why as my iphone stopped day after warranty expires connected to itunes to restore but it wont complete keeps saying contact customer support but cant get my head around it can anyone help pls

Insignia TV flickering - any ideas? started 2 days after warranty expired.

My Insignia flat panel TV flickers after watching it for a couple hours. Then I have to turn the TV off and then on to make it better, but it's only good for a few minutes. Only by turning the TV off for an hour or so is it good for another couple of hours. The TV is about 3 years old. Anyone have any idea?

It definitely sounds like a heat issue. You might want to use a *poowerful* vacuum like a shop vac, and while the TV is unplugged, blow all the dust collected inside the unit. If that does not help, then a repair is needed.

My notifications on the iphone stopped working after purchasing ipad. Now only my iPad receives the notifications. Please let me know if there is a way to have both receive.

I turned off notifications. Turned off my phone. Turned on my phone. Turned on notifications. And now it started sending them again it seems... Have to go check the ipad later if it still is receiving as well...

applecare must be purchased while the product is still covered under its original warranty. If you have a proof of purchase that shows the product is still covered under warranty you can get applecare, otherwise you cannot purcase additional coverage

It's as simple as this:
Open iTunes.
Click iTunes Store on the left side of the screen.
Look on the left side - click Purchased (it has a NEW graphic next to it)
You will see everything you have every purchased from iTunes. You can redownload any of it.

Top button stopped working after warranty but I am told on models that qualify they will still repair for free

As it seemingly always works in my life my top button finally got the issue that all iPhones have. The fact it's the well known issue that after approximately a year the top button ceases to work. I was told if your phone qualifies however they would still fix it regardless of warranty expiring for free. They mentioned cracked screens, I don't have a "cracked" screens but there are surely some minor scratches when it would mistakenly be pocketed with my eyes, would this cancel that out? I just want to check as if I can fix it great if not, This is definitely a bothersome issue and I had left google expecting things like this not to occur, I don't know if I could justify staying with a company if I was charged for an issue well known to be due to sub par quality of their top button, I mean if they all break clearly they aren't top quality.

Random restarts...2 days after warrenty expires.

Like night follows day, my macbook pro is experiencing random restarts, a few days after my warrenty expires. these restarts never happen while i'm on the machine and in fact ive never seen it happen. i just return to find its restarted and needs my password. I know for certain this has happened once while on battery power. not sure about the other times.
Any thoughts on fixing this problem would be brilliant. I'd also be keen to know what problems i'm going to face fixing this (if its a hardware issue say) now that my warranty is up?
Some people on this forum are mentioning faulty batteries and cycles. i'm on 278 if that means anything...

I bought my iphone 4 off someone about 5 months ago an last night I accidentally dropped it in the toilet. Straight away it turned of BY ITSELF.. An I put it on rice straight away! It's been 48 hours an still nothing has happened it won't turn on or anything :( how much is this going to cost me considering the warranty is out and it's water damaged.. And can I still replace is considering its not under my name????

ITunes Movie Rentals disappear from iPhone a day after transfer from Mac

OK, this has happened to me twice now. Here's the scenario:
I have a long, international flight. I rent multiple movies so that I can have films to watch both to and from the destination.
I browse for the movies on my Mac (OS X Lion, current release)
I rent four movies on my Mac.
I then transfer them, one at a time, to my iPhone--a 4S with 5.0.1. (I do this because in earlier releases, a movie would sometimes disappear if I tried to sync more than one movie at a time).
After it's done, I see four movies listed on myiPhone in the Videos app.
About 2 days later, I look at iTunes and decide to load some audiobooks. I look at the Movies tab and it shows only one rental movie on the iPhone, the last movie transferred. The other three movies are nowhere: they do not show as on the Mac or on the Phone.
I check the phone. Only the one movie is present.
At no point did I start to play any of the movies. It appears that the first three rental movies transferred disappeared from the phone as if they expired 24 hours after the transfer.
And--just to make it fun--this is the second time the exact same scenario has played out. I had a long international flight at the end of September and on iOS 4 the same thing happened before that flight. All but the last movie transferred vanished from the phone after a day.
Anyone else run into this issue?
FYI: I have contacted support to see if I can get a credit for the "lost" rentals. But as of now I'm afraid to transfer rented movies to my phone.

Yep. Me too. Getting ready to fly overseas. My iTunes on my computer says they are on my iPad, but they aren't. How does that work when I can't 'find them' anywhere on my iPad?

My Iphone stopped ringing after my last sync

So I synced to iTunes and I bought two ringtones. I synced them to the phone. After that, my phone only vibrates, but NONE of the rings "ring", although the settings are correct the volume is at max.
I went to the genius bar at my local Apple store. They told me to restore in iTunes my phone to its original factory condition. I clicked on restore and all my photos and songs disappeared. So I test the phone. Nothing. Not ringing. People call me and I don't hear, obviously. Very frustrating. This is the 3rd. day and it's driving me crazy.
So I put all my data back into the iPhone. Still won't ring. Some bug when I synced it? Hardware fault? I did not want to go through the trouble of replacing it but tomorrow I am going to the Apple store again. I hope they do something about it, because a 500 dollar phone that does not ring after 3 months is real bad.
I have not heard anyone having this problem on any iPhone message board.
Any other ideas?

Another thing to try is turning the iPhone OFF - completely OFF - not just putting it to sleep - but actually turning it OFF. I say this because some people don't know that the iPhone has SLEEP mode (which it is in most of the time) but then can also be TURNED COMPLETELY OFF.
It's a computer. Turn it off and back on every once in awhile (especially) if you have trouble. Treat it the same way you would restart your desktop/laptop computer.

IPad started saying no sim a week after warranty expired, new sim doesn't work. Apple store said nothing they can do I have to buy new iPad. Surely this cannot be true, it's only a year old on a 2 yr 3G contract please please help

iPad 2 started saying no sim, exactly 1 yr old. Went to get new sim which also failed to work, seemed to be a Lot of people experiencing same problem. 3 store said apple knows its an issue. Tried everything suggested in forums, took it to apple store for full restore. Nothing helped. Apple store said I had to buy new iPad as mine was 10 days out of warranty. Please help, surely this. Hi Debbie, it was a nightmare tried 3 new sim cards non worked. Apple refused to help as it was 10 days out of warranty and i hadnt extended the warranty I hunted Internet and asked couple of American techie guys from my geeks . It seemed to be issue with latest iOS upgrade and my problem happened after I upgraded to its 5.1.1 eventually I had to sit in Apple store with printout of all other affected users. It seemed Americans had been offered new iPads and problem was being acknowledged but not here. Although network providers said they had a lot of customers with same issue. I did get new iPad after long battle and had to pay for extended warranty. Good luck

I think the motherboard is burned. I saw the smoke came out from the left vent.
Can I update my warranty one more year to avoid the cost of repair or just throw
the machine to the rubbish? Its dead and can not light on.

The warranty can be extended within one month of expiration date, how come your laptop short circuited did you have get water on the laptop or something, in which case warranty don't cover it. And you are better off selling the laptop for parts or get a new motherboard off ebay or IBM parts, and change it yourself.

Hardware problems one week after warranty expires

So for no identifiable reason, exactly a week after the one year anniversary of getting my iPhone 4 which I have taken very good care of, the home button starts giving problems (needs repeated presses to get it to work). I'm wondering if anyone else is seeing this? Seems very convenient timing for Apple...

I used my original iphone for three years without issue.
Iphone 3gs for two years, now it is being used by my sister-in-law, still no issues ( almost three years from purchase)
Iphone 4 for a year and a half with no issues.
Ipod touch for 3 years, no issues.
