Iphone texting issues

recently updated original iphone and now the text messages do no remain under messages. conversations evaporate. any suggestions?

Same problem here. 1G phone with OS 3.0.1- won't save any of the message threads. This makes texting unusable and i will need to close my account if this can't be fixed ASAP.

Hey was wondering if anyone is using GoLive websites for the iPhone and iPad? I just want my websites to be useable on the mobile devices but be for a computer.
I noticed that when I specify text to be 2 it will be "larger" then text that I set to be 3. Was wondering why this is so? I know that CSS is better but looking for a simplier way.

Mobile Safari automatically scales text. You can disable it by adding this to your 'body' style...
body {-webkit-text-size-adjust:none;}
or...
body {-webkit-text-size-adjust:100%;}
Experiment with which provides the desired results. Pay attention to how the page reacts to pinch zooming.

Permanently deleting iPhone text messages... impossible without 3rd party software?

Am I correct in assuming there is currently NO possible way to permanently delete iPhone text messages and attachments unless you without either A. using 3rd party software that costs loads of money, or B. completely wiping your phone? This is seriously not available on these phones with all the other advanced features and tech?
It saves gigs of txt messages and attachments permanently that takes up all of the space on your phone... I just have a hard time believing this issue hasn't been addressed....

If the amount of storage for your Messages is not decreasing when you delete some (or all), then you need to try resetting your device to see if it will clear it up. I just went to my device and checked the amount of storage being used by Messages (13 MB). Then I deleted the 6 messages I had, and went back to check the Usage. It is now 3 MB.
To reset your device (nothing will be lost): Hold down the Home and Power buttons at the same time and continue to hold them down until the Apple appears (up to 30 seconds). Once the Slide to Unlock screen displays, check your usage again.

That is a new "feature" described in Connect your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch using Continuity
You can turn it off by going to Settings > FaceTime and changing "iPhone Cellular Calls" to off

Then, have them set it up using their own Apple ID, not yours.

My iphone text tone is not working when I plug in the earphone.
My earphone is always plug into the iphone as I use it to answer calls. I notice that iphone does not alert me (sound) when there is a new messages. Instead the text sound is transfer to the earphone speaker.
As the earphone is plug into the iphone and I am not putting it on always, I need it to still hear the text tone whenever I received new messages.
Anyone pls help.. the problem still there even I updated..

The iPhone is working exactly as it is designed.
Your options are:
1) Unplug the headset.
2) Leave the headset plugged in and the earpiece in your ear at all times.
3) Turn on vibrate and put the phone in your pocket.
4) Leave feedback for Apple and hope they deem it worthy of their time to fix.

Long Answer.
Enable the iPhone for Messages. Make sure it Verifies and that your can Send from the iPhone Number.
To do that you can Enable the iMessages account in Messages on the Mac using and Apple ID.
The iPhone can then send from the iPhone Number to the Apple ID (Mac).
Then add the Apple ID to the iPhone.
The Mac will then get a pop up saying that the iPhone is using the Apple ID and the iPhone number.
Accept this Pop up to enable the Mac to "sync" the iPhone Number iMessages.
(Sync in this case is only "Display on All Devices").
Now you can enable Text Forwarding on the iPhone.
IF the Apple ID and iPhone Number are already linked this will launch the app if it is Quit and display the Code number you need.
The number then need to be entered back on the iPhone to complete the process.
The Text Forwarding option on the iPhone should then show the device(s) that are linked this way.

They cannot be deleted they are built into the ios. Look in a folder or another screen and if you cannot find then go to settings/general/reset/reset home screen layout

IPhone Text Shortcuts?

Hey all! Hope you are all getting ready for the holidays!
I have several iPhone text short cuts set up (think text expansion) and I know how to adjust them on all the iOS devices, however I do not think there is a way to adjust them on the Mac Air I have (running ML).
They all work across all devices however I can only add or delete them on the iOS settings. The setting on the Mac in "Language and Text" (under the TEXT tab) does not show any of the ones that exist on the iOS devices.
Does anyone have any ideas on this? I guess I can add them on the iPad or iPhone - but it would be nice to have that on my Mac as well. Or.. is this only possible (if even) on a Mavericks Machine?
The text short cuts that I have on my iOS devices work on the Mac. Just cannot edit or add/delete them as there is not setting similiar to the iPhone/iPad.

Associate your mobile number with your Apple ID, if you haven't already done so.
Sign out of iMessage on the Mac:
          Messages ▹ Preferences ▹ Accounts ▹ Sign out
and on the iPhone:
          Settings ▹ Messages ▹ Send & Receive ▹ Apple ID ▹ Sign out
Then, on the phone, tap
          Use Your Apple ID for iMessage
Sign back into iMessage on both devices and test. If there's no change, you may have to wait for a change in network conditions.

It sounds like you are not able to join your Wi-Fi network with the correct password on 1 out of many devices. I recommend the troubleshooting from the article named:

Restart your iOS device.
Update your device to the latest version of software.
Update your Wi-Fi router to the latest firmware2. For AirPort Base Stations, install updates using the AirPort Utility.
If that troubleshooting does not resolve the issue, I would next try these steps from further down the article:
Unable to connect to a Wi-Fi network
Verify that you're attempting to connect to your desired Wi-Fi network.
Make sure you're entering your Wi-Fi password correctly. Passwords may be case sensitive and may contain numbers or special characters.
Reset network settings by tapping Settings > General > Reset > Reset Network Settings. Note: This will reset all network settings including:
previously connected Wi-Fi networks and passwords
recently used Bluetooth accessories
VPN and APN settings.

D11 Unicode Text Issues

There appear to be several text issues in D11 on Mac OSX
10.4.11 and 10.5.2.
First problem being that setting the style of text to bold or
italic doesn't show any change. This occurs in both Shockwave and
D11 projectors.
Second using Chines Unicode font Song the text in fields
sometimes disappears. Its still there since calculations based on
the content of those fields still works but no text is visible
onscreen.
This font also has the problem where the text will not change
to bold.
Anyone else seenig anything like this or have a solution?

IF we are now limited to setting only font styles that are
specifically defined in the font we're in real trouble.
This is NOT the way it worked in all previous version of
Director that I've used (7, 8, 8.5 MX, MX 2004).
The project I'm converting to D11 deals with font styles as I
would expect in MX 2004 on the very same machine with the same
fonts that D11 refuses to make bold.

I upgraded to the IOS7 and now the 2 iphones seem to be connected via iphone text.

I love the new upgrade but i'm not happy at all that now my other apple iphone3G are some how linked together via text's. Any iphone to iphone text to either of our phones get copied to the other and anyone on my side can respond and it looks like I did it. Both iphones have their own phone mubers as well as completly seperate Itunes accounts. What i did notice that on some of the updates it was linking the 3G to my emails but i hae looked everywhere and cant seem to see where it is linked and i really need it to stop. I use my Iphone 5 for business and I'm afraid there might be some text's from the 3G crossing over and that will not look good to my customer. HELP!!!!!!

I did go in and check and my number is checked and the other phone is not. I will check his phone tonight. It's driving me crazy. Thank you
