IPhone SMS Preview option NON-Extent

Hello,
I'm finding it to be a real privacy problem that my iPhone previews Every sms even when it's Locked! Supposedly there is an option in the 'Passcode Lock' area for this, this has never existed on my phone. How can I find this option?

The problem is that the mere fact of receipt exposes one to a Khafkaesque choice between prejudicial interpretation vs. coercive disclosure of contents. How does this sound "I'm sure it's an innocent note, honey - but I'll just delete it so you needn't worry" (mops brow feverishly, hands shaking...)

works ok on mine - (5, 7.1.1). Try again. with previews set to none, mine shows the sender and the subject line only. (you cannot get rid of the subject) with the other settings, you get the sender, subject line and however many lines you selected.

IPhone Love Affair not for the timid (SMS preview problem)

I am having a love affair with my new iPhone, but to have a love affair whilst using the iPhone is a little problematic.
Apple: you need to lift the SMS Preview Disable OUT OF the passcode lock and give it the status it deserves. And after you do that, please add the ability to announce a generic "Text Message" arrival instead of broadcasting exactly which paramour is messaging, even when preview is disabled.
Let's say paramour #1 is looking at a picture on my iPhone. Phone can't be passcode protected at this moment. And at this moment, because that's how my digital life is, paramour #2 sends a text message that says "why don't you dump paramour #1 and ......?"
Apple, I need more discretion in my affairs with your technology.

I'll frame the issue in a way maybe everyone can relate to:)
Your boss asks you to take a picture of the scrawl he just put all over the whiteboard because he knows your iPhone takes really good pictures. You do this and he wants to see it. You hand him the phone. He is looking at the picture. At that moment, your friend text messages you the following "So, have you told your boss yet that you're quitting?"
In my opinion, as people use text messaging more and more, privacy control is going to be critical. Right now, Apple is not providing even a basic level of privacy control in the way they are conceptualizing disabling the SMS preview.
This might be my problem today, but its going to be Apple's in the future if they don't think about how privacy and UI intersect.

How did you create the account ? Unless you followed, exactly, the instructions on the HT2534 page that you posted from when creating an account then credit card details will need to be entered before the account can be used to download any item from the store.

Need to Resume download to complete the ongoing Process.
Last Resort, put the iPhone in DFU mode (Google How to do that). Connect in iTunes. Follow on-screen prompts to Restore. All Data would be lost, if not backed up earlier.
To save the photographs you may have to use third party software. Google is your friend.

SMS Preview on iPhone 3G

Despite following the User Manual instructions for turning OFF the SMS preview on my iPhone 3G, I cannot get it to work in both the unlocked and locked state.
Whatever I do, a preview appears!!
Can anyone help?

This is really annoying. Anyone from Apple watching this and can help? Hard to use the phone sometimes when the texts keep popping up. Or if someone else is using the phone and they see a text I'd rather not have them see.
This is what is in the user's guide:
By default, iPhone displays a preview of new text messages when iPhone is locked or
you are using another application. You can turn this preview on or off in Settings.

SMS preview wont turn off

Just got my iphone through o2 and i love it!
Im having a problem getting the SMS preview to turn off. I have enabled a passcode and turned off SMS peview in the general settings but I'm still getting the message appearing on the screen.
Ive tried resetting and restoring the phone but no luck
Any thoughts? Its probably something simple.

The sms preview off/on setting is for when you have the lock enabled. When you get a text when the phone is locked (passcode or not) it only says "text message" and senders name. When you enable the passcode lock, the option is to allow a preview on the lock screen, not disable preview on any other screen. The purpose is to let you see the preview without typing the passcode. there is no way to block the popup with preview when the phone is on any other screen than the locked screen.

i have had this issue starting with an old iphone 4. Even though the option to show preview was disabled, the sms content still appeared on the screen. I have upgraded to an iphone 5 and 2 days ago upgraded to an iphone 6. The option is turned off in Settings>messages> show subject field, yet it does nothing. I suspect I still get this error because I have restored the backups with itunes when setting up the new devices (both the iphone 5 and 6). Can someone guide me through getting rid of this? It is really annoying.

That is not the setting to turn off the SMS preview. That is the setting to turn off the Subject field when composing a message. The setting you're looking for is Settings>Notifications>Messages>Show Preview>Off

Preview options in the "save for web" dialog

According to the reference, the previews in the "save for web" dialog are there only for showing how the image can be seen on various platforms with different gamma values.
But, if we open a non-sRGB image (ProPhoto for example) by the "save for web" option, the preview options (other than the "use document profile) in the "save for web" dialog assign sRGB color space to the image even when the "convert to sRGB" option is unchecked ... this causes unrealistic, dull previews for the image.
What is the reason behind that PS assigns sRGB to the image previews if we uncheck "convert to sRGB" option?

Basically, how animation works with GIF and Save for Web in PSE is that each layer in your document is a frame of animation. So you see one layer, then the next, and so on. You should not see the contents of the last frame/layer when looking at the current/next frame of the animation.
Could you post a screen shot of your layers panel and give us a link to the GIF that is coming out of Save for Web?

Unable to set browser preview options

I posted this a few days ago and didn't get any responses, so
am trying again in case I'll have better luck today. :-)
I hope someone can help because this problem, which suddenly
occured, is makign it impossible for me to do any work in
Dreamweaver and that's driving me crazy... :-0

I feel a bit silly about this - but for some reason I am
unable to set the browser preview options in my preferences. I'm
using Dreamweaver 8 on a Mac OX10.3.9, and trying to designate
Firefox 1.5 as my default primary browser, and Safari 1.3.2 &
IE5 as secondary options. When I first open Dreamweaver I get a
message saying 'Unable to read Preview in Browser Preference.
Please remove all browsers form the list and add them again". So I
remove them all and when I try to add them back, none of my choices
show up in the box. Then I restart and the old ones are still
there. If I try to change the check in the box that indicates
primary or secondary browsers, my program crashes. Anyone have a
clue what's going on? Thanks so much for any help...

Bapi Class HRPAD00INFTYUI - Remove option None from Account_Type_RadioButto

I am currently using ecc6/ep7.
I am using the class created from the HRPAD00INFTY Bapi. The screen field Account_type_RadioButton has 3 options. They are
   1) Checking
   2) Savings
   3) None
Checking is marked as the default.
I need to eliminate the "None" option. I need to be able to use the other 2 options. Through personal modification using the Bank Information Iview, I can make the field, Account_Type_RadioButton", invisible. I need to make the option None invisible. I can't do that by modifying the iview by previewing it. I'm thinking that I need to do this by using the INPUT_CONVERSION method or OUTPUT_CONVERSION method of the HRPAD00INFTYUI class. I've looked at the SAP documentation at
"http://help.sap.com/erp2005_ehp_04/helpdata/en/43/304ad229990b19e10000000a1553f6/frameset.htm" relative to the input and output conversion methods.   I also found another good example of code using the Input_conversion method found at "ESS Bank Iview I'm still grasping at straws trying to figure out how to remove the 'None' option from the Bank Information screen.
Code samples or suggestions using these two methods would be invaluable to me.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

The radio buttons for account type are not populated from the backend and I don't think making changes in HRPAD00INFTYUI will work.
These are built using the webdynpro code shown below.

IPhone SMS System for Nokia E72 ?

Hey there...
well...iam using my E72 for about 3 Weeks now, and iam really happy wid it...
great phone...
BUT...
iam really interested in a SMS Programm for the E72 which let me see my SMS sorted in Bubble System like on my iPhone...just ONE category for ONE Contact, to keep my SMS sorted for each contact...income and outgoing sms just like on the iPhone...
i searched the Ovi Store , but couldn´t find something like it...
Please...get me tipps if you know a program which could turn the crapy nokia sms system to a overviewed, organized contact-category system just like on the iphones...

If I remember correctly, conversation does what you describe. As the application is "experimental beta", the functionality might not be on as good level as you expected. I would still say that it's worth trying

Payment option 'none' disappeared when creating account

When creating a new iTunes account, the option to select no payment option ('none') has disappeared. The only options available are Visa, Mastercard and Amex.
Have tried this on both an iPad an an iPhone and the option is not available.
I've created a number of accounts over the past 2/3 weeks and the option was available then.
Anyone else having this problem or know what we can do about this?

Why?

I need to transfer playlists from my old iphone into itunes so that I can then add them to my new iphone 6. However, none of the playlists on my iphone appear when I connect to my macbook. I have read other threads but have not found answer. help!

I am a group exercise instructor and rely heavily on my playlists. My old phone is an iphone 4s and I just bought an Iphone 6. I also have a macbook where I keep my itunes account, but I create all my playlists on my phone. I need to transfer those playlists from my old iphone into itunes in my computer so that I can then add them to my new iphone 6. However, none of the playlists on my iphone appear when I connect to my macbook. I have read other threads where the suggestion was to attach the old phone to itunes, find the phone in itunes and click the little arrow to the left to show the playlists. Then right click on the playlist and export it, saving it to the desktop, to then import it into itunes. However, in my case, the playlists do not show up when the phone is connected to itunes. I have clicked on the little arrow and all I get is "music", "purchased", etc., but none of my playlists. I'm sure some years back I probably deleted something in my itunes library and now none of my playlists show. Please help me. I would hate to have to recreate all of my playlists. Thank you!

I know it sounds weird, and that is the reason I posted my question. Because my case is not like all the ones I've found online and it's confusing. I added a screen capture of my itunes with my old iphone (the one that houses my playlists) connected to it.
My playlists "ARE" in my iphone 4s. They are still there even though they do not show up when I plug in to itunes in my computer.
When connecting my phone to itunes on my macbook, the playlists do not appear anywhere in itunes. I have found my connected iphone icon, I have clicked on the arrow next to it and it does pull up the standard lists that come with the iphone/itunes: Music, Movies, TV shows, books. That's it! below that is "Genius" and below "Geniuns" is "PLAYLISTS" but the only playlist of mine that shows there is one that I created several years back titled "90's music" and that one I created it on my computer, not my phone. Under "90's music" there are also other standard playlists that itunes automatically adds.
Does anyone else have this issue or know how to get around this. I am starting to think that I am going to have to recreate these lists on my computer
