IPhone sync with iCloud

I sync my contacts and calendar through icloud, the calendar works fine but when i update a contact in outlook, it adds a new contact to iphone.  Now i have two records for one contact.  If i delete the old contact and only keep the updated one, it deletes both of them on my phone and pc so i have to re-enter all the info again.

please help!

  • How to sync Address book with iphone on 10.5, while iphone synced with iCloud?

My mac runs leopard 10.5.8. Meanwhile iPhone is updated to 5.1. and synced with iCloud. As we know, OS X 10.5 can not be synced with iCloud. How to sync Address book with iphone? My Address Book on my mac has almost all contacts that can be found on my iPhone. Even with pictures from FB and extra info such as twitter accounts, etc.
The question is - how can I manage my contacts? Now I have added several new entries to my iPhone, but they won't appear on mac's address book. In iTunes the contacts sync box is unchecked due to the fact that iPhone syncs with iCloud. But then I'm wondering where did Address Book get all the contact updates that were made on iPhone?
I'd like to control this whole thing. And is there such thing as one data base, that could used by all devices and would change entries on all of them, if I change or add something on my iPhone?
Or I just have to get Lion and let the iCloud do the magic?
    Thanks,
    Lauris

I just synced my new iPhone (iOS 5.0.1) with the Address Book on my Mac which runs 10.5.8 and iTunes 10.5.2. I launched iTunes and then I connected the iPhone to the Mac. It appeared on the DEVICES list in the left column in iTunes. I selected it and then the Summary screen appeared in the right part of the iTunes window.
In the Backup section of the Summary you can choose whether to 'Back up to iCloud' or 'Back up to this computer'. Even if you have 'Back up to iCloud' selected, there is a 'Sync' button in the bottom right hand corner of the iTUnes window where you can manually initiate a sync with the Mac.
    Hope this helps,
    Dave

  • ICal on Mac 10.7.4 not reliably syncing with iCloud

The past couple of days I noticed a problem with syncing iCal on my Mac running 10.7.4 with iCloud.
My iPad and iPhone sync with iCloud, and the Reminders sync across all devices without any issues.
I also noticed that if I just try to double click on a date (in the month view), it never creates an event, goes into a sync and then blank events show up on iCloud, but never on my Mac where I was actually trying to create the event?
I have checked for updates and have completely restarted my Mac. I have also tried removing and re-establishing all iCloud connections on my Mac. Reminders and older existing events show up fine, just unable to create new events.
    Ideas?
UPDATE: I was just doing some testing. It only fails on ALL DAY appointments. Appointments created with time ranges sync fine.

Just figured this out. There is a setting under the iCal toolbar View -> Show All Day Events
I have no idea why that would now be turned off, but it was. Ughh - user error.

  • Contacts on macbook not syncing with icloud

  • HT1688 I have a new iphone 5. I can not get my contact to sync with icloud on my iMac. I have an msn account for email.

I have an imac with OS X 10.8.2 and an iphone 5. i have AT&T service and msn email account. My contacts and calendar are not syncing with icloud! I have all the settings adjusted correctly and I can not figure out why it won't sync.

iPhones running iOS 6 require iTunes 10.7, which requires OS X 10.6.8 or later. You will have to upgrade OS X, then download the latest version of iTunes.
You can copy your iTunes library to the new machine either manually, or you can use the migration assistant built into OS X to transfer the entire account. Up to 5 computers can be activated using the same iTunes account.

  • I have about 1000 contacts on my iPhone 4 after syncing with iCloud there are only about 120 contacts on iCloud How can I have the same info on both the iCloud and my iPhone

    Hi
I have about 1000 contacts on my iPhone 4 after syncing with iCloud there are only about 120 contacts on iCloud How can I have the same info on both the iCloud and my iPhone

On the iPhone tap Settings > iCloud
Switch Contacts off then back on then reset the device.
Hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button and the Home button down at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.

  • Outlook not syncing with icloud on iphone

outlook not syncing with icloud on iphone?

Also make sure you are using the same iCloud account on your PC and your iPhone.  Go to Settings/iCloud on your iPhone and check the account email address.  Then check the iCloud account on your PC.  If you have a Windows PC, click on the iCloud icon in your system tray to see what icloud email account you are logged into.
I changed the email on my iPhone and. iPad, but forgot to change the email on my PC and my calendars wouldn't sync.  It finally dawned on me that I forgot to change the account on my PC.

  • My iphone is not syncing with iCloud

Hi, i have just noticed (it may have been going on for a few weeks) that my iPhone 4 (IOS6) will not sync with icloud.  This has not been a problem in the past.  If I put a new event on the phone, it is not shown on icloud and vice-versa.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks

Try Settings > Mail, Contacts, Calendars > [scroll down to the Contacts area] > Default Account.
    Is this set to "iCloud"?
Do you have such a setting (Default Account)?  Frankly, I don't ... all my contacts have been in iCloud (only) for years.  But I'm thinking you do have this setting based on this article:

  • Ipad and iphone not syncing with icloud

My ipad AND iphone 4S have stopped syncing with icloud - for calendar and reminders at least - suspect for all apps - any suggestions anyone? Have tried ensuring default calender is the same across all, but thus is also impacting other apps.. Help appreciated.

Do you mean per app? Have done for calendar on iphone, but reluctant to do so on ipad as that's the one that contains loads of updates (as it means deleting everything on the ipad?)... if I have to do this I will eventually, its just that as it's both my iphone and ipad involved, it seems like it might be more likely to be an icloud issue? She said hopefully...

  • Pages/Keynote 2.2.2 No Longer Syncing with iCloud on my iPhone 4S

I have an iPhone 4S with iOS 7.1.2 running the iWork apps (Pages, Keynote, Numbers) version 2.2.2. I've noticed I can no longer have my documents in any of these apps on my iPhone sync with the iCloud server. Anything I draft in the app doesn't get pushed to the server or to my other devices and I can't get any changes made on other devices pushed to my iPhone. YET, I have an iPad 2 running the same version of iOS 7 and same versions of the iWork app and it communicates with the iCloud server flawlessly. I can also see my changes on my Mac running the latest version of Mavericks and the iWork apps and any changes made on my Mac show up on my iPad 2 (and vice versa). And the iWork BETA on the iCloud website shows all of my documents and updates perfectly fine too.
Why is it just my iPhone that is having problems. I use these apps for work and often times it's my iPhone I have on me at all times. Now I can no longer update my documents on the go. I've tried uninstalling the apps, turning on/off iCloud on my iPhone and nothing works. Does anybody have a fix for this? Has anybody else been experiencing these issues?
APPLE, PLEASE FIX iWORK APPS FOR iOS AND HAVE EACH VERSION SYNC FLAWLESSLY WITH iCLOUD PLEASE!!!!!!

Yes, they are appearing in All Mail in the g-mail account on line.  I didn't suspect the iPhone, other than possibly something to do with an update to the iOS.  Any suggestions to cure the problem are appreciated, as are any suggestions for viewing All Mail in my g-mail account sequentially, rather than by threads!
    Thanks very much.

  • IWork on my iPhone no longer syncs with iCloud

About two weeks ago, I noticed that my numbers documents stopped syncing with icloud. I would see the upload icon but nothing would actually happen. Edits I made on my phone wouldn't upload and documents I created on my mac wouldn't download. All other icloud functions work on my phone. My documents are making it to icloud without incident when I create or edit them on my mac.
I've tried reseting my phone, doing a software restore, removing then reinstalling Numbers and Pages and updating both apps. Most recently, I updated to iOS 6. Nothing has worked. Is there anything that I can do short of setting ym iphone up as a new phone. I really don't want to do that and loose my message history and call data.
    thanks

Is it everything that no longer syncs, or is it just one of the things, i.e. just calendar, contacts, notes? Many times as mentioned in the earlier post, it can be caused by a corrupt .pst file. Run the scanpst.exe application that resides in the Office folder. That will run a repair on the .pst file. Go into iTunes and reset the sync history and then try the sync again. If that doesn't help, it is possible there is a corrupt appointment in the calendar. That can cause a problem with syncing.
Try those couple of hints and see if that helps. Come back if it doesn't and let us know some more specifics.

  • While my iphone (6 plus) is synced with icloud, the contacts on icloud are several years old! My phone shows that it was backed up this morning to icloud. Any ideas on why icloud is not updated with my contacts?

  • HT204150 iCloud and my iPhone sync okay but my second Mac does not sync with iCloud. What's wrong?

iCloud and my iPhone sync okay but my second Mac does not sync with iCloud. What's wrong?

Check your settings in System Preferences > iCloud

  • MacBook Pro won't sync with iCloud, although iPhone and iPad are fine.

My MacBook Pro keeps telling me it can't sync with iCloud because my password may be incorrect. I keep re-entering the correct password, but this keeps on happening. iCloud seems to be working fine with iPhone and iPad.  Also, there are 2 iCloud accounts showing on my MacBook, but if I try to delete one, it seems to delete both.

Your signature says you have 10.3.x but presumably this can't be correct - could you please make sure it's correct to prevent confusion. 10.7.2 is required for iCloud - your Mac won't be able to sync with pre-Lion systems.
The fact that you have iCloud accounts showing does suggest you have Lion: are they showing in System Preferences>iCloud, or where? You can only enter one there.
Are the two different or the same? You could try deleting both and then starting the setup again from scratch.

  • IPhone Contacts won't sync with iCloud

    Hi!
I have my Macbook Pro and iPhone 4S synced with iCloud, so everything I do in one device shows up in the other.
About 2 days ago I noticed my iPhone contacts were not syncing with iCloud. Calendars, Notes, etc. is syncing and the Macbook Pro is syncing as well. Only iPhone contacts are not (both ways).
Any ideas are welcome!! Thank you!!!
