Iphone stuck while powering off! HELP!

I was shutting down my iphone about 45 minutes ago. I got to the slide to power off screen. Did that. But it is stuck with the swirl going in the middle of the phone. It neve powered off, and it won't do anything else...can someone please tell me how to fix my phone??

Try holding the top button. If this doesn't work try holding the home and the top button at the same time.

  • Why does my iPhone 3GS keep powering off into a black screen with what looks like a barcode displayed?

My iPhone 3GS keeps powering off at any point when between 5 and 50% battery remains.
I could be in the middle of texting, receiving a call or using an app when all of a sudden the screen goes black and very faint randomly distributed lines are visible from the top of the screen to the bottom. The display looks a little like a barcode. I am then unable to restart the phone without plugging it into a power supply. I've looked on the Internet and cannot find a similair case.
It is so frustrating and I am continually thinking it will crash at any point.
Any help or suggestions would be very much appreciated.
    Thanks

When the "white symbol" is the white Apple logo, it is starting up....
    Can take some time.

  • Full Battery Drain Overnight while Powered Off. -Defective Unit or?

I bought a new iPod Classic 80gb over the weekend and had charged it the same day via the included USB cable... Powered it off in the evening before going to bed by holding the play/pause button until the screen went black and I wake up the next morning to find that the battery is completely drained and the unit won't power up until its charged again.
Ok, so I figure this might just have been a fluke occurrence and that maybe I did something wrong in turning it off- but the EXACT same thing happened to me again this morning after doing a full charge just the previous night. I powered it off by holding play/pause as soon as it finished charging. Then I get into my car this morning ready to listen to some music on my commute and I get a message saying the battery is completely drained and it needs to be recharged...
How this has happened twice in 4 days I don't know, but hopefully someone may have an idea or might be experiencing the same thing? Am I doing something wrong? I haven't loaded anything other than music onto it and this has happened twice already since I bought it just a few days ago.
There is no video on it whatsoever and the battery has drained from 100% to 0% in a matter of 6 hours, while powered off, on two separate occasions.
I'd hate to think I just wasted $260+ dollars on a dud piece of equipment but if this persists I'll be returning it by week's end as it looks to be defective.

I bought Ipod Nano 2G and have the same problem, Charge 4 hours, then, when I use it , Ipod suddenly restart and the battery drains near to 98% of capacity, or when I power off the nano after use it, next morning or severals hours later, the battery is completly drain, and Ipod doesn't response, just response until I connect to USB port of my Computer or ITrip, and show the "extremely battery low message".
I use my ipod only in my car with my iTrip car, but some times y use it for some Long travels in plane, its works ok, but some days ago ( near to sept. /8 ) start with this failures.
Here some of my Hipotesis, It's may be related with the new software version 1.3.1 ? its install some days ago trought Itunes.
If the problem is the software? some one know if exist some software to downgrade the software from 1.3.1 to older version?
I found some things about this procedure , but only works to 1.2
    Sorry for my inglish.

  • Do any Samsung WP owners have their battery drain to dead while powered off?

I've noticed my ATIV SE battery drains completely dead while powered off in just a couple days.  It has a nearly full charge when powered off and then when I go to power it on, it's dead.

It started in September which was about 2 months after purchasing the phone.  It's a recurring issue.  Yes, in my example, the phone is completely powered off for the full two days.  More specifically, the trend is I turn my phone off for about 10 hours and when I turn it back on it's lost about 12-14% battery charge.  Since posting my question, I've sent it back to Samsung Support for repair (on the second go-around now).  They replace the battery (supposedly) the first time.  The issue was worse after that.  The battery would lose about 21% charge in just 12 hours of being powered off.  The current Samsung repair log states they've replaced the PBA, updated software, and further repair is pending a hardware part (unknown) replacement.

  • IPhone 4 keeps powering off at random times

My iPhone 4 keeps powering off at random times, I have restored it 3 times. It was real bad like every 15-20 mins, but after the restore, it is random.
It may turn off 2 times in an hour and be fine the rest of the day. Or it may turn off every 4 hours...
Nothing triggers it more then Ipod setting, Listening to the ipod.
    Any Ideas?

I had only the base apps. No music no other apps. Just played around with settings and checked mail. It did it with that as well.
Took it to my local apple store. They replaced it. New phone going strong so far. Full restore. All apps, all music, all ringtones, and movies. No issues so far... Seems like it was just a bad phone. But they took care of it!

  • Iphone stuck in infinite loop, HELP!

my iphone after resetting all settings through settings>general>reset, is stuck in an infinite loop.
it turns on, shows the apple logo, then about a minute later the loading symbol appears, after 10mins it quickly flashs black and then starts the loop again, i have left it for over 12 hours, to see if it will fix itself, but it wont.
i cant get it into dfu or recovery mode, it wont even turn off until it runs out of battery and then repeats its loop. when i charge it it just starts the loop again!
please i really need help, if i cant resolve this problem, im not going to buy the ipad and the iphone 4g as i planned to do so.
    please could anyone help!

If you can't get your iPhone into DFU or recovery mode, there is a major problem. You can make an appointment at an Apple store if there is one nearby.
This is a user to user help forum only, so doubtful if any fellow users will lose any sleep over your threat not to purchase an iPad or the next generation iPhone when released if this problem cannot be resolved. If not, more than likely there is a hardware problem or failure. If a problem arises with your PC that you cannot resolve, are you not going to purchase another PC either?

  • IPhone stuck in reboot! Help!

My iPhone started displaying an 'incompatible device' error (even when NOTHING was plugged in). I tried turning it off and back on again, but it won't boot up again. It just keeps rebooting at the Apple logo.
Now nothing recognizes the phone - not iTunes, not iPhoto, or any of my computers. Do I have a brick on my hands? (I have tried every reset/restore trick).
    Thanks for any help.

Try holding the top button to shut off the phone.
If that does not work, hold down the Home button while it's looping and when the Apple comes up, plug the phone into the USB cable. This will try to force a restore of the phone.
If that does not work, take it to your nearest Apple Store or contact support.

  • IPhone 5c was powered off; when turned back on screen only shows in black and white.  Have tried several times with no success. Any suggestions?

I purchased the iPhone 5c about 4 months ago.  I turned it off briefly last night and when I turned it back on, the screen wallpaper and app icons are now in black and white.  I have tried turning it off and on again several times with no success; screen still shows only black and white.  All other functions of phone/text work correctly. Any suggestions on what to try?

    Hello Teri,
You may have greyscale turned on. Try going to Settings > General > Accessibility and toggle that off and it should go back to color. Check out the page below for more information.

so I backed up my iPod touch 4th gen to iCloud and all 3 days ago as well as updating to IOS 6.1.5. Then I powered it off. Tonight (3 days later) I turn it on, connect to the wifi, and go to my photos. I had about 800, now it says it's restoring 1,267 of 3,012.

please help ASAP going away tomorrow!!

Sounds like a glitch occurred. That happens sometimes and the iPod is rebuilding the photo library.
You may end up having to restore from backup

My iPod froze while I was turning it off! I
accidently pressed play button a little too fast,
    but
as it was going to play music, I pressed the off
button, and now it won't do anything! I don't have
    any warranty! Help PLEASE!
Hmmm, just hold down the center button and the menu
button for 10 to 20 seconds, how simple, ironic how
the manual doesn't have any info on how to unfreeze a
frozen ipod. This trick worked for me!!! My problem
was that I disconnected when it said DO NOT
    DISCONNECT...and my ipod froze...I just spend 1
1/2hours trying to figure out how to unfreeze this
    thing...thanks
Yeah, how can the manual missed that? Too bad, I have already restored my ipod before I saw your post. Could have saved me a load of time and effort. Thanks just the same, now I know where to go to if an when if my ipod gets in trouble again.
