hi i was resetting my iphone while it wasnt connected to the computer. now its stuck with the apple logo on it can u please help me. i want to get it out of this mode it was just working not to long ago. thanks you...

I have haerd that if you hold the reset/sleep + home button to reset, the when the apple logo appears let go of the reset/sleep button and hold the home button and it will put it into discovery mode when this happens plug it into itunes............... it might take a few tries

I was updating my Iphone 5 to the new update and left it plugged in to finish the update. When I came back it was stuck on the white loading screen and a message on the computer said iTunes could not connect to the Iphone because it was locked with a passcode and wants me to enter the passcode. However I cannot enter the passcode because the phone won't let me. I cannot get the iphone to shut off or restart as my top button hasn't been very responsive lately. 1) Disconnect, test peripheral devices and network cables - didn't work
2) Perform a Safe Boot - didn't work
3) Reset the NVRAM / PRAM - worked, yay!

Hi , my computer froze today and when I tried to reboot the hard drive starts but stays on a grey screen with a small folder in the middle with an Apple logo in it.

I figurered out the easiest way to fix this annoying problem...
1. Go to SETTINGS
2. SOUNDS
3. Turn ringer all the way down
4. Turn ringer back to desired setting
Should go back to audible ring.

Reset ( No Data will be Lost )
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears. Release the Buttons.

My Ipod Touch suddenly stopped working. It hadtrouble starting up – then suddenly turned on after a few minutes of pushingthe start button. The next time I turned it off, it never started back up. Symptoms:
It is stuck on the apple logo screen (with thecircle of moving bars – as if it is waiting or doing something) and never moveson from this.
When I plug it in and try to restore it:
Whensyncing with my back-up, I get the error: ITunes could not restore it becausean error occurred
WhenI set up a new Ipod, everything downloads. (apps, music etc)
It looks like it is fixed, butwhen I unplug it and try to get it to work, it is still stuck in the apple logoscreen – same as above.
I have also updated all of the software. Still - no go!
When it is plugged in to mycomputer, I am able to play music and see the items in the ipod. Through this,I have even updated my software. This all works .. but that screen with theapple logo does not go away and I just cannot access it manually through the touchscreen or ipod buttons.
Who can help me?

Mac Stuck at Startup Screen with Grey Apple Logo,Empty Progress Bar and a Spinning wheel

Last night the electricity went out and my power surge protector was not working so my iMac just force shut downed.
So, when the electricity came back i turned on my Mac but it is *Stuck in the Startup/Boot Screen with a Grey Apple Logo,a Empty Progress Bar with stays for 1 or 2 minutes and a small Spinning Wheel which would Spin Forver! I Have tried the SMC and Pram reset but no use, i have also tried to insert my OS X Lion 10.7 Installation disk and it would not load if i hold the C Key in the Startup, I Have Managed to go to Disk Utility Through "Recovery HD" but the Volume "Macintosh HD" is Greyed out and Unmounted and i cannot repair it. There are some files that i'd like to Recover if there is a way to fix it without deleting files.
**PLEASE HELP ME FIX THIS!**
Details about the iMac:
iMac 21.5 Inch i think from Mid 2010,
OS X Lion installed maybe 10.7.2 or 10.7.3 (im not sure)

Sounds to me like your hard drive failed on you as a result of the power going out.

If your iMac is a Mid 2010 you qualify for the hard drive replacement program from Apple.
Apple has determined that certain Seagate 1TB hard drives used in 21.5-inch and 27-inch iMac systems may fail. These systems were sold between October 2009 and July 2011.

IPhone stuck - won't move beyond the Apple logo

I just downloaded the latest iPhone update and while it was syncing with my phone, it froze, then I got a message from iTunes saying it couldn't connect to my iPhone. I disconnected and reconnected, and it has said it's synced, but my iPhone won't start now. It turns on, but never moves beyond the Apple logo. Underneath the apple, there's a white bar, as if something is trying to update or download, but nothing ever happens. It just stays stuck there. To restart it, I have to press both the power and home button. I've tried restarting about 5 times, and it does the same each time. I've tried syncing with iTunes again, and still nothing happens.
Has this happened to anybody else before? If so, how did you resolve it?

FIXED! OK guys, this is what I did.
I just took it to the Apple store and they fixed it for me.
I know you were all waiting for a solution that you could do yourself but there wasn't one that I could figure out.
My problem once again:
iTouch 1st Gen with first OS.
Upgraded OS to 3.1.2
Then got hung up on white apple logo with white bar beneath it.
When I took it to the Apple store, they said that the downloaded OS might have been corrupt or not downloaded properly/completely.
So they re-installed the OS for me. Then I was able to go home and sync it with my iTunes without losing anything!
They got some computers and software at the Apple store that I don't think you can get anywhere. Diagnostics stuff. That's why it's better to just let them fix it. They didn't charge me anything for it either.

Hold down the on/off button and the home button for 20 to 30 sec, when the iPod starts and the Apple logo is on the screen release the on/off button but continue to hold the home button until you see the plug into iTunes screen. Connect the iPod to iTunes and you should be good to go.

A few tricks have worked for me.
1. First restart your computer while pressing the S key - that's the safeboot option, and may allow you to get onto your system.
2. Restart your system while pressing Apple-P-R-M; wait until you hear the chime before you release the keys.
3. Restart your system with your current system disk. Update your preferences while you're at it.

Iphone stuck in Recovery Mode with error 9

I tried to update my 3G to IOS 4 and I got error 9 when I try to restore it in DFU mode, since that when I try Recboot, I get out of the Recovery Mode but I see the apple, then white flash, and apple again..over and over..
Could you help me please ???

I encountered the same "Unknown" error during my update to 1.1.3.
The iPhone does not have enough free space to perform the update.
For those encountering this error during a sync that is not related to an update, you'll have to check and see if your issue is related to free space.
For me, the solution was:
1) Choose to NOT sync content on the Music, Photos, Podcasts, and Video tabs. Click Apply.
2) The iPhone should sync to a mostly empty state
3) Click the Update button on the Summary tab
4) At the conclusion of the update, re-select content on the Music, Photos, Podcasts, and Video tabs. Click Sync.

I have tried holding down the lock button and home button and nothing happens it just sits there. The phone is unlocked and jail broken (dumb mistake) what should I do??? I need this as soon as possible!!
