IPhone Time Picker's AM/PM Transition Bug
Hello,
There's a pretty sneaky bug in iPhone's time picker that causes AM/PM transitions to be incorrect.
It can potentially cause a lot of grief if not noticed by the user.

Time Picker defaults time to 7:00 when the time is deleted
I have a Lightswitch 2013 desktop silverlight application with a datetime field (not required) but I only use the time portion of the field. I have a screen with a Time Picker on it and when the user deletes the time the system puts 7:00 am in the
field. This only happens in the published application when I debug if I delete the time the time picker is left blank but when looking at the change event the field is changed to the current date with a time of 7:00 AM. If the time was midnight
I could at least do some validation and make the field null. Any ideas why this is happening and how to fix, ideally make the field null but at least make the field midnight.
BeckyI need to clarify this bug, when you delete the time the time is immediately changed back to the original time it doesn't matter what time the original time was. Also the record is not flagged as dirty which means the change event doesn't fire.
As for the UTC we are on Pacific Standard time so there is an 8 hour difference. I did some testing and if I the screen says 8:00 am the local time is 12:00 am which is correct, but I don't think it is related to UTC good catch though.
I've tried the validation and the field can be null, the only way I can get it to change to null is to change the time to some specific value (say midnight) then set it to null in the change event. This works just fine until someone really needs to
set the time to midnight.

"On time pick rate" logical column defined as INT instead of DOUBLE

I noticed that there is a problem with the indicator "Top 10 Plants by Pick Rate". The calculation of this formula results in a decimal number indicating the number of selections made in time in relation to the total number of selections. However, in the "Business Model and Mapping" in "Oracle BI Administration Tool", the Logical Column "On time pick rate" (Core.Fact - Sales - Pick Line) is defined as INT (integer). This produces a truncation of the information and the indicator always displays 0 (zero).
You think this is a bug or is the expected behavior?
RegardsI have the same problem also. I'm using VC++6.0 and ADO 2.71 to perform queries with an Oracle Client 9.2.0.1. The same query on same table but on different Server version returns different results. With the production server, which is an 8.1.7.4 server, a NUMBER column returns a LONG value, while on the Test server, which is a 9.2.0.5.0 server, the same column returns a DOUBLE value. The problem is that using ADO I don't check data type/size when getting values, but I aspect a LONG value because a created the column with NUMBER specification. Could this be a different default from previous server version when creating the NUMBER column without any SCALE and PRECISION attributes?

I have created a field input worksheet in which the user identifies start and end dates for training sessions, using the Date and Time Picker Active X Control. It works fine on-screen, but when the worksheets are printed, the dates that were selected
using the date picker calendar print out in an unreadable, huge font. The large font also appears in the print preview mode. I've tried modifying various properties in design mode, but nothing that I have tried will correct the problem.
Any ideas?The DTPicker seems to have some bugs in it when used on a worksheet. I have overcome the above by setting the size properties to the same size as a cell and the Linked cell property to the
cell under the DTPicker. (Even setting the Linked cell had problems with an error message referring to the Check box property to be set to true so I just set it to true and inserted the linked cell and set the checkbox property back to
false.)
Then the VBA code below that Hides the DTPicker after a date is selected and unhides the DTPicker when the linked cell with the date is selected. The code is for 2 DTPickers so you will need to edit to suit your requirements.
Caveat: If the DTPicker is visible then you can't hide it by selecting the same date again. If this occurs then it is a multi step operation. First select another date and the DTPicker will hide, then click on another cell then back on the cell with
the date to unhide the DTPicker and then select the correct date.

Microsoft Date and Time Picker Control 6.0 (SP6) errors
One of our functioning VBA projects in Outlook 2010, running under Windows 7 Professional (64-bit), unexpectedly stopped functioning a few months ago. When running the VBA macro we started receiving the compile error message:
"Object library invalid or contains references to object definitions that could not be found"
PROBLEM FORM CONTROL: The message was extremely frustrating because it gave no detailed indication of the source of the problem. With a little research, however, we found that the
Microsoft Date and Time Picker Control 6.0 (SP6), on a userform accessed by the macro, was generating the error. A number of older articles, such as the one included below, indicated that we needed
to re-register the MSCOMCT2.OCX form control, which we did successfully (as did the original author in his question link below). Unfortunately, as the original author found, simply re-registering the form control did not resolve the problem.
UNRESOLVED QUESTIONS:
1. Does anyone know why this functioning control would unexpectedly cease to function?
2. Can anyone help us restore the functionality of the 'Microsoft Date and Time Picker Control 6.0 (SP6)'?
3. How come the form control is listed in the object library, is available in the 'Additional Controls' dialog, and can be inserted into a form, without any indication that it is broken?
SUPPORT ENGINEER RUN-AROUND: Another frustration is that a responding support engineer, in the prior article, keeps referring the author back to this forum, yet the question is apparently never answered back here in
the TechNet forum (which ironically refers us back to the original article in the other forum - a game of musical chairs!).
We suspect that the solution to this problem may be similar to resolving this issue for other similar form controls in other Office 2010 application, not just Outlook. After several years, and a myriad questions on the internet regarding
this exact subject, is there someone who can definitively resolve this issue with this control?

Issue with Date and Time Picker on Windows 8.1 and Office 2013
We are having a issue with the Developer tool in Excel called the Date and Time Picker which puts a calendar field into the spreadsheet where you can select a date from the calendar popup
If we change this date field and then save and close and reopen it reverts back to the previous date before the change was made
If we do the same process on a Windows 7 machine with Office 2013 it saves the changes we made to the Date and Time picker fieldHi jdono2,
I'm using Windows 8 and Office 2013,and I can't reproduce this issue.
Please make sure you have already upgraded to the latest version of excel, try to reregister the MSCOMCT2.OCX.
Also you can try to use another date picker add-in to test this issue.

Microsoft Date and Time Picker Control 6.0 - Need help!
I am working on a form in Office 365 Excel 2013 that uses the Microsoft Date and Time Picker Control 6.0. When I set the form up last week, this Active X control was working perfectly. The weekend goes by...and now it's not working at all?
My PC is 64 bit. I believe my version of Office is also 64 bit. When I researched this issue online, I found lots of people who indicated that this control was missing in their development kit. It was and has always been available in mine
(i.e. I didn't have to load an MSCOMCT2 file). Further, this control WAS WORKING when I created it last week. Now it is not, even though no changes have been made to it. I can place the control on the sheet and even set properties for it.
But once I click out of Design Mode, it is not functioning. It doesn't open or respond to any clicks on it.
Can anyone help me identify a reason why it may have suddenly stopped working? I don't think it is macro-related because I have a 'Clear Form' button on the same page and it works just fine.
UPDATE: I've noticed something else peculiar but relevant. My office 365 just did some updates. When updates were completed, it auto-reopened my file. I noticed that the Date/Time Picker button looked funny (really pixelated).
So I hit 'Design Mode' and resized it. After I exited 'Design Mode,' it started working again. I tested it, along with my 'Clear Form' button multiple times. It seemed to be working fine. I closed the document and reopened it.
Enabled Macros. When I tried to use it after reopen, it doesn't work again. Won't respond to ANY attempts to click on it. I can click on 'Design Mode' and it sees the control, edits properties, etc. But when you click out of 'Design Mode,'
it's a dead button again. I also went to someone else's desk to test this form. Same problem. Date/Time picker button doesn't work, even after enabling macros. The Clear Form Button has no problems though.

DATE AND TIME PICKER ACTIVEX NOT WORKING
The microsoft date and time picker (6.0) is not working in systems which doesnt have MS office. What is the solution to use this in systmes which doesnt have office.
I'm not sure what the date and time picker does, but if you use an ActiveX object which does not exist on another system, the only way for it to work is to install MS Office on the target machine. The ActiveX component has to be registered on the systems.
Probably not what you wanted to hear.
Is there any way you can get what you want without using ActiveX?

Have you checked document and data syncing is enabled in settings > iCloud and iCloud is enabled in settings > Pages.
For future reference, you might also consider backing up documents created or edit on your mobile device by sharing a copy to iTunes. -
Date time picker script does not look right when calender pops up

The iPhone time goes backwards: a time warp maybe?
I’m developing an iPhone application which logs GPS data in a SQLite DB, including their timestamps.
When I’m running the application while I’m stationary, the timestamps are exactly what you’d expect, i.e., they matches the actual time shown by a wall clock, and sequential samples have increasing times.
However, when I run the application in a moving car, I notice that every 5-10 minutes or so the timestamp jumps back in time, sometimes by as much as 30 seconds.
For example, I might have a GPS reading with a timestamp of, say, today at 10:10:30, and the next GPS reading would have a timestamp of 10:10:01. After this happens, subsequent samples are well behaved (time is increasing), until after another 5-10 minutes when the time resets back again.
To check whether this problem is only related to the GPS, I started writing in the SQLite DB also the actual time [NSDate date] in which the location manager reports a new point. This time almost equals the GPS sample’s timestamp (within a few mS), and is also subject to the same occasional reset back of 10-30 seconds.
Has anyone seen this? Could it be a result of synching the iPhone time to that of cells along the way? If so, aren’t cells supposed to be synchronized to an atomic clock? If indeed it’s the time difference between cells, why wouldn’t the iPhone sync with the GPS time, which is atomic?

Indeed machabsolutetime() is available on the iPhone, and seems to be the only reliable way to tell the time difference between two subsequent GPS readings. One should not reply on the samples’ timestamps, because from time to time subsequent timestamps go back in time as described in my first post above.
Caveat: the timestamp provided by the Location Manager is supposed to be the exact time in which the sample was taken. When one uses machabsolutetime() when a new point is available, there’s a small delay between the sample and the call of locationManager:didUpdateToLocation:fromLocation:, but hopefully the variance in the delay is small so the delta time between two samples is accurate.
Now, if only machabsolutetime() would have been available on Win98. -
Flex 4 hideEffect transition bug

I'm trying to create a slide effect. Everything works fine except the first hideEffect animation. The content does not become invisible when crossing the TabNavigator's border, which looks really ugly in my current project. The following simple example demonstrates the problem.

Show Only Time picker without calendar + Only Hours from 00:00-09:00
Hello,
Is it possible to show only a Time picker (date picker without calendar) to select time? And set a fix date for the time picker?
Other question: I need a Time Picker window from 00:00 to 09:00 (not 00:00 to 23:59) hours. Is this possible?
