IPhone Sync mit Outlook2007 Problem

Hi,
habe gestern IOS5 und ITunes 10 gezogen, also alles auf dem neusten Stand.
Nach der Sync mit Outlook stellete ich fest das mein ganzer Kalender verrückt spielt. Termine sind teilweise bis zu 4-fach im Kalender. Echt toll.
Hat jemand eine Idee woran das liegne kann und wie man das beheben kann ???
Wäre dankbar für Hilfe.....

Same thing here, curious if you other guys have mobile me? I started having the problem to and have a thought that it can be from mobile me issues.

I've just upgraded to iTunes 10.3.1.55 and my iPhone will no longer sync to iTunes. I've tried downloading and reinstalling but this made no difference.
I get the following message:
"iTunes cannot read the contents of the Iphone. Go to the summary tab in iPhone preferences and click Restore to restore this iPhone to factory settings"!
I picked up elsewhere that there was a problem with 10.3 which was supposed to be corrected with 10.3.1 but it seems that this update had not cured the problem.

I've gone thru that Interoperating guide but I'll go thru it again. I don't see any error messages in my server logs. This is a single instance although the database does have multiple server instances connected to it. The data source name would be the same for all the server instances. Mine is the only one using the MDBs & WLS 10.3.1, others are using the stateless session beans. I'm using XA drivers & connection factories but I don't have any specific transactions defined in the Java code. Initially I didn't have the auto-acknowledge specified initially but thought maybe that is the problem. I have not knowingly specified any non-transactional config - if I did it would be via an omission.
So, if there is no problem in the WLS 10.3.1 supporting this acknowledgment then I'll keep reviewing my configuration.

IPhone sync with MacBookPro-- problem with calendar snyc

My iPhone will not sync calendar items from MacBookPro -- Other things seem to sync fine. Can anyone help -- I'm missing appointments!!

I don't think you can force the iPhone to overwrite iCal (though you can do the reverse). I even looked through MobileMe to see if you can do it, and found nothing.
The only suggestion I have is if you have a backup of your Mac somewhere. If you use TimeMachine, you can get an older calendar out of User/Library/Calendar.
Another thought, and this may work only if you have MobileMe, is to go into your MobileMe preferences on your Mac, click on Sync, Advanced, and reset Sync Data. Choose MobileMe to overwrite your Mac.
These are my ideas. Hope they help.

HELP PLEASE!! i recently overhauled the calendar on my iphone and erased everything on iCal on my mac. now when i sync with my computer (i pick "sync all calendars") it erases everything on my iphone and i have to restore from backup to get my calendar info back. I'M GOING MAD!! how can i do a one time, one way sync from iphone to ical (or just merge the two for that matter)? PLEASE HELP!!

when conecting to Itunes). Since my updates Itune wont let me drag and drop any files' even pictures that
were taken with my Iphone on 4.3.3.
Please help as we have no itunes music in Israel, only apps and i cant copy any of my old music from my computer
to my iphones.
If it helps, i am using a pc with 32 bit windows 7.
Other from the obove Itunes works fine and does sync pictures from my computer to my Iphone from "my pictures" folder.

The title of my initial post is a bit misleading. I already took a chance deleting one of the iPhones, hoping if I deleted the wrong one, I can still reauthorize it (all with the same Apple ID acct, so not subject to 90-day waiting period, right?) The iTunes database just updated itself, and it says I have 4 "devices" "in the Cloud", but 5 "computers" associated w my account. How can I find out what computers are associated? Isn't there a list I can see? I dont have a clue what computers they might be. If I use the "Deauthorize All" option, is it a pain to add them all back in. I assume I would have to log in from each computer to reauthorize each one. Would I have to be running the newest OS or version of iTunes to reauthorize? I think I have a PowerBook G4 Titanium with an older OS and iTunes. I'd like to keep that authorized, if possible.

Thanks for your answer! I tried as you say, erase the Sync History, but now does not sync any calendar, only displays the birthday ...do not know whatelse to try.

TS1538 I have 6th gen iPod nano. When I try to sync it my computer tells me it has malfunctioned and Windows does not recognize it. My iPhone syncs fine so the problem must be the iPod. I have reset the iPod several times and no luck. Any suggestions

Mike whether I create a folder within the Pictures Folder that iTunes uses to sync photographs or just copy them into the main folder the result is the same, I end up with Photo Library plus another album containing an identical set of pictures as contained in Photo Library.
The User Manual for iOS5 states ...
You can create, rename, and delete albums on iPhone to help you organize your photos and videos.
Create a album: When viewing albums, tap Edit, then tap Add. Select photos to add to the new album, then tap Done. Note: Albums created on iPhone aren’t synced back to your computer.
Rename an album Tap Edit, then select an album.
Rearrange albums Tap Edit, then drag up or down.
Delete an album Tap Edit, then tap the delete sign.
Yes I can Add a new Album, but cannot delete an album already created. The delete sign does not appear.
In iTunes the only folder that I can see listed is the man one into which iTunes stores pictures, which I have named iPhone Photos.
When I look on my PC this iPhone Photos folder contains another folder named iPod Photo Cache and a multitude of folders created by iTunes, the named F00, F01,F02 etc etc. and a Photo Database file.
Now whether I create a seperate folder within iPhone Photos to store my favourite photos in, or just copy them all into the iPhone Photos folder without being encased within another folder, or create a folder inside the iPod Photo Cache folder the result is the same ...
I end up with Photo Library plus another album containing an identical set of pictures as contained in Photo Library.
I am going around in ever decreasing circles here and getting nowhere fast!!

IPhone sync problem with iCal and Address Book

I have a new iPhone 4 that is not syncing contacts or events. It doesn't seem to matter whether the event or contact is created in my iMac or on the iPhone. Either way, the data doesn't move. During the iPhone synch process, where iTunes tells you what is going on, syncing calendars and contacts doesn't even appear. When I had my iPod Touch, all worked well. I saw a post about resetting in iSync, etc., but when I look there, I don't even see my iPhone, and so far I can't add it. My only option there is to add a bluetooth device. So I need some help. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

You're welcome.
You can't hurt anything by resetting the sync history on your Mac, and doing so may resolve the problem.
Syncing contacts direct with a supported Address Book application and syncing calendar events direct with a supported Calendar app on your computer via the iTunes sync process has nothing to do with a MobileMe account - a trial account or otherwise. Completely separate and not related even if you are syncing contacts and calendar events over the air with your MobileMe account on your iPhone. If you are doing so with your iPhone, syncing direct with the Address Book and iCal via the iTunes sync process is not required.

Iphone sync menu - problem syncing from Outlook

When i select "info" tab on my iphone sync menu, and it gives me "sync Contacts" with "Outlook" option and then two additional options are given:
* All contacts
* Selected Groups
However, it will not allow me to pick "Selected Groups" option - instead automatically defaults to "All contacts". How do I de-select "All contact" so that I can pick "Selected Groups" and choose which folders under Outlook I wish to sync? thanks

It has to do with the way Outlook interprets groups versus the way iOS interprets groups, they are different. I don't have all the information here in front of me right now, but will look after I get home. But I believe if you search here, or look over to the right under "More Like This" you may find infomation about it. See if that helps, and again, I will check later and repost.

Iphone 3g usb sync and charging problem

After resetting 5 authorization process, i could not charge my phone again from computer via usb.
In addition, it has't sync iTunes program any more.
For this reason, I restored the factory settings.
But because of the sync has not taken place, phone did not open.
Now what should i do?

did you sync before this? if you sync before this problem then restore to the factory setting and put back the backup after few days.then after backup try to delete some app that you seldom use. maybe this will work

Für das IPhone habe ich ein besonderes Windows-Benutzerkonto angelegt und die Mediathek unter Public Music gespeichert. Für eine Antwort bin ich dankbar.

I went back on iTunes I've found the the songs I already downloaded in October that should be on my playlist but if I click on them it will charge me again 0,99 cents. 1. iTunes won't offer cloud downloads for songs that it "thinks" are in your library, even if it "knows" the files are missing. If you've exhaustively searched for the missing files and there is no prospect of repair by restoring to them to their original locations, or connecting to new ones, then delete that tracks that display both the missing exclamation mark and are of media kind Purchased/Protected AAC audio file. Don't hide from iTunes in the cloud when asked, close iTunes, then reopen. You can download from the cloud links or iTunes Store > Quicklinks > Purchased > Music > Not on this computer > All songs > Download all.
2. Why? Not sure, perhaps 3rd party tools or accidental key presses combined with previously hidden warning messages when trying to organize the library. There is a hint that using the feature to downsample media as it is synced to a device may also be involved, though I've not replicated it. Whatever the reason a backup would protect your media.

I have been syncing outlook calendar and contacts from my PC to my iPhone with no problems. I have version 1.1.2 on my iPhone and 7.5 or whatever the latest is on iTunes software. The syncs were fine until recently and now I cant sync and get an error message that says "outlook sync client encountered problem" What could possibly have happened....I read some posts that say to go back to iTunes 7.3 etc....this has to be a common problem....any suggestions.

The cause: It is now clear what caused this problem. For years I had several “all-day” events in my Outlook calendar (birthdays, anniversaries, etc.). In May 2012 I decided to make some of them one hour events so I could add alerts to remind me of the event. I did this by dragging them in Outlook to the time I wanted and expanding them to the time slot desired and then adding the alarm.
The symptom: Syncing stopped working for the calendar but continued working for contacts and notes. I didn’t realize sync was failing until months later when I missed two very important phone calls, so when I noticed it the cause was not obvious.
The failed attempts: I’m head of a software firm and my calendar sync is a crucial to my business life so I took this on with a vengeance. From a quick look at events in Outlook and the iPhone I could see that the problem started in May 2012. Events before May were in both Outlook and the iPhone but events after May were only one or the other. Unfortunately I had changed several other things at the same time relating to other events so again the cause was not obvious. MANY calls with AppleCare proved them incompetent so my internal IT guys assisted trying many things. We tried a huge number of calendar changes and several versions of iTunes, iPhone OS and Office as well as both iPhone 4 and 5, all without success.
The fix: After 18 months of frustration, MANY hundreds of $ expense and MANY hours of wasted time I saw a blog that had a calendar sync problem and it indicated all day events were related. I changed the display of the Outlook calendar to the list view, added columns so I could see “all day” event check marks as well as times of events, sorted on the “all day” event column to move them to the top, and for all events that were “all day” events AND had a start and end time, I removed recurrence and then added the annual recurrence back…
After I fixed all events that had BOTH “all day” set and had a start/end time, I tried another sync. It synced for the first time in 18 months!
Problem occurred May 2012 – fixed Nov 2013

Hi, to remove dummy '_ModGrp' entries, rather than crashing the 'Suppr' key on your keyboard, you can use this basic VBA macro (launched for instance from Excel).
It will recursively remove all '_ModGrp...' folders
