IPhone syncing on PC and Mac

I have a Vista PC and sync my Outlook succesfully. I have my iTunes on a mac. I would only like to sync my music from the Mac to the iPhone. When I try to do that iTunes tells that it sync everything. I don't want that, only my music. How can I do that?

On the tabs make sure that only music is checked to sync. Uncheck address book and everything else.

If any of you are like me, I had one single AppleID under MobileMe.  Under my AppleID I had two additional Email addresses, one for my wife and one for her Mother.  Each used their individual email accounts on their login on the home Mac and on their individual Iphones.
In order for them to not lose their email acounts when mobileMe goes away and/or you move your appleID acount from MobileMe to iCloud, you simply need to beaware of the folowing.  Have each person with an email address under your AppleID MobileMe go to www.me.com; enter their email account and password in the corresponding fields.  However, don't press the login button. Instead press the sentence under the login fields that says something to the effect of "do you want to move/migrate to iCloud.  Follow the prompts from there.
In essence what Apple has done--albeit not communicated anywhere--is that they automatically created AppleIDs for each of those additonal email addresses you have/had under MobileMe.  Therefore, use that email and password after moving from MobileMe to iCloud and your good to go.

  • Can I sync PC fonts and Mac fonts using Creative Cloud?

Can I sync PC fonts and Mac fonts using Creative Cloud?

Well, you should have a dedicated sync MIDI cable. Assign Logic to transmit MTC. Tell Cubase to chase it.
    Song settings>Synchronization>MIDI
that is where you can tell Logic to transmit MTC. When routing back to Logic you shuld not expect significant latency and there are ways to offset it. The easiest would probably tell Cubase to run a little ahead of the clock. (Offset)
So there is the Logic settings panel Cubase has one similar, for chasing. If you use a dedicated audio interface and transfer audio digitally from PC to Mac then you would want to have then synced via word clock. I would put Logic as the master here again.
    You're Welcome,

  • Syncing iPhone to both MobileMe *and* Mac w/ merged data

I'm almost sure I've gotten this working before, but for the life of me, I can't seem to figure it out now. I want to sync my contacts and calendar to both my MobileMe account and my computer (which also syncs to my MobileMe account) without having two sets of contacts and calendar items on my iPhone. I want to do this because most of the time I use my iPhone in an always-connected mode (via either 3G or WiFi), so sync from my iPhone to MobileMe for additions and changes works great (and syncs down to my Mac without having to connect my iPhone), but I also often travel internationally where my iPhone is offline for long periods of time, so sync via a cable to my Mac is the only way I sync up contacts and calendar. I don't want two completely separate sets of contacts and calendar items on my iPhone, I want them merged as one but still synced to both MobileMe and my Mac through iTunes.
Possible? If so, what are the steps to make it work?

If you do both, then it will give you two copies.

  • When will the iphone's ical be able to sync with iTunes and Mac's Ical

since the release of the iOS5 I've been unable to have a calendar on my iPhone that is fundamental to my life.
the ical still keeps recording 5, 10, 20, 50 times the same recording whenever I try to sync the iphone with the mac's ical.
I would like to know when will this mishap be fixed so that I can be able to work properly with the iphone schedulling appointments on the iphone and later syncing them with my mac's ical.
    thank you

I can't seem to find any icloud setting on my MBP. The calenders sync just fine between my phone, ipad and on the icloud account, but the MBP iCal has nothing on it.
When I go to itunes, it simply says that things are being automatically synced on icloud and there is no option for me to change anything.
I would just like to bring my MBP iCal up to speed?????

  • Can I download music from my PC onto my new iPhone and still have my iPhone use iTunes on my Mac without a problem? I have no music on the Mac because it is new. Can I download music onto iPhone on both PC and Mac?

Can I download music from my PC onto my new iPhone and still have my iPhone sync with my Mac without a problem?
I've had an iPod over a year and have not done much with it except download music onto it from my PC. Just recently have purchased the iPhone.  When I got my iPod I didn't have a Mac, but now I do.  I am really into my iPhone, so now I want to make sure that I don't do anything wrong. So can I connect my iPhone to both my PC and my Mac without it getting mixed signals and stop working.  I have no music on my Mac but plan to download music into iTunes on it.  So can I download music from both computers without problems onto my iPhone?

    StoneMountainGirl,
No. You can only music to your iPhone from one computer at a time.  If you try to load music onto it from a 2nd computer, it will erase the current content on the iPhone and replace it with whats in the iTunes library you are connected to,

Yes, you can create separate calendars in iCal, and have them sync separately. All controlled inside iTunes when you sync your phone, or Mobileme.

  • Will iphone sync with stickies on mac

Will the iPhone sync with stickies on the mac? If not, is there an app that has a comprable mac app where this can be done. I have been using a blackberry for some time now and use the Notes feature of MS Outlook. I am switching to an iPhone soon and want to retain this or a comprable capability.
    Thanks. Brad.

Stickies cannot be synced with an iPhone.
On a Mac, the Mail application has a notes feature. These notes can be synced with an iPhone - using iTunes.
Mobile Me users can sync via the *cloud*.
The Mac version of Outlook has a more involved setup - which sometimes causes problems. Notes must first be synced to Mail and then to the iPhone.
The Windows version of Outlook might allow for the syncing of notes. I can't say for sure.

  • Change iPhone Sync from PC to Mac Book

I purchased an iPhone when they first came out...and set it up to sync with a Dell Computer. Now, I've purchased a Mac Book Pro and would like to sync it with that.
    1. I can't seem to deauthorize the iPhone from the PC
    2. I can see the iPhone on my Mac Book Pro...but can't sync it
Do I need to completely reset the phone and start from the beginning? Also, now I have to find a way to get my music from my other computers to the new Mac Book Pro...
Any help would be greatly appreciated

An iPhone is not authorized or tied to a particular computer in any way. You can activate an iPhone with a Windows PC and then sync it with a Mac or vice-versa. Some sync their iTunes music and video with their Mac but sync everything else with their Windows PC. You can sync iTunes music and video with one computer but an iPhone is not authorized to any one computer.
What happens when you try to sync your iPhone with your MBP? Any error message provided?
iTunes includes an Export Library and Back Up to Disc options which can be used to transfer your iTunes music from one computer to another.

  • One I cloud account-two iPhones syncing on two different macs.

My iPhone syncs with a mac with Lion OS.  My wife upgraded her phone OS on her mac (it has Snow Leopard).  Her contacts sync but not her calendars.  One recommendation is that she must upgrade to Lion.  There are some good reasons for her not to (certain applications don't run on Lion).  Does she have to upgrade to Lion? Really?  Doesn't her iphone just sync to the cloud and not her computer?

Use iPhoto Library Manager to move Events/Albums/Pics plus associated metadata between Libraries.

  • Sync to PC and Mac?

Alright, I have a bit of a situation here. I'm wanting to get an iPhone to manage everything. All of my music, photos and videos are on my MacBook Pro at home. I also have email there as well. At work, we use Windows XP, Office 2004 and 2007.
Is it possible to have my iPhone sync my calendar at work and everything else at my house? I know that you cant have an iPod registered to two different computers. Is the iPhone allowing you to do that though for easibility?

Sebastian...As long as you can install iTunes on your work computer then you should be OK...iTunes allows you up to 5 computers per account so make sure that you authorize the work computer to manage under same account. You will have to tell each computer what you want it to sync. i.e. Work computer Calender/Contacts and Home Music/Videos. You will not be able to share your media on two computers unless the libraries are completely identacle. Hope this helps.
    Good Luck

  • How to sync iPhone photos with iPad and Mac without duplicates and deleted photos?

I have a MacBook Pro (OS X 10.8.5, iPhoto 9.4.3), an iPad2 (ios 6.1.3) and iPhone (ios 7.0.4).  I take my pictures on the iPhone and use the iPad for viewing.  I use the MBP for storage and backup.  ios 7 seems to organize the photos nicely, so I no longer need iPhoto for organizing.
What is the best, easiest and most efficient way to share, save and backup photos (iCloud prefered versus plugging devices into the MBP) between the 3 devices without duplicates and deleted photos?  With Photo Streaming turned on, I get duplicates and it retains photos that I have deleted.
On all three devices, I turned on Photos & Camera > My Photo Stream and Shared Photo Streams and iCloud > Photo Stream.
On the MBP, I have everything under Photo Stream EXCEPT Automatic Import (I took off recently hoping to eliminate duplicates).
If someone else already asked this question, I apologize.  This is very confusing.

While waiting for a reply, you can read the documentation that was in the box your iPad came in.  It's a book about a Spanish guy called Manual.
The answer is iTunes.  Download it.  Install it.  Read the instructions.  Use it.

  • How can email sync between iphone4 and mac?

I want to read email once on either my iPhone4 or Mac, then delete the email from BOTH DEVICES. I don't want to read the same email on my iPhone4 and my Mac.
Do I need to manage this with my internet service provider (in thsi case Cox), or are there setting in iPhone 4 to take care of this duplicate email phenomenon?
    Thanks.

it will only remove deleted mails when you sync it with the computer
and only one accounts that are set as sync accounts so not when you set them up on the iphone itself
in which case it's a standalone account not a sync one
synced accounts are created in the info tab on the iphone when connected to itunes
otherwise you have to make sure that your email account is pop3 rather then imap and that it's set to delete
mails from server when downloaded that should work
but it needs to be set on both the iphone and the computer

  • HT4236 Sync Both iPhoto and Mac Folder to IOS

Can I sync both photos that are stored in a mac folder and my iphoto photos at the same time?
I don't want my work photos imported to the iphoto library but I'd like to have them on my ipad.
    Thank you

iTunes is set up to sync photos from one source at a time.
