Iphone "sync null" problem
Hello, i have this problem when i try to sync with ES2003 SP2. The funny part is that with my account i have no problem but when i setup a different account this error appears. I know that is no iPhone problems. I check the Exchange Server and give me that. Any help.

Have any of you used KB 187498 to disable any of those protocols in IIS? I found a thread where the solution appeared to be reverse those changes to re-enable any of the protocols that you disabled. Check the registry for the keys KB 187498 says to create, and if they exist, delete them. Then reboot and see if the problem is fixed. I haven't tried it myself, but I also have ~10 iPhones using ActiveSync without any problems.

Iphone sync menu - problem syncing from Outlook
When i select "info" tab on my iphone sync menu, and it gives me "sync Contacts" with "Outlook" option and then two additional options are given:
* All contacts
* Selected Groups
However, it will not allow me to pick "Selected Groups" option - instead automatically defaults to "All contacts". How do I de-select "All contact" so that I can pick "Selected Groups" and choose which folders under Outlook I wish to sync? thanksIt has to do with the way Outlook interprets groups versus the way iOS interprets groups, they are different. I don't have all the information here in front of me right now, but will look after I get home. But I believe if you search here, or look over to the right under "More Like This" you may find infomation about it. See if that helps, and again, I will check later and repost.

IPad and iPhone sync pictures problem.
When I try to sync my iPad and iPhone it will get within the last 3 pictures then stop giving me an APPCRASH error message. Then iTunes will shut down. No matter what I do to increase or decrease the number of pictures it always stops 3rd from the last.

I've searched all the posts and tried everything (I think) but still have a problem. Syncing iPhone causes iTunes to freeze with force-quit the only option. Here's what I've tried:
- repaired permissions
- repaired drive (Disk Util)
- repaired drive (Disk Warrior)
- re-installed iTunes
- reset sync history
I've even unchecked each sync item to attempt a one-at-a-time sync. It never gets passed "backing up iPhone", though. What next? Is it the iPhone or the computer causing the problem? I'm at a loss and notice that others have posted similar problems. Could it be the latest iTunes update?FYI - Solution to the problem seems to have been upgrading to Snow Leopard. Syncing now runs without a hitch.

Basically my problem is when I try to sync photos onto my iPhone it says there is no memory left, but however I have over 200 mb of space free, and the file Im trying to sync is 1.5 mb, I even copied the actually picture of the website to see if it was the pictures fault, So it seems iTunes thinks my iPhone is full but it isn't. Any ideas? I've tried most solutions already.
200Mb isn't very much - the phone needs quite a bit of space for its operation. It should transfer 1.5Mb but start by clearing about a load of the unused Apps and video first and then see if it sync's back.

"Not Listend To Recently" iTunes to iPhone Sync Question/Problem

I searched the FAQ and the posts, I see others ask similar question, but not a clear answer yet.
I have a number of Podcasts that I listen to daily, on my iPhone, NEVER on my computer. I regularly get the little ! saying this podcast will not update because you have not listend to it recently. HOW do I get my computer to recognize/sync the fact that I HAVE listened to the podcast recently?
According to the docs, the computer and phone will keep track of where you are in the podcast. The blue dots are always on my iTunes Podcasts.
Thanks in Advance.There is an increasingly common problem where listens on the iPod (and it may well apply to the iPhone as well) are not being updated back to iTunes upon syncing.
Is that the problem you are experiencing? If so, FYI there has been no solution yet. The only remedy, which I found by accident, is to reboot the iTunes machine before syncing the iPod. A pain I know, but give it a try. -
I have 2 iphones syncing on one computer and on the same apple ID.
Before i updatad my Itunes to the last available update and my Iphones to 5.01
i had no problem draging jpg. and mp3 files into my iphones DCIM folder (the picture folder that opens
when conecting to Itunes). Since my updates Itune wont let me drag and drop any files' even pictures that
were taken with my Iphone on 4.3.3.
Please help as we have no itunes music in Israel, only apps and i cant copy any of my old music from my computer
to my iphones.
If it helps, i am using a pc with 32 bit windows 7.
Other from the obove Itunes works fine and does sync pictures from my computer to my Iphone from "my pictures" folder.

I already took a chance deleting one of the iPhones, hoping if I deleted the wrong one, I can still reauthorize it (all with the same Apple ID acct, so not subject to 90-day waiting period, right?) The iTunes database just updated itself, and it says I have 4 "devices" "in the Cloud", but 5 "computers" associated w my account. How can I find out what computers are associated? Isn't there a list I can see? I dont have a clue what computers they might be. If I use the "Deauthorize All" option, is it a pain to add them all back in. I assume I would have to log in from each computer to reauthorize each one. Would I have to be running the newest OS or version of iTunes to reauthorize? I think I have a PowerBook G4 Titanium with an older OS and iTunes. I'd like to keep that authorized, if possible.

. I have 6th gen iPod nano. When I try to sync it my computer tells me it has malfunctioned and Windows does not recognize it. My iPhone syncs fine so the problem must be the iPod. I have reset the iPod several times and no luck. Any suggestions?

IPhone sync problem with iCal and Address Book
I have a new iPhone 4 that is not syncing contacts or events. It doesn't seem to matter whether the event or contact is created in my iMac or on the iPhone. Either way, the data doesn't move. During the iPhone synch process, where iTunes tells you what is going on, syncing calendars and contacts doesn't even appear. When I had my iPod Touch, all worked well. I saw a post about resetting in iSync, etc., but when I look there, I don't even see my iPhone, and so far I can't add it. My only option there is to add a bluetooth device. So I need some help. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

You can't hurt anything by resetting the sync history on your Mac, and doing so may resolve the problem.
Syncing contacts direct with a supported Address Book application and syncing calendar events direct with a supported Calendar app on your computer via the iTunes sync process has nothing to do with a MobileMe account - a trial account or otherwise. Completely separate and not related even if you are syncing contacts and calendar events over the air with your MobileMe account on your iPhone. If you are doing so with your iPhone, syncing direct with the Address Book and iCal via the iTunes sync process is not required. -
I set up my iCloud account on iPad with an exchange account and aol account. I can see exchange and aol emails but not those from .me account or apple email. I got it to show all 3 accounts on my iPhone with no problem. Hat am I missing?
I'm having a similar problem, but I do have the key and is not working anyway.
My old pc was running on windows 7 and my new one is an apple running on Lion.
My phone is an Iphone IV and I can see all the bookmarks there.
In order to sync, what I did was click on the "I don't have the device with me", I entered the key that was provided and the process finish ok. It says congratulations, etc, etc.
But the bookmarks are not there, I tried merging data and replacing data on this computer options but is the same.
Any suggestions? -

The cause: It is now clear what caused this problem. For years I had several “all-day” events in my Outlook calendar (birthdays, anniversaries, etc.). In May 2012 I decided to make some of them one hour events so I could add alerts to remind me of the event. I did this by dragging them in Outlook to the time I wanted and expanding them to the time slot desired and then adding the alarm.
The symptom: Syncing stopped working for the calendar but continued working for contacts and notes. I didn’t realize sync was failing until months later when I missed two very important phone calls, so when I noticed it the cause was not obvious.
The failed attempts: I’m head of a software firm and my calendar sync is a crucial to my business life so I took this on with a vengeance. From a quick look at events in Outlook and the iPhone I could see that the problem started in May 2012. Events before May were in both Outlook and the iPhone but events after May were only one or the other. Unfortunately I had changed several other things at the same time relating to other events so again the cause was not obvious. MANY calls with AppleCare proved them incompetent so my internal IT guys assisted trying many things. We tried a huge number of calendar changes and several versions of iTunes, iPhone OS and Office as well as both iPhone 4 and 5, all without success.
The fix: After 18 months of frustration, MANY hundreds of $ expense and MANY hours of wasted time I saw a blog that had a calendar sync problem and it indicated all day events were related. I changed the display of the Outlook calendar to the list view, added columns so I could see “all day” event check marks as well as times of events, sorted on the “all day” event column to move them to the top, and for all events that were “all day” events AND had a start and end time, I removed recurrence and then added the annual recurrence back…
After I fixed all events that had BOTH “all day” set and had a start/end time, I tried another sync. It synced for the first time in 18 months!

IPhone - Sync issue with Calendar and Outlook 2003
I have been syncing with no problem up to yesterday - now I can't sync my Calendar with my PC. It doesn't make any difference whether I make an entry in iPhone or Outlook. I have reset sync history in iTunes - no change.
The only thing that I can think of that I did out of the ordinary was to copy and paste my contacts into another contacts group in Outlook.
It would appear to be a problem with Outlook as the iPhone syncs with iCal and Address book on my G4 laptop.

AlaniOutlook is definately a problem. Ive been at it for a couple of days going through this thread and others. Still not syncing.
What Apple has to realize is that windows people have different microsoft offices, i use 2000 because the schedule is shared between everyone, this is an addon in newer copys of office.
When i make a call or recieve a call i would like to see an option to add the caller to the schedule .. When your on the phone with the caller you can just hit a button and it brings you right to the calendar and enters the caller in the schedule where ever you place them.
Anyway i will keep at the sync thing for a while and see what happens. Nothing so far. l8r -
My iPhone 5 got problem when connect with lighting cable, this will keep pop up message "this accessory may not be supported", I can't charge or sync at all. I tried plug and unplug many time, still can't detect/charge my iPhone5, but sometime will 'lucky' that can connect to my iTunes and charge battery…
This message will auto pop up also when I don't have plug anything in my iPhone 5, It is very annoying…
The lighting cable is original and now i'm using OS 7.0.4 / iTunes is 11.1.3
What I can do to fix this problem? Thank you.I would try using another cable you can likely borrow one to test from somebody

The Endless Battle With Iphone Syncing
I've been having nothing but problems syncing my reasonably new iPhone with my contacts. When I first got it, I immediately entered contact info into the iPhone itself.
I put in some numbers, some names, a couple pictures for my contacts. Then when I first synced the phone, I got an error message that iTunes couldn't sync the phone with my contacts because an error occurred while merging data.
Through some experimentation, I found that I could sync the iPhone to my addressbook as long as there were no pictures in the contacts. If I tried to put a picture in a contact on the computer, it just wouldn't transfer to the phone. If I tried to put a picture on the phone, I would get an error message when trying to sync to the computer.
I tried all of the regular fixes, i.e. resetting iSync, reinstalling iTunes, trashing and rebuilding AddressBook. Nothing seemed to work. Fed up, I completely reinstalled Mac OS from my restore discs. After a lot of work and trouble, I finally had my iPhone syncing contacts back and forth with my computer, including pictures. For a week.
Until last night.
For some inexplicable reason, it just stopped. I plugged in my phone to sync, went to do something, and came back to see the dreaded popup error message about not being able to merge data. So my first instinct was to use the option to replace the contacts on the phone with the ones on the computer. In a terrible turn of events, all that did was completely erase every contact on my phone. So at this point I can't even tell who's calling me or who I'm calling without looking up their number on my computer's addressbook.
As an experiment, I made a dummy contact entry on the phone with a gibberish name and synced the phone. The contacts on the phone and computer stayed the same. I deleted the contact on the phone, and again synced to the computer using the 'replace all' option. It came back. The gibberish entry came back to my phone after I deleted it. Is it saved somewhere on my computer? Is there some secret addressbook list other than the information stored in /Library/Application Support/Address Book that iTunes ACTUALLY syncs to? I'm at my wits end here. I just want a phone that will WORK without me living in fear of doing destructive restores on my computer every week.
God, if ANYONE could help me with this it would be miraculous. I haven't found any reports of problems exactly like this, but I've found some that are similar. As I said, I tried the usual remedies like resetting iSync preferences and reinstalling iTunes, but I can't get anything to work. I've restored my phone probably a dozen times and my computer half as much. This is frustrating to no end.
-AdamI too have been fighting the same issues. Sometimes synch works and sometimes it doesn't. It is an endless process - the synch function can run for hours and never complete. I have re-installed iTunes dozens of times and have spent - to date - over 32 hours on the phone with apple support - I have two product specialists looking into it. The first three phone folks basically could do nothing - one even suggested that iPhones will not synch with Outlook 2003....the product specialists have been unable to help. I have replaced t he phone thru a warranty exchange at the store - and still nothing. When it does work it's great and then I dont synch for a day or two it loses all connectivity and will not synch. I also canot ustilize exchange....it will not recognize our network and I have had some of the best IT folks in the country try to synch it to an exchange server. I have a number of friends having the same issues - Apple has really dropped the ball on this one....it's back to a Blackberry for me.
