  • Going to Puerto Rico

I'm going on vacation to Puerto Rico and ATT's network is really strong down there...before I had my iphone I had another ATT phone that was 3G capable and I had no problems on my last visit 6 months ago. Now I hear that I can't use my iphone down there because of issues with network not being compatible and it wont be untill the iphone is released down there. Is this true?

    I don't believe so.
The iPhone isn't sold in Puerto Rico, but this doesn't mean at&t's network there isn't compatible with the iPhone.
    I just checked at&t's website.
    http://www.wireless.att.com/learn/international/roaming/international-roaming.js p?WT.svl=calltoaction
Selected Puerto Rico, and then the iPhone, which is shown as compatible. I checked international roaming rates in Puerto Rico, and it was zero.

  • IPhone is available to work in PUERTO RICO?

I'm interest to buy an iphone to domicile it in P.R. Do it will work properly?. AT&T has already excellent coverage but the stores cannot sold or activate with area code of Puerto Rico. My doubt is that if I can activate it in US and bring it to Puerto Rico, it was working ok?. And if when AT&T could activate numbers with area code 787(PR),if it will be possible to change the number that had of US the PR one that I'm already use?

I activated mine from Oklahoma to use it in PR. There
aren't any long distance/roaming charges since
National plans include PR and US Virgin Islands in
AT&T's coverage area. You can even activate it from
PR provided you have an US address (friend or
family), as soon it is activated you can change the
address back to a local one as I did. However you
won't be able to change the area code to 787 'til the
iPhone is released in the island. Im back in the
island and I'm happy with my 918 area code until
    then...tirame un email y hablamos...
    Saludos,
Yo voy a salir de viaje a Orlando la semana del 22 al 28. Espero poder conseguirlo en ese tiempo y activarlo alla para usarlo como tu actualmente. • Using the iPhone 4 in Puerto Rico?

While in Puerto Rico my iPhone 4 says "Extended" as the phones network status. Will I be charged the $.69 roaming fee's under this status, or am I clear of these charges with my plan. Any help would be appreciated!

I can clarify latona_az! Most of Puerto Rico is covered under our national domestic plans. However, if the device indicates Roaming, the voice rate is $0.69/min. Therefore, you are roaming and any usage will be charged accordingly. View additional information here http://vz.to/n9PFe9 Thank you.

  • Puerto Rico: Is it roaming charges if you travel with your iPhone?

I am travelling to puerto rico.
I live in the US and I am wondering if I'll be roaming or not.
    Thx

Talke to ATT twice, to confirm what the 1st agent told me.
    SUBJECT:
    iPhone International Roaming
    FACT:
    Apple iPhone
iPhone users roaming internationally need to be aware of the following:
The unlimited data portion of the iPhone rate plan is limited to domestic use
Data is not unlimited when roaming internationally. When using your service outside the U.S., Puerto Rico or U.S. Virgin Islands, international roaming rates apply.
    Decreasing International Data Usage
In order to decrease international data usage, the following options are available to limit automatic or regulated data sessions.
    Disable Email Retrieval
    Tap Settings.
Scroll down and tap the Mail icon.
Tap the first integrated email account.
Slide the email indicator from On to Off .
Click the Mail icon in the upper left hand corner.
Repeat for every integrated email account.
Each account must be turned back on to resume delivery and receipt of email messages.
    Airplane Mode
    Tap Settings.
Slide the Airplane Mode indicator from Off to On.
All voice and data functions of the device are disengaged until this setting is set to Off.
These tips can also help you minimize data usage while roaming internationally:
Utilize WiFi, available in many international hotels, airports, and restaurants to browse the web or check email
Keep Data Roaming "OFF": Be sure to download the Version 1.1.1 upgrade to iPhone. This software update will enable the ability to turn on/off data roaming when traveling outside the U.S . By default, this setting will be in the "OFF" position. The path is: Settings > General > Network > Data Roaming.
Turn off your phone's "auto check" function, and check email manually when needed, using WiFi
Reset the usage tracker to zero when you arrive overseas and monitor your data usage
Consider purchasing an international service plan that includes discounted international data usage. AT&T now offers two discount international data packages. The 20 MB package is $24.99; the 50 MB package is $59.99. See att.com/wirelessinternational for details and international roaming rates.

  • Iphone 4 in Puerto Rico

My iphone service is sporadic in San Juan(The Capital Not in the Mountains). Calls get through at times, my contact list phone numbers need to be manually entered in the keypad otherwise I receive a "call failed" message immediately if I click on a phone number. Very frustrating, my other carrier had no issues.

    rotger wrote:
I also have this issue in PR.  Can't dial from contact list -- says "Call Failed"  but when I dial throught the keypad, manually enetering numbers it works.  Note that there is no *228 in PR -- tried it but does not work.  Any suggestions?
    Hi rotger,
I understand your discontent for the inconvenience of not being able to dial directly from your contacts while in Puerto Rico. I have checked my resources and turning off International Assist on the iPhone 4 has resolved this issue for other customers. To do this please follow this path on your phone Settings>Phone>International Assist.
I trust that the above steps will resolve your dialing concerns. Please keep us posted.

  • Puerto Rico support...

English: All the carriers I mentioned actually still sell the iPhone (Open Mobile still sells the iPhone 5 only and hasn't announced whether or not it will sell the iPhone 5c and 5s). I think it's unfair for us Puerto Rican iOS users to have to deal those issues with the carriers instead of getting support directly from Apple in some way. Aside from the fact that we're an US territory and that the Apple Store Online ships all its non-phone items directly to our island, there's lots of people like me which have iPhones that are still under the one-year limited warranty but won't be provided service because of buying them outside the regular carrier-involved procedures. It certainly is unfortunate that, with the right to get service, we cannot have it.
I know it is so, as I called yesterday to Apple Support and they confirmed it.

  • Purchasing music from Puerto Rico

I've been purchasing music from iTunes since I bought my first iPod a couple of years ago. I the course of this time, I have spent Hundreds of dollars in music.
Recently, my credit card was stolen, so I had to cancel that CC Number and get a new one. When I changed the information for the credit card in iTunes, it automaticly stoped allowing me to download music. The error I receive is that they need a "Valid U.S. Address".
The address I had in the previous credit card was from Puerto Rico as well and I never had any problems with it. As a matter of fact, most of my colleagues in the office are allowed to download using the same billing address I use.
    Will someone please advise???
I work for a publishing company and I respect copyrights and really like to keep it that way, but if Apple doesn't allow me to purchase from them, I will have to go with Limewire or some other "Free" music download site.
    Please help me stay legal!!!!!!

Some people have been having problems with the iTMS database. For instance in Portland, Oregon, iTMS thinks the entire city is in one county. Those users have to change their county to Multnomah, it is the only way iTMS will work.
There is also something messed up regarding an Air Force base in Alaska.
My info doesn't ask for a county, just city and state.
    Does yours have a county?
P.S. Go here http://myinfo.apple.com and make sure everything is OK. It fixed things for these people

  • Puerto Rico implementation-Bank details Infotype

    Folks,
We are implementing Puerto Rico payroll. We are treating all the configuration as part of US. while I was testing employee hire, I noticed in bank details info type the "Bank country key" is defaulted to Puerto Rico I was expecting it to be US Also payment method showing PR related payment methods. Any idea where I am missing? I would like to have Bank key as US and Payment methods should be part of US.
    Any help is greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Srini Nadendla

    Hello,
The bank country key is defaulted base on the employee company code (infotype 0001), the company code - country link is stored in table T001; If you need to modify this default I think you could use badi HRPAD00INFTYBL
The payment method is defaulted based on feature ZLSCH, you can modify it if you need to change the default
Let us know if that works,
    Best regards!
    Federico

  • Unlimited plan for iPad 2 in Puerto Rico?

Well I want to know if I can get unlimited plan for my iPad 2 in puerto rico, because is not a option when I try to get it, just the option of 250MB and the other of 2GB, anyone know what I need to do to get the unlimited?

    Totally different device.
It was the choice of the wireless provider, not Apple. If you want to email them about it they probably have a complaint link at their websites.
Plus, you can't get unlimited data on the iPhone anymore. Both AT&T and Verizon stopped offering it.

  • Roaming in Puerto Rico

Are you charged for using data and voice roaming in Puerto Rico? I have an iPhone 5S is that changes anything.

Usage in Puerto Rico is covered by our US plans so you won't see any extra charges outside of what you normally would see. • Why doesn't my verizon prepaid phone work in San Juan, Puerto Rico?

I called before my trip and was assured my phone would work no problem. Now when I get here I can only text and receive texts. My phone(Droid Maxx) says roaming 3G and i can't call or use data. Have walked all over San Juan today and no luck. Although my dad was able to call me surprisingly around 3. Other than that though it's been horrible. Please someone help me. My fiance and I would like to use our data to post pics in real time and or use our phones in case of an emergency. She has a prepaid iphone 5 so getting either of these phones to work would be a blessing. Thanks!
