Iphone stuck on Itunes/USB

Hi, I just tried to update my Iphone 4. Seemed to sync okay and back up the phone. But now my phone is stuck on the Itunes logo with a USB showing. Here is what I have tried:
1. following the support instructions
2. Iphone is not seen by my computer or Itunes
3. Stop/Start Apple mobile device
4 uninstall then reinstall Itunes
5. Iphone will not reboot when I hold down home/off button. Apple logo comes up briefly and then it goes back to Itunes/usb logo
This is my only phone and, well, I am kinda desperate(caregiver and concerned about someone being able to reach me for emergencies)
If anyone has any insight, I would appreciate the help. Otherwise - guess it is Apple or AT&T tomorrow:)

Tried tha age old fix of using a different cord and USB slot on the computer and that got things restarted and working. SHeesh.

The iPhone 3G requires a SIM card in place when restoring. If what you want to do is use the phone as an iPod Touch, you need to insert the deactated SIM last used with the phone.

Iphone 4 is stuck with itunes usb screen, and my computer won't recognize the device, Help!!

My iphone 4 is stuck on the screen with the itunes symbol and usb. When I plug it into my computer it says that it cannot recognize the device and theres a malfunction. I've tried unplugging the port ffrom my phone, going into dfu mode and plugging it bavk in. the apple logo comes on for a minute but then goes right back to the itunes/usb screen. I'm at a lose for what do do..every forumn says dfu mode, but its not working. Any other suggestions? Thanks!

Error updating 4S to 5.1.1 stuck at Itunes-USB screen. Please help !

Hey there. I was about to update my iPhone 4S to 5.1.1. It downloaded (i updated itunes and restarted the pc in the meanwhile, if this matters), yet when it was updating, an error occured. I, of course, have no clue what the number was, only that it was over a thousand, and it contained nr six. Now, my phone is stuck at the iTunes-USB screen. Neither iTunes nor my PC recognize my iPhone anymore.

You can try to connect the phone to a different USB port and then try to restore the phone in recovery mode.

Verifying iphone stuck on itunes

i went to finally update my 4s to ios 5.1.1 and now i have on the screen the usb and itunes symbols and cannot get it off itunes wants me to restore but it stays on verifying for too long not having any error messages just nothing but the symbols on the phone with the occasional time it restarts and i get the apple symbol but then back to square one i tunes is doing nothing but verifying please help i have no apple store near to take to and i need my phone.

Remember where you saved it. Do not open it.
Hold the SHIFT key while clicking the "Update" or "Restore" button in the iPhone tab in iTunes
On Mac:
Hold the option key while clicking the "Update" or "Restore" button in the iPhone tab in iTunes
Subsequently, a dialog box will come up which will allow you to select the firmware file to use for your update. At this point, simply browse to and select the firmware file that you downloaded.

HT201210 I Phone 5 screen stuck on ITunes/USB Cable Pic while sync/download.

I recently was attempting to Sync and Download IPhone 5 from ITunes. The cord was disconnected too soon, and now phone screen is frozen with the ITunes and USB Cable picture. When reconnected to ITunes, I am being forced to Restore (only option provided). I do not want to restore and lose datat and pictures. It has been several months since the last download and don't want to lose. I have powered off while holding down Home Button, have also removed and replaced the SIM Card. No changes..Suggestions please?

Anything that was on the phone that wasn't backed up is already gone. You have no choice but to restore.

Stuck at iTunes+USB Connector Screen on iTouch... Please help!!

Today, Jan. 30th, I tried to download the most recent update for my 1st gen iTouch (2.2.1) and disconnected my iTouch during the process because the update was apparently not working because the iTunes+USB Connector screen was showing, so I tried to reconnect it. The iTunes+USB Connector screen remains frozen on there and it will not go away. I try plugging the iTouch into my computer (Windows) and both my computer and iTunes do not recognize it, or even show that it is connected. I have tried the whole hold down the Sleep/Off Button and Home button method but that does not work. Holding down the Sleep Button does not prompt me to slide it off, it just turns off by itself. I have tried plugging it into my wall-charger, still no luck. And I cannot restore it because iTunes does not pick it up. There are many people, such as myself, who have this same problem and every single response I have seen has said to restart/restore the iPod, and every single time the poster replies that that method failed. Someone.. please help!!

I am having the same problem, and so far it is very frustrating because the only almost viable solution I've found, letting the battery run down and then restoring, doesn't work because the ipod turns itself off after a little while instead of going into sleep mode and using up the battery over a couple days. If anyone has any other ideas, please let me know. I really would rather not have to send it into apple, but I can't think of any other way.

There is no "disk". You have iTunes.
Have you tried a different cable, a different USB port, rebooting the computer?

Iphone stuck on iTunes logo, not recognized by Mac.

Yesterday my phone was connected to iTunes to do an update but there was a loss of power mid update and the phone got stuck on the iTunes logo screen. At the time the battery level was at 1%. I left the phone 'charging' overnight, although I can't confirm if the charge took place or not due to lack of icon.
From the forum I see that to reboot the phone I have to have latest iTunes software (done) and plug the phone into the Mac whilst depressing the home button. Then iTunes should recognize the device and allow me to reboot. But iTunes doesn't recognise it and instead of getting the Apple logo as the forums mention, I just get the iTunes logo again.
I googled and found an app called RecBoot which claims to be able to reboot the iPhone so tried that too, but same problem - device not found.
I have 3 different cables and tried them all with no success (never had a problem with the cables anyway).
Why doesn't iTunes recognize my device and how can I reboot?

Iphone stuck on itune mode with emergency only,help

my iphone froze after i was downloading an update i tried everything but it could not turn on,i restored it but now its just stuck on the itune mode with emergency pgone calls with the itune icon i have tried almost all the troubleshooting,restored it again but nothing is happenning its been 2 days and i am so frustrated i dont know what to do please help

I have haerd that if you hold the reset/sleep + home button to reset, the when the apple logo appears let go of the reset/sleep button and hold the home button and it will put it into discovery mode when this happens plug it into itunes............... it might take a few tries

Ipod touch 2nd generation 3.1.2 firmware stuck on itunes / usb screen

I held both home and the power button to refresh my ipod touch because the internet started to be all laggy, while it was on the apple logo refreshing, i accidently unpluged it and its now stuck on the Itunes setup "the end of the usb that goes to the computer with an arrow pointing up to itunes" i tried putting it on itunes but it said it couldnt regonzize i also tried doing some trick where u turn off the ipod, hold the home button then plug it in to restore it. it said my ipod needed to be restored, i said ok, and the restore button didnt come up. heres a picture. It sounds like you were almost there - but you need to continue holding the Home button until iTunes tells you that it has detected an iPod in recovery mode.

Computer can't find iPhone / Stuck at iTunes Logo

Hey guys. I just got my iPhone 4 that i ordered a while ago and i've run into a problem already.
So as soon as i got the phone i started it and plugged in my SIM-card. It asked me to enter a PIN-number to unlock it, and i did. However, i don't think it unlocked because it was still stuck at the iTunes logo with the "Emergency Call only" slider. I thought well since the iTunes logo is there i'll connect it to iTunes. But no success. My computer/iTunes didn't even notice i plugged the phone in. I figured maybe it's something wrong with my computer or cord, so i tried 2 different cords in 2 different computers. Still no luck. Also tried a 3GS in the computer with the same cord and it worked.
So after that i googled A LOT to try to find other people with the same problem. I could find some similar ones, and i tried some reboots and DFU-mode. Didn't work.
Now i'm still stuck at the iTunes logo with the emergency call slider at the bottom on the screen, and everytime i restart the phone it asks me to activate my sim again. And despite the fact that i successfully do it each time it insists on asking me. My provider tells me the SIM is activated.
Thankful for any help i can get. Is it hardware/software/me that's problem here?

The phone is stuck in this mode because it needs to contact ATT's activation servers when you plug it into itunes. There is most likely a connection issue Firewall/Antivir software blocking certain connections/ports.
Common AV/Firewall programs that cause this issue: Norton, Mcafee, Zone Alarm, and CA (computer associates).
Unfortunately you cant fully "disable" these programs so its a matter of knowing how to configure them or remove them completely using their respective removal tools.
Otherwise, bring the phone to an Apple Retail Store or ATT store to have them activate it for you.

Unable to activate iPhone / Stuck in iTunes

hopefully you are able to help me with this.
Got the old iPhone 4 from my father. I set it all up and everything looked fine except that the iPhone can't connect to my carrier (it says "no service" and is not even searching). So I contacted my carrier this morning to check if my new SIM-Card is activated - It is according to them (I'm not able to check the SIM-Card in another phone).
My next step was to do a backup, restore the iPhone and hope that it'll just work.
After connecting the iPhone to iTunes (11.1.3.8 on a PC) it now says "Activate iPhone - This iPhone is currently linked to an Apple ID xxx (the Apple ID I set up yesterday on the phone and NOT the one my father used!). Sign in with the Apple ID that was used to set up this phone". Perfect, I thought, despite I was wondering that I'm getting this message now (First time connecting this iPhone to iTunes I was able to get to the normal syncing options where I can restore and check for updates etc.)
After typing the correct Apple ID and pw, iTunes is displaying "Connecting to iTunes store" for a few seconds and gets back to the screen where it wants me to enter my Apple ID and pw. I'm not getting any errors.
It is no problem to connect to the iTunes Store via iTunes. iCloud is also working perfectly.
Any ideas why I can't get through the activation process in iTunes?
... or any suggestions how to solve this annoying problem?

Kagey.... I figured it out. In iTunes...under "devices"...where it is supposed to say the name of the phone "Dan's iPhone". I just kept clicking in the blank space where the name was supposed to be and it finally gave me an option to type the name in. You have to find the "magic pixel". Keep trying....it'll work. I was persistent...

"Setup as new iPhone" stuck in iTunes

Could someone help me here? I got my iPhone in october and suddenly the page that shows up the first time you plug it in to iTunes, is showing. I have no idea what to do.

Restore as new iPhone will just erase everything thats on your iPhone.
