Iphone stolen - Find my iphone application does not find my phone
Dear all,
yesterday evening my iphone 5 was probably stolen.
After I discovered that (approx. 30 to 50 min. after it was stolen), I tried to call my phone, but the phone was already turned off. I went home immediatly, logged-in into icloud and started "find my iphone app" and requested "erase" as soon as the phone goes online somewhere.
The problem I have now, is that several times I logged into that "find my iphone app" in iCloud in my brower, sometimes I received the message that "find my iphone app" cannot start. I did send report to Apple already.
I do have an old iphone 4 as well, which is also connected to my cloud. That phone is online and right in front of me.
When I start "find my iphone app" the phone cannot be found… it says the device is "offline". But it's not.
So I'm afraid now that the "erase" request for my iPhone 5 is useless and does not work.
On that phone is really sensitive data from work, so it must be erased.
Anyone knows what I can do now?

It sounds like you are doing everything you can given the circumstances. Heres a link that may help. I don't think it has any new information but to make sure you report it to your local law enforcement.

thanks a lot.No, my bad. It should be in your ENV file but I think Forms has actually stopped reading REPORTS_PATH so try putting your rdf in your FORMS_PATH instead (ie where your fmx's are). Or try setting REPORTS_PATH in your registry instead. I'm not in my office and cant remember exactly...

Using Airport Utility, OS X Yosemite sometimes does not find my airport extreme and my iphone 6 with 8.1 does find it. Is anyone else experience this glitch? Also I couldn't log on to Apple Support... Thanks

Iphone and ipad does not find the airprint printer
After I upgraded my iphone and ipad I lost my airprint function. Ipad and Iphone does not find the airprinter. The printer is a HP Photosmart 5520, and it does work wireless with my Windows PC that is on the same nettwork.
In our case the Airprint printers could not be found after IOS upgraded to 7.1.2, all was fine before then. I have scoured the forums and many people have suffered the same problem. All the solutions given are aimed at a domestic network with just a Wireless router. They all involve restarting all the devices and rejoining the IOS devices to the wireless network. Some people have had to do it multiple times before they regained use of the printers.
In my case none of these work because I am talking about a business network with two wireless access points, several switches and a router. To prove it is the IPads I have installed Bonjour onto a Windows PC (Bonjour is the technology used by Airprint). This finds the printers perfectly so it is definitely something that was changed in the version of Bonjour on the IOS 7.1.2 that is causing all the problems.
I was hoping that Apple would release another upgrade to IOS to fix this problem but it has been several weeks so far and nothing has emerged.
So something that worked perfectly a few weeks ago is now dead in the water because of an update on the IPads!!!!!!!! -

If you just try to put yourself in their position you will understand better.
Music Rights, security,every body wants something like this and like that- with all they have to consider and take care to get not sued- it is no wonder thta there are some restrictions.
And why ? because they are the only one to realy care an respond to questions and claims. Ever tried to get help from Sony and other Bigies ? Its like talking to a wall.Their support is just a not specific call center. Or did somebody read recently that Sony Erricson was called before the judge because their Cellphones are failing after third time repair (true story), their batteries are burning, their music devices dont let you transfer the music you bought(MiniDisc) and so on? Seldom right?!
If I read news about Apple, I just wonder how many legal challenges Apple has to face.
Looks like kind of sport in the US, to try to get money out of Apple.

Has anyone else had issues with phone network being unavailable on iPhone 4 since updating to iOS 5.0.1? My iPhone 4 is continually searching for a network and does not find AT&T, my provider. I swapped SIM cards with another iPhone 4 running ios 4 and established this is a device problem, not a SIM card problem.
Does the device get any signal?
Sounds like the device may have had a hardware failure. If it is out of warranty, the only option is the Out of Warranty replacement.
AppleCare is only an option if it is still under the original warranty. -
When I import my photos from my iPhone 4S into iPhoto the location does not appear. I have to open the info button on the photo click "photo place" then "find on map" and then the location appears. How to I get the location to appear automatically when I import my photos from my iPhone?
in your iPhoto preferences is look up location set to "automaticaly"?

I can't synch my iPhone with iTunes because the device does not show up in a device window when I plug it in...it's missing in action and thus I'm not able to add any content from the iTunes to my iPhone, e.g. podcasts. All the instructions on synching start with "find your device in the device window". But what if you have no device window?
Missing "message" from above: The iPad "DGMTR" is synced with another iTunes library on DGMTR's MacBook Pro. Do you want to erase this iPad and sync with this iTunes library? An iPad can be synched with only one iTunes library at a time. Erasing and syncing replaces the contents of this iTunes library.
I thought the libraries were the same. -
ITunes recognizes iPhone 3GS but XP, Vista, & Ubuntu does not

I am no longer able to copy my photos from my iPhone to my Dell XPS m1330 laptop running Vista, or my Dell Inspiron 1150 laptop running XP Home/Ubuntu 9.04. Up until recently, I could copy my photos without problems.
It is possible the mySQL-lite database and/or photos are corrupted on the iPhone and yes, there are some screen shots in the camera roll. I have 2498 photos and do not think emailing them is a viable solution.
I have read some of the threads here and have tried the ones below but there are so many variations and suggested solutions that I'm sure I haven't tried them all. That said, I have tried the following:
VISTA
1. Unloaded iTunes, turned off UAC, installed latest iTunes. NO DIFFERENCE
2. Connected iPhone via different USB port. NO DIFFERENCE
3. Connected iPhone when off, on, locked, & unlocked. NO DIFFERENCE
XP
Did the above except number 1 because iTunes not installed and added:
4. Let scanner wizard try but got the following error: "The computer cannot detect the scanner or camera. Please make sure the device is turned on and is properly connected to the computer."
5. Went to Control Panel > Scanners and Cameras > Apple iPhone > Properties but got the following error: "The imaging device is busy, or may be in use by another application. You may cancel, or wait continue to wait for the device to become available."
When canceling that, it would then say "The properties for this item are not available."
Any other ideas?

DanThank you for the welcome and the suggestion to use touchcopy to get the files off the iPhone. After paying $25 I was able to copy all my photos and as instructed I deleted the photo cache.
But Windows still does not recognize the iPhone (Vista: Control Panel > Scanners and Cameras is blank. Clicking "Refresh" does nothing. Control Panel > System > Device Manager does not show the phone in either USB Controllers or Imaging Devices). -
Problem:
When I plug in my iPhone to sync, it starts but does not complete the process and several pieces of data are not being transferred to my iPhone from my MacBook Air.
Any help that you can provide in helping my iPhone accurately sync with iPhoto and iTunes will be greatly appreciated.
Symptoms:
1) Sync: It’s not completing the sync. Below, I’ve provided all of my settings from the iTunes Summary tab so that you might tell me if I’ve selected any incorrect options. I prefer to sync the “old school” way – by connecting to the computer – as opposed to syncing over the cloud. Perhaps this is what’s causing the problem? Here is a list of the steps displayed in the iTunes window as the sync progresses:
waiting for sync to start (step 1 of 7)
backing up (step 2 of 7)
preparing to sync (step 3 of 7)
determining apps to sync (step 4 of 7)
preparing apps to sync (step 5 of 7)
importing photos (step 6 of 7)

2) Photos: I've selected only certain of my iPhoto albums to sync to my iPhone. All of the albums are correct/complete in iPhoto. All of the albums are listed on my iPhone, both before and after the sync, but the albums are empty (no actual photos) before and after the sync. Perhaps this is tied to the fact that the sync isn’t completing, but because “importing photos” is one of the steps that the incomplete sync displays, I don’t know.
3) Apps: When I launch iTunes and click on the Apps folder under the Library listing, then click on the Updates tab, iTunes searches for any Apps needing to be updated and provides a list. If I click on Update All, the Apps are successfully updated in iTunes. But, when I plug in my iPhone so that the updates will transfer to the apps on my iPhone, the updates don’t transfer to the apps on my iPhone and those apps still reflect that they need updating on the iPhone.
Other Potential Pertinent Info:
The flash memory hard drive on my MacBook Air recently died (perhaps a month or two ago). Apple had emailed me about a known issue and literally the next day, my MacBook Air crashed. I installed a new flash memory drive and re-installed everything from a backup off of an external hard drive. Everything seems to be working fine; it recreated accurately all of my software and data, including iPhoto and iTunes, the pictures and songs (respectively) for which are stored on that hard drive, as opposed to being on the flash memory in the MacBook Air itself. However, I don’t recall if the start of the sync problem described herein started happening at the same time that I replaced the flash memory drive. All I know is that the computer is working perfectly in all respects and that even as the sync is failing, it at least says that it’s doing the right things and looking in the right places (e.g., the list of albums on my iPhone matches the list of albums in iTunes, etc.).

i changed from i iphone 5 back to a iphone 4.. now my itunes does not recognise that i have a iphone 4! how do i convert my last back up (on iphone 5) to my new iphone 4?
In your case you can only restore from a backup that has been created with the same iOS version. An iPhone 4 can only run 7.1.2, and, unless your iPhone 5 did not run the same version, you can't use a newer iOS backup of the 5 on the iPhone 4

I'm running iCloud on a Windows 7 PC. Photoes have been autmatically uploaded from my iPhone. However, the "Photoes" ICON does not load, and I receive an error message of a problem. Then the ICON disappears. How can I access my photoes?

Are you running the most recent version of iTunes for Windows on your PC? You may be running an older version that is incompatible with the 4s.
