Iphone stolen- how to block destroy my iPhone?

Hello,
my iphone 5 was stolen yesterday. I called my provider immediately, however I had not activated 'find my iphone' prior. Was can I do to prevent misuse. I would like to have my iphone blocked/destroyed for ever. Is that possible?

No. Since you did not configure Find My iPhone when you still had, there is nothing you can do now.

You can't. If you had set up MobileMe / Find My iPad on it before it was stolen then you could try locating it either via me.com on a computer or Find My iPhone / Find My iPad on a another device - but that will only work if it's connected to a network and the device hasn't already been wiped and/or MobileMe disabled on it.
Apart from that you should report it to the police, and as a safety precaution you should also change your iTunes account password, your email account passwords, and any passwords that you'd stored on websites/emails/notes etc.

If the phone is offline there is no way to track it or send a message to it. You can place it in lost mode to lock it and send it a message (see http://help.apple.com/icloud/#/mmfc0f0165), but this will not take place until the phone goes back online, if it ever does. If it does, you will get an email informing you.

If you are an iCloud subscriber and had set up the 'Find My iPhone' app on your phone before it was stolen you can go to 'Find My iPhone' at http://icloud.com and lock the phone from there.
Otherwise all you can do is report the theft to your service provider and give them the IMEI number - many providers can permanently lock the phone using this.

Can only be done if your carrier offers blacklisting. Some do, some don't. So, report the loss to your carrier. If your carrier does not offer blacklisting, the phone can be restored & reactivated.
Apple does not maintain a database of lost/stolen Apple products & will not help you in anyway to locate your phone or block it.

It was never free for the 3GS.
It is if the initial sign-up is done on an iPhone 4, iPad or iPod touch 4th gen.

if you want to erase all data in the phone do this
If the phone is connected to the Internet and contains your account you can erase the phone by
1 Going to ( www.icloud.com) and sign in With your account (the account you use in the stolen phone)
2 go to Find My iPhone
3 if the phone connected to internet you will see the phone on the map
4 choose the phone and click (erase everything)

The only way to "Blacklist" your phone is if your carrier offers Blacklisting. There is no International Blacklist. If your carrier does not offer Blacklisting, then there is no way to Blacklist your phone.
Apple can't/won't help you.
