warned me it would remove music from my phone and then re-checking to re-add music back to my phone.  This has worked in the past when my phone has had issues synchronizing.  Now I appear to be totally stuck though.
The issue I've run in to is that iTunes says that I have 4177 songs (24.80 GB) on my iPhone (see below).
My iPhone under storage settings says I have 6.5GB (see below).
When I try to sync, I get the error message that says I don't have enough free space.  I've tried clearing out apps, etc to give me more free space but what I'm finding again and again is that the issue is what iTunes thinks I have as free space is different than what my iPhone thinks.
For instance right now my iPhone shows 20.1 GB available but when I try to synchronize, iTunes says I need an additional 244.6 MB of free space.  I clearly have way more than that according to my iPhone but can't seem to figure anything out.
If it's helpful, I'm in iOS version 8.2 and iTunes version 12.1.1.4 running on Windows 7 Professional SP1

You may notice a difference in available space statistics between Disk Utility, Finder, and Get Info inspectors. This is expected and can be safely ignored. The Finder displays the available space on the disk without accounting for the local snapshots, because local snapshots will surrender their disk space if needed.

    Hi
Since I have upgraded iTunes and my 4 and 4S to iOS5 they seem to have two names each
For instance in iTunes its called Mikes iPhone but in Windows it displays as Apple iPhone and the other displays the phones old name dispite being called something else in iTunes.
I have tried renaming the phone to something different - Works fine on iTunes but on Windows the name stays the same.
Tried restoring and also repairing iTunes = No difference.
I am running Windows 7 with the latest version of iTunes
    Thanks

i am having the same problem and still no solution!

Please advise, i have somehow downloaded some extra tracks  of the same songs, plus their relavant albums showing in songs/albums lists on my ipod nano 7th gen,how can i remove the unwanted extra songs/albums  safely. Please note i am a newcomer to using a ipod nano/uploading,downloading music.

    Hi Myketyke,
    Welcome to the Support Communities!
Since you are syncing your iPod nano to your computer, the best option is to remove the duplicates from the iTunes library on your computer.  Then resync your device.  The article below will show you how:

  • Error - Two Artists, Same Album Name, One Listing.

I was scrolling through the album view a few minutes ago looking for one album in particular to play a certain song and couldn't figure out for the life of me where it was. When I finally found it, it was combined with another album of the same name by a different artist (if you're curious, Leona Lewis' "Spirit" was grouped in with Jewel's "Spirit" album). I thought something might be wrong with my tagging, but I looked at my iTunes in album view and they come up as separate them. Does anyone know how to separate them?

In iTunes, in the 'Get Info' dialog box for the songs in question, have a look at the 'Album Artist' field. Try setting this field to Leona Lewis and Jewel for all the songs as necessary, and then sync with your iPod.

  • Why is my 7th Generation Ipod Nano not placing music in the same album?

    But to be more specific.
Let's say I've bought a music album from iTunes.
All the music is in the same album.
But there is this other song I've downloaded and I want to put it on that same album.
On my ipod, for some reason, they are on separate albums.
And yes, I've put ALL songs under the same album name.
(I know this isn't a big deal but I'd like to shuffle the album with all the songs together.)

    Hi TheBigWhiteGun,
Thank you for using Apple Support Communities.
Even if the album name in the same, if the artist or "album artist" is different, it still might not show under the same album.
Why aren't songs with the same album art grouped together?
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ts1468
There are three reasons why songs from the same album may not be grouped together
The album names of the songs may differ slightly
The songs from the same album may have different artists
Not all songs in the album have the same "Album Artist" assigned to it
See if that works for you.
    Best Regards,
    Nubz

  • Why does two iPhones show the same text

MY sons iPhone and husbands iPhones are sharing the same texts and syncing with one another how to do I stop this

Use a different Apple ID for iMessage on both phones.  (You can continue to share the same ID for iTunes.)
One of you needs to go to Settings>Messages>Send & Receive, tap the ID, sign out, then sign back in with a differert ID.  If you are sharing the same ID for FaceTime, do the same thing in Settings>FaceTime to avoid getting each other's FaceTime calls.

  • I set up "Find My Iphone App" using the same apple id and password on two iphones. Now the app only finds the phone that I did the setup on first. Do I need a different apple id and password on each phone for the app to run correctly?

I setup two iphones on "Find My Iphone App" Using the same apple id on each phone. Now the app finds only the phone I setup first. Do I need to use two different apple ids? If your answer is yes then how do I errase the setup in the second phone and assign a new id?

As TJBUSMC1973 states, and as I said earlier, the Find My iPhone app has nothing to do with your use of Find My iPhone. The app is just used if necessary to locate another iOS device from that particular iOS device. To see if both of your devices are being located in Find My iPhone, log into www.icloud.com and select Find My iPhone. Both of the devices should appear. If they do not, then go into whichever of the devices does not appear and make sure that Find My iPhone is activated. It has to be activated through iCloud, and for both to show on the same map, they both have to have the same iCloud ID.

  • My iPhone has two identical options under "iTunes wi-fi sync" that are the same computer. I only have one user on my  computer, and I tried moving my iTunes file in Finder to organize it and now my library's not synced with my phone. Help?

My iPhone has two identical options under "iTunes wi-fi sync" that are the same computer. I only have one user on my computer, and I tried moving my iTunes file in Finder to organize it and now my library's not synced with my phone. Help?

I have the same problem. Right now my iPhone 5S shows 3 instances of the computer to which it is connected under Settings » General » iTunes WiFi Sync. I'm having problems connecting and syncing, and this is probably the cause: the phone chooses one of these connections, and it isn't the one that's actually in use. What's probably happening is that the phone and computer establish a connection using a dynamic IP address, the address becomes "disassociated" due to error, another address is associated, the phone retains each address/link, and each link is displayed as if it represents a separate computer (the fact that the name of the computer is identical is ignored, as the only thing that is considered important is the IP address). But that's all conjecture. More important, I'm not sure how to fix the problem. A network reset doesn't do it.

  • After taking a pix with my iPhone, it shows up in my Album.  But when I select it to look at it or forward it, it disappears and the screen is blank.  How do I fix this?

After taking a pix with my iPhone, it shows up in my Album.  But when I select it to look at it or forward it, it disappears and the screen is blank.  This doesn't happen with all of my pictures.  I have the camera set on photo, with HDR off.  How do I keep this from happening?

Not sure if this helps you, but I had the same issue. I inadvertently must have chosen a filter instead of none. Once I went and fixed this, my pictures were in my roll and I could see them. Hope this helps. I think you should be able to pick a filter and take a picture, but it worked for my phone.

  • HT201317 Photos I take with iPhone not showing on "my photostream" album.

The photos I take with my iPhone 4 are not showing on "my photostream" album on iPhone. They are also not being sent to Apperture.
    iPhone is updated (ios 6)
    Mac is updated.
Both devices connected to same wi-fi (steady and fast).
Both devices connected with same apple-id.
Photostream is turned on in both devices.
    Tried to reboot both devices.
Tried to turn of and on again Photostream in both devices.
Images still don't appear on "my photostream" on iPhone and Apperture still don't get them.
    Please help.

Photos I import via Mac to Apperture are being uploaded to Photostream and appear on "my photostream" album on iPhone.

  • HT2905 same album but iTunes have its songs on two separate albums

I have Sting's If On a Winter's Night album which has 16 songs but for some reason, song number one is on an album and the other 15 songs on another album. Why is iTunes showing the same album twice and the first on one the other 15 on the other?
All 16 songs are on the same Windows folder.
I tried to delete the one with the first song but iTunes replies that the song will de deleted from iCloud. Tried to move that first song into the album where the other 15 songs are but it seems not to be possible.
    What is happening here?
I'm really getting stressed out about this.
    Regards.

That was my first thought. Copy/paste artist name and album name but nothing worked, I continue to have to album covers there, one with 1 song and the otyher with 15 songs.
The problem seems to be also in iCloud.
Deleted physical files from my computer and now I only have access to the album using iCloud but even there I can see two album covers, the same way I had with the physical files.
Does this means that the problems resides in iCloud?
I then put the folder where the album is back into iTunes folder, added the files to the library and continue to have song 2 till 15 on one album cover and song 1 continues to be on the second album cover where I have song one from the physical file and the same song 1 but this one has a cloud icon for download.
    What is happening here?

  • How do I sync my Iphone to two seperate machines with same itunes account.

I have two laptops one for home and one for personal. But I download music on both. Both are logged on under my own itunes account. But when I try and put the music on from the second computer. itunes will let me know that it will sync, but its going to erase everything from phone first. And I dont want to do that. How do I leave my phones data intact and just add music from my other computer?

    Sync iPod/iPad/iPhone with two computers
It isn't possible to sync an Apple device with two different libraries, however it is possible to sync with the same logical library from multiple computers. Each library has an internal ID and when iTunes connects to your iPod/iPad/iPhone it compares the local ID with the one the device normally syncs with. If they are the same you can go ahead and sync, otherwise iTunes will want to erase the content and reload. Manual management isn't an option with an iPhone since it still wants you to use a single library, and that won't sync plays.
I have my library cloned to a small 1Tb USB drive which I can take between home & work. At either location I use SyncToy 2.1 to update the local copy with the external drive. Mac users should be able to find similar tools. I can open either of the local libraries or the one on the external drive and update the media content of my iPhone. The slight exception is Photos which normally connects to a specific folder on a specific machine, although that can easily be remapped to the current library if you create a "Photos" folder inside the iTunes Media folder so that syncing the iTunes folders keeps this up to date as well. I periodically sweep my library for new files & orphans with iTunes Folder Watch just in case I make changes at one location but then overwrite the library with a newer copy from the other. Again Mac users should be able to find similar tools.
As long as your media is organised within an iTunes Music or Tunes Media folder, in turn held inside the main iTunes folder that has your library files (whether or not you let iTunes keep the media folder organised) each library can access items at the same relative path from the library folder so the library can be at different drives/paths on different machines. This solution ensures I always have adequate backups of my library and I can update my devices whenever I can connect to the same build of iTunes.
When working with an iPhone earlier builds of iTunes would remove any file not physically present in the local library, even if there was an entry for it, making manual management practically redundant on the iPhone. This behaviour has been changed slightly but it will still only permit manual management with a library that has the correct internal ID. If you don't want to sync your library between machines on a regular basis just copy the iTunes Library.itl file from the current "home" machine to any other you want to use, then clean out the library entries and import the local content you have on that box. However you lose the other benefits of syncing.
