Any idea? I click on the Done button, but nothing happens.

Apps are stuck in an "installing" mode

I have several apps stuck in the "installing mode" after a recent attempted update. It is very strange because these apps are
not visible on my homescreen - so I cannot delete and reinstall. I can only see them in the purchased apps category within the APP STORE. They
function button/box is greyed and has the letters INST visible. Almost like you would see while an app is installing - this has been the case for over

You can try any or all of these suggestions. They have worked for other users in the past, but YMMV. Just ignore anything that you have already tried unsuccessfully.
Reboot the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
Make sure that you do not have a stalled download in iTunes - a song or podcast .... if you have a download in there that did not finish, complete that one first. Only one thing can download at a time on the iPad so that could be what is causing the problem.
If that doesn't work - sign out of your account, restart the iPad and then sign in again.
Settings>iTunes & App Store>Apple ID. Tap your ID and sign out. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
Go back to Settings>iTunes & App Store>Sign in and then try to update again. Tap one waiting icon only if necessary to start the download stream.
You can also try deleting the waiting icons - tap and hold down on an icon until it wiggles - the tap the X on the icon to delete it. Then try to download again.
You can try resetting all settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. You will have to enter all of your device settings again.... All of the settings in the settings app will have to be re-entered.
If all else fails, download the updates or the apps in iTunes on your computer and then sync the content to your iPad.

TS1702 My Pages app is stuck in the update mode

My Pages app is stuck. It is trying to do an update, but is stuck. Tap on the app icon and it says it is unable to download the app (update). I don't know how to get the app restored. The iTunes index in the help just gives me about 96 options. HELP! Thx
I have tried all the usual things such as a restart. Can I just delete it and reload without haveing to go thru the hastle of not having to pay for the app a second time?
I have done all system and app updates on a regular basis.

Hello, try this...
First, Safe Boot , (holding Shift key down at bootup), use Disk Utility from there to Repair Permissions, test if things work OK in Safe Mode.
Then move these files to the Desktop for now...
/Users/YourUserName/Library/Preferences/com.apple.finder.plist
/Users/YourUserName/Library/Preferences/com.apple.systempreferences.plist
/Users/YourUserName/Library/Preferences/com.apple.desktop.plist
/Users/YourUserName/Library/Preferences/com.apple.recentitems.plist
Reboot & test.
PS. Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive.

Original iPhone software 2.0 stuck in apple logo mode

Updated my original iPhone to 2.0 this past weekend then proceeded to load several games/utilities to my phone. This morning during browsing on safari that the screen went blank. I proceeded to restart but the phone is stuck in apple logo mode. Connecting it to iTunes only freezes up iTunes, never got to the point where iTunes recognizes the phone. I'm able to turn it off and it's about it. Help, I've got a brick....any suggestions? I've had the phone for a year and this has never happened. Thanks!

I also discovered that If I push it to DFU and then use Recboot to exit it it will show 4 lines from the console over the logo and than screen turns black until the battery will die.

Stocks App - Red/Green switched

A couple of weeks ago the colors in my Stocks App switched. When a stock is up, the percentage or dollar gain is shown on a red background. When a stock is down, the background is green.
Restarting the iPhone doesn't fix this.
Any ideas?
Operating system is 4.3.5 (8L1). I'm in China and would prefer not to download a whole new operating system if possible as that large a download is difficult to pull off here given my internet connection.

Well, I'm an idiot. I had the region setting under "International" in Settings set to China... that changed the stocks with gains to a red background, those with losses to a green background... that is the style and standard here in China where of course red is an extremely positive color!

My non-stock apps will not open on my iPhone 3G. Help?

The non-stock apps such as Facebook and any games won't open on my iPhone 3G. I have searched all through the discussion board and have tried a number of things. I'm a little desperate.
Things I have tried that have failed:
Turn iPhone off and then on
Hardsetting the iPhone
Restoring iPhone
Deleting and the re-adding the apps
Downloading new apps
Deleting and then re-downloading apps
Glaring at the iPhone
Obviously nothing is working so far. Please help me. : / my iPhone is my life. I use it for everything; school, work, relationships . . . EVERYTHING!!!

I use often stocks app in my iPhone and this good for quick info. Unfortunately i can't transfer this app to my iPad mini without jailbrake.
I don't want use jailbrake on my iOS devices what are the solution.

Standard/Stock apps crashing on iphone 3GS

I recently updated my itunes and iphone 3gs to the latest updates released by apple. Since then, none of the stock apps (safari, maps, mail, apps store, itunes, etc) are working. They crash on startup. All the third party apps i bought on from the apps store are working absolutely fine.
I have tried the reset and they still don't work properly.
Please help.

Close All Open Apps... Sign Out of your Account... Perform a Reset... Try again...
Reset ( No Data will be Lost )
Press and Hold the Sleep/Wake Button and the Home Button at the Same Time...
Wait for the Apple logo to Appear...
Usually takes about 15 - 20 Seconds... ( But can take Longer...)
Release the Buttons...
If no joy... Perform a Restore...
1: Connect the device to Your computer and open iTunes.
2: If the device appears in iTunes, select and click Restore on the Summary pane.

Iphone 4 stock apps keeps crashing when opened/

Hi everyone,
I have an Iphone 4g, and the stock apps like weather, calculator, safari, mail keep crashing as soon as I open them, and they do appear in the recent apps panel.
I've formatted (restored) it several times and it's the same.

Try a reset: Simultaneously hold down the Home and On buttons until the device shuts down. Ignore the off slider if it appears. Once shut down is complete, if it doesn't restart on it own, turn the device back on using the On button. In some cases it also helps to double click the Home button and close all apps BEFORE doing the reset.
Also, if you restored from back up, you may want to try doing so as a new device (without backup).

IPhone 5 stocks app is not loading

The native stocks app has stopped working and no longer updates. Has anyone else got this problem?

Try doing a reboot, hold both the power and home buttons until the apple logo appears, ignoring the red slider if that appears.
That clears a lot of minor glitches.

Iphone 4s Stocks app

I have an Iphone4 s about 18months old. The Stocks app which came already installed on the phone has started giving errors. For the last few weeks it keeps coming up with the message 'Error Retrieving Chart'. Does anyone know how to get this fixed?
Is it supplied by Yahoo?

Tried wifi off and back on then same error. Have now tried deleting the last stock I added then have changed the timescales on the other charts( I have about 15 stocks in total).They now seem to work on 1d or 1 w option. 1m to 2y options still not working. Is it due to the amount of data that needs to be retrieved for the longer timescale charts?
If this app is supplied by Apple on their phones do they not have the influenec to have it fixed?

Iphone 3GS in SPAIN with MOVISTAR: NO STOCK ANYWHERE!

The distribution of the iphone 3GS here in Spain is made by Movistar (Telefonica), and they don't have stock anywhere since 1 month ago... and is outrageous!
any other country with the same problem? They argue there is no stock available,
but at the same time used to liquidate the stock of older iphone 3G... I think it is unacceptable!
Please Apple, do anything! we are waiting more than one month to adquire the iphone and there is no way!

The situation here in spain, is atrocious!!! Movistar the official provider of the iphone is destroying the wonderful brand of apple with stupid decision-making, and unsatisfactory customer rapport.
There decision to overstock their stores with iphone 3G phones before the release of the new 3GS, meant that they would only order a limited stock of the new iPhone 3GS phones.
But for the life of me, i cannot understand this. In the UK & Ireland, 02 is the official provider of the iphone. Its parent company is Telefonica, which is also the parent company of Movistar.
When the new iphone 3GS was announced, all the 02 stores reduced theirs tariffs and prices for the iPhone 3G in order to clear out stock.
However in Spain it was different - right up to the day the iphone 3GS was released Movistar kept the sames tariffs and prices as before. (Stock obviously wont clear this way).
And even then when the day arrived for the new iPhone 3GS, they kept their new prices reasonably similar to the old 3G prices.
Why would anyone buy a 3G iphone for nearly the same price as the new one, when they can wait for the new better/faster version coming.
Makes no sense to me..
Anyway in keeping with the topic of the title of this message, I have placed my name in around 20 Movistar stores/distributors in Barcelona, and have been waiting for a telephone call for over 1 month.
I can't see the situation getting any better in the coming MONTHS!!!
Its seems i have wasted my time developing an app for the appstore, when i can't even get an iphone!!
I will continue the quest for an iphone......

Stocks App Using Battery

I noticed that the stocks app, although it runs in the background according to my iPhone, uses 10% or so of my battery daily. I don't open it al all, I have background app refresh turned off. I assume this is because it is on the screen when I swipe down. Regardless, how can I remove it from teh screen or keep it from using so much of my battery? I have made no changes to it and I can't see how I could.

You can set your notification preferences in Settings -> Notifications.
Set notification options. Go to Settings > Notifications. Tap an app to set its notification options. For example, choose to view a notification from the Lock screen. You can also tap Edit to arrange the order of app notifications. Touch , then drag it to a new position.
