IPhone strange reset when in e-mail client

Since the update for the iPhone 2 weeks ago, the iPhone has a strage reset when I am deleting or sending e-mail. The screen goes black, and within 10 seconds or so it goes to Home. When I go back into mail, all the e-mails I deleted reappear, while e-mails I was in the process of composing or sending have to be re-typed.
Additionally, there seems to be a bit more lag on various applications. Any ideas?

E75 - Strange character when sending e-mail

I have a Nokia e75 that sends strange characters when sending swedish e-mail.
This was sent:

Whats wrong?
- For your info this e-mail account is a company e-mail with exchange.

The e-mails that you send from your E75 are already encoded with UTF-8 (at least if they contain non-ASCII characters).
The problem is either being cause by an incorrectly set e-mail server (not likely), or by the e-mail client (or web browser) that you're using to read the message.
I've just tested sending an e-mail from my E75 (using an ovi account with Nokia Messaging) containing various non-ASCII characters (ä, ö, ñ, etc.) two different accounts (one of them was read using Lotus Notes, the other is a webmail account), and both display everything correctly.
If you can, send yourself an e-mail containing swedish letters to an e-mail account where you can view the e-mail in "source" form, and check if you see the following lines in the header:
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="utf-8"
Content-Transfer-Encoding: quoted-printable
If you don't see exactly that, please look for lines in the header that begin with "Content" and post them here!
It may help also if you post details of how you are reading the e-mail (webmail, and if so, which browser; or an e-mail client, and if so, which; operating system, language of OS, etc.)

How to reset time for Firefox' mail client, so it would match my desktop's summer time?

After I changed time from winter to summer on my desktop, information about the time when I sent or receive e-mail using Firefox Internet browser and Google mail client is one hour off:
When I check my SENT box, there is information about my immediate recent message that suggests that it has been sent out an hour ago.
I tried to find relevant Google mail client's and Firefox Internet browser settings, but couldn't.
What should I do?

Firefox doesn't do email, it's a web browser.
If you are using Firefox to access your mail, you are using "web-mail". You need to seek support from your service provider or a forum for that service.

You need an IMAP-type email service rather than a POP-type mail service. IMAP automatically does what you want. Contact your email provider to see if they offer IMAP.

IPhone 4 crashes when I tap Mail or Photos - I've reset, updated to 6.1.3 what is next??

Yesterday my iPhone 4 decided to crash every time I tap Mail or Photos apps. The screen is mainly blank just with the icons at the top showing wi-fi etc. I can't access Mail, contacts etc. in settings to delete the account as it crashes when I tap this too. Everything else seems fine. I've updated to 6.1.3 AFTER the problem started , reset by pressing home and start until the apple appears, plugged it into iTunes and reset in settings! What do I do next as I've no idea what's caused this problem. Just before it happened yesterday I was videoing outside in the snow so it got cold but not wet.
If anyone has any ideas I'd be really grateful .

"Cant use iMessage" means:
I can't sign into iMessage with my existing or new Apple User ID and Password (I've tried both).
With iMessage not working I'm not getting a network connection. My network connection only shows AT&T in the General/About/Network when I'm connected to 4G. When I'm connected to my home internet it says no network. When it trys to authorize it says no network connectiont, then the screen clears and says "Waiting for activation."
I've reset all settings, tried to connect to iTunes and Restore but non of this works.
I've done a hard reboot on the phone as well.
I don't have the option to download applications off of iTunes, sms and email messages not going through for hours, emails and voicemails are comiing in hours late. My signal seems to have decreased like the phone is not locating the nearest towers.
I have never jail broken this phone. I don't have viruses. This is a strictly business phone.
I sincerely appreciate your reply and any advice you can give.

Iphone 3G resets when cold

This is my first experience with my iphone 3G and cold weather. When I leave my iphone in my car overnight and try turning it on the next morning it malfunctions. It reverts to the initial setup screen and requests that I sync it with my PC. At this point I can only make emergency calls. To fix the problem, I warm up the phone (to at least 50 degrees) and press the home + on/off buttons to do a reset. After that all is well.
Considering this is a hardware issue i doubt there is a fix just short of a recall that apple can perform.
Apple still hasn't released a software fix for the pixelated photos issue when saving images to the camera roll from email. I'm feeling neglected.

Wish I had checked the specs before I bought my phone! I have only experienced the problem of the camera freezing up when it's cold out, but here in New York, it has gone for 8 or 9 days in a row without getting above freezing even in the daytime. I can usually get in about 3 or 4 pics before it stops working.
For anyone else experiencing this problem, it seems to go right back to normal operation if you warm it up quickly, rather than letting it stay cold for a long time.
I've developed the habit of keeping it in an inside pocket of my coat, and it works again just fine once it warms up just by turning it off and on again. Of course, then it freezes up again within a few minutes outside, but it does seem to start back up again every time.

IPhone soft-resets when receiving/making a call to corrupt(?) contact

Once I had a created a contact that (I think) had called me while I was making the entry. Ever since, the interaction with that contact became weird. Half of the times, his name was displayed when he was calling, while the rest of the times not.
Now I've installed a few apps and I think that, even though I have deleted that contact, there is still a bad/corrupt copy of it somewhere in the memory. I'm saying that because:
- if I dial his number using the keypad, as soon as I'm done dialing, the keypad disappears and I'm back to Home menu.
- whenever I get a call from him, my phone doesn't ring, it does something like a quick soft-reset and I cannot pick it up; it is always displayed as a missed call
- whenever I try to call him, I have no in-call menu, e.g. no Speaker option or even Hang Up option(!), so I can't actually hang up on him! I must turn the phone off if I want to! All I see is the "Tap to return to call" button, which, btw, it doesn't really work, either!
I have tried to delete all contacts - it did no difference. This is why I suspect that there is still a corrupt contact card somewhere.
After I made a full reset, wiping out all data and stuff, the problem disappeared. Unfortunately, I had to make at least a partial restore of my settings, map locations, SMS texts etc. Even though I didn't restore any of my contacts/calendar/notes etc, the problem returned.
Any ideas? I'm running out of options here... I'm actually unable to communicate with a certain person, whether I've filed him as a contact or not!

Contact info and recent calls are included with your iPhone's backup.
Try restoring your iPhone with iTunes as a new iPhone or not from your iPhone's backup.

IPhone keeps reseting when I open an app, text, make a call, or even connect it to a charger. Why?

Starting last night, my iPhone 4 which I purchased from Verizon over the summer began to reset itself if I tried to make a call, send a text message, open an app, read my email, or simply connect it to a charger. It would freeze momentarily, then the screen would go blank with the loading icon and I would have to unlock my phone again. I'm getting very frustrated at how generally difficult it is to utilize Apple's support to find a simple answer. Hopefully someone can help me and this won't get ignored. I have tried the following: turning it off then on again, charging over night, closing all open apps, and checking for new software updates.

Sounds like you need to do some basic user troubleshooting, starting with a reset:
Double-tap your home button and start swiping up on your app windows (the larger windows) to close them out completely. Once they're all closed out, hold down the home button and the power button together until the screen blacks out and the Apple logo shows up on the screen, then let go. This will reboot your phone and will not cause any data loss. Let me know how the phone behaves after this.

Changes in local storage not reflecting in the mail client

I am trying to make changes to INBOX file in the local machine in the profile folder and trying to see if the changes are seen when the thunderbird mail client is open. But I am not seeing any changes. Where the same with SENT file is seen.
What could be the reason? what prevents me from seeing those changes?
I am using Ubuntu 13.10 OS, Thunderbird 26.4.0 version. Mail settings are POP.

When I get mail, no pictures open

I'm using a 4S and had no problem with my iPhone 4.
When I open mail on my 4S and a picture is attached I am unable to open it. Even if it is a jpeg.
I just get the placeholder or whatever it is called.
If I go to my Mac the pictures open just fine.

Thanks. I do know about that and that's what I do 90% of the time.
Also not clicking any of the red green or yellow dots at the top.
It's just every now and again I get this fly away thing happening as I described.
You obviously don't have that problem. I wonder if it is a setting option I put in long ago and
don't know how to go in and undo. Maybe too, I am hitting a key by accident that makes it do that
and don't realize it. Eventually it corrects itself, don't know why. For example I was writing an email
this morning, hit reply to the email, new empty message page opens, Mail page is still there underneath.
Then needed to refer to something in Safari and clicked on Safari. The Mail and Reply I was writing flew up above the top of the screen. Clicked on mail again and Safari flew up out the top of the screen and Mail dropped back down WITHOUT my reply email I was typing. Frustrating. I bet it's something an Apple person cold fix.

I have the same problem as the emails go to my iCloud account that I cannot access!!! I cannot answer the security questions as someone else must have set up my iCloud account. Nothing seems to work. It would be great if someone has some ideas as what can be done to recover the situation?

IPhone making strange sound when receive all types of message.

I've bought my iPhone 4S last week and it started making a really strange sound when receiving all sorts of messages (e-mail, whatsapp, sms). The sound is the sound I selected for each one but it loops 4 or 5 times everytime! What can it be?

If no change after powering your iPhone off and on, try an iPhone reset, which is done by pressing and holding the home button and the sleep/wake or on/off button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo and then release - ignoring the slide to turn off prompt when doing so. An iPhone reset does not affect any data or settings.

Mac Mail client sent messages not on iPhone (Yahoo mail)

I have been having this issue for a while now and it's driving me crazy. Whenever I send a message on my Mac Mail client (using 2010 MacBook white unibody), the sent message does NOT show on my iPhone 5 in the mail app sent folder. I have tried everything I could find to fix this. The Mac Mail settings are set to save the emails on the server and it's set up on Mac Mail as IMAP. My outgoing mail server on my iPhone is set to Yahoo SMTP server.
Strangely enough, emails I send from my iPhone DO show in the sent box on my Mac Mail just not the other way around. Anyone have any insight?

I have the same problem. I kept a watch to see what was happening exactly when I send the mail, and this happened right in front of my eyes: The mail goes and leave the outbox.. it goes into the 'sent' mailbox.. and after a few minutes , it disappears and goes into the trash. It happens not on all mails, but randomly on a few..
After some research, I came to find this and was exactly the problem:

it appears that the client 'mail' has a problem in the synchronization with Imap, or any related accounts that is to be synchronized with a distant server account.
I don't know why Apple is not doing anything because this problem appears for some time now, and mail is getting the worst mail client on the market (can't even protect an account with an access pwd to prevent mails from being seen on a shared mail client ) It would be time that Apple really upgrades the most basic and necessary soft on a computer.
