IPhone shows more usage thank reality
Hi, I hope someone can help me with this. If I go into SETTINGS and USAGE, my phone shows 2.3GB of mail but I only have 2 emails in by inbox. All other mailboxes are empty. I've tried a hard reset but nothing seems to work. Any ideas?
How much is being used by other? This is the iOS, application data, mail data, and a few other things. If Other is more than 3GB, then that is indicitive of corrupted files on the phone. The way to take care of this is a restore. You can try a restore from a backup first, however that generally will just copy the corrupt file back to the phone, so you would need to restore as a new device. Remember, this will delete all data off the device.

I have an iPhone 6 with 33 photos locally saved and 0 videos. but when I look at my storage under the settings app it shows 2.3Gb of storage being used for photo library. when using my pc to look at the DCIM folder it shows only the 33 photos with a size of 44M but ITunes sees 2.4Gb and 471 photos. just trying to figure out why 33 pictures are taking up 2.3Gb
Oops, meant to reply to you and replied to the OP, my bad. Anyway, I already did that (multiple times) on my phone and on my computer and no luck. Here are some screencaps of whatever the heck is going on with my phone. As you can see, I only have 15 photos in my Photo Library, which is turned off in my iCloud settings, but my Storage indicates I have 1.2 gigs (584 photos according to my iTunes storage summary) worth of photos? So confused.

I only have about 300 pics on my phone, but the storage shows 4GB used on the phone, and when i view via iTunes, it shows i have over 1300? I have deleted all the photos in the "deleted" folder, as well as iMessages. I have restarted my phone, hard reset, just about everything I know to do, and it still is the same. I have seen the same issue other places, but no real solutions.
Before you unplug the phone you have to sync it with iTunes.

My photostream on my iphone shows more then 30 days of photos, however I have recently lost my phone and hadn't set up the icloud on my computer until now. Is there anyway to get all the photos in my photostream on my iphone or just the last 30 days?
If you backed up the iPod before restoring it then restore from that backup. See the restore topic of:

I had over 200 e-mails. I went to my webmail and deleted most of them. However, my iPhone still shows 200 e-mails. How can I force my iPhone to update from the e-mail server? Or will I have to delete each e-mail from my iPhone as well? Thanks.
You may have to try deleting all the music from your phone (by going to Settings>General>Usage>Music, swipping All Music and tapping Delete), then sync it all back on with iTunes in order to fix this.

I have a new iPhone 6 plus and all is OK. But the mail shows more than 400 'unread' messages whereas there are none in the mailbox or trash or anywhere else I have looked. I can send and receive with no problem. I'm sure I have no unread messages.

appears to work my iPhone still shows 6.5 gig use of photos when i only have the camera roll listedi thought the photo stream only holds 1000 i usuaaly take each month and save them to iphoto but if thats the my ipad should say the same amount and it doesnt - it shows 2.5 gig which is correct for iphoto. and i havent ever had that much but if for some reason icloud has that much saved how do i delete and again if it does why doesnt ipad show that amount _ HELP!

This issue seems to be caused by a bug in OS X 10.9.5 that affects Macs bound to an Active Directory domain.
See this discussion for a possible fix, which has apparently worked for some.
ASC member bmiller-tam reports that he solved the problem by unbinding from AD, then running the combo updater, and finally rebinding. I can't confirm. -

I'm guessing "the usage" means email usage that you found in Settings > General > Usage. If that is incorrect, the 2.4GB may well mean other stuff.
If correct, the 2.4GB may well include messages you have deleted, but are still on your iPhone. -
I have deleted all photos from my iphone and the usage is still showing 6.6GB used. I have connected via my computer and no pictures are shown. I have also gone into all my photo apps and no photos are saved. How do I resolved this?
If you deleted photos from the Camra Roll of the photos app they are not deleted immediately. Instead they are moved to the Recently Deleted album where they will remain for 30 days. This feature was added because so many people deleted photos then wanted then back.
To completely delete those photos quickly go to the Recently Deleted album and delete them from there. -

To put your iPhone back in jail do a restore.
This will put iPhone back into factory condition and you can get your updates (assuming you want the updates). -
In itunes my iphone shows up as having nearly 8GB of "Other"...what is taking up all this space?
On the iphone itself under settings, general, usage it indicates 12.7GB used and only 840MB available. I have one app (Audible) that is taking up 1.6GB, photos&camera take up 636MB, Spotify takes up 495MB, everything else takes up less less than 100MB each and totalling less than 2.5GB.
So if Audible is taking up 1.6GB and Spotify is taking up 636MB and all other apps take up 2.5GB this combined totals around 5GB. I have a 16GB iphone 4s.
16GB minus 5GB (my calculated usage) equals 11GB remaining. Allow for some required space utilization (let's say 3GB) and that leaves 8GB remaining. Why does my phone indicate 840MB available? That seems to equate to the amount shown in itunes that indicates 8GB of "other".
What is this 8GB of "other" that is taking up so much storage space on my iphone?

A ' Large Other ' usually indicates Corrupt Data...
First Try a Restore from Backup...
But... if the Large Other Persists, that is an Indicator of Corrupt Data in the Backup...
Then a Restore as New is the way to go...

Does anybody know of a report or T-code or SE16 table that shows the usage of the FBRA t-code which is considered by our auditors to be a high risk activity?
I've discovered from searching that there is a relationship between FBRA and the SE16 table BKORM but I'm not sure exactly what that relationship is. I'm not hugely knowledgeable about FBRA though I believe it can be used to stop payments.
The fields the auditors are hoping to see are Payment Ref, Vendor Number, Payment Value, Reason for FBRA usage, Date, Company Code.
I'm a bit out of my usual habitat here. I'm more comfortable in BI so any help or pointers would be really appreciated.

I want to clarify that t-code FBRA can be used to cancel the payments posted (not to stop payments). Assuming that we are now talking about canceling a payment document using FBRA, you can use SE16 to report most of the data required by your auditors.
Payment document will have a document type (BKPF-BLART) say, ZP so you can use this value in table BKPF and t-code (BKPF-TCODE) FB08 and the posting date range (say, Jan 1 2009 to Jan 31 2009).
Use of FBRA requires entering a reason code so you can either use standard SAP reason codes or create your own. This is identified in BKPF as the reversal reason.
Now using SE16, table BKPF and using the above selection screen values you can get the report. Payment value, payment ref and vendor name are not available but using this report you can use table REGUH or BSEG to get those details.
The best way is to create an ABAP query or a BW cube combining the above tables.

It seems your device may be stuck in recovery mode. At this point your device may need to be restored. Have you created a backup at any point via iCloud or iTunes? The following article provides details on recovery mode:

Get more help
Learn what to do if you don't see your device in iTunes for OS X, or in iTunes for Windows.
If you put your device into recovery mode by mistake, restart it. Or you can wait 15 minutes and your device will exit recovery mode by itself.
