Go ahead and set it up, then you can restore from iCloud backup, or connect to iTunes and restore from your latest backup.

Droid turned itself off, now wont turn back on

I was using my phone when it turned itself off. now it wont go back on. had it a while. shouldnt have been hot. took the battery out for a couple mintues and still nothing. plugged it in and the light comes on when its chargeing. the battery wasnt dead but it was chargeing.

What type of Android do you have? What were you doing when it shut down? When you attempt to turn it back on, does it truly do nothing at all, or does it show a screen of some sort that doesn't proceed?
You said that when you try to charge it, a light comes on. Is there an LED indicator on your particular Android that comes on, or is it a charging emblem on the screen that appears?
It would probably be easier for you to bring it in to your local VZW and have them troubleshoot it for you.

My iPhone 3G has been turning itself off/failing to wake up for a couple of months now. I've tried restoring it and deleting iTunes and then reinstalling. Apple support tried and couldn't fix and said it was an iTunes issue. Their suggestions didn't fix anything and I'm getting really frustrated. I have found several forums on other sites in which lots of people are having this same issue. iPhone is not jailbroken, hasn't been abused, etc. I've turned off push notifications b/c one forum said this would decrease the problem. My phone turns itself off randomly when in sleep mode for no apparent reason. I can do a hard reset and it will come back on after several seconds, but phone calls and texts have been missed. Sometimes they don't show up for several more minutes after the phone is turned back on. This didn't start until around when I updated my software a couple of months ago. Maybe OS3.1? Help, help, help!!!

My iPhone 5s has turned itself off and won't come on or charge again I have already restarted it by holding the on/off switch and home button and it come back on and was working fine, but after an couple of hours it's turned itself back off again!! And won't let me restart it again. I don't know what's caused it as it was working fine yesterday and I hadn't dropped it or gotten it wet, what else can I do??

A phone that is turned off wont receive calls. You could try to do a couple things: plug it in (even though it is fully charged), press and hold the power button down extra hard. Press and hold the power AND home buttons extra hard. Take it to the apple store.

My 3g iphone has started to switch itself off, even whilst sat on my desk, at home overnight, and all with a full charge, this has happend a few times now and by pressing the home and the on/off switch is the only way of turning it back on.

I have just bought an iphone 4, which i think is brilliant and really usefull..........but, it just keeps switching itself off at random times? I have restored it 3 times, but no joy .....can anyone help? or is it just a case of getting it exchanged?

Is it actually powering down, or just having a nap because you are not using it? How do you have to fire it up again? Holding down the button on the top (it's been switched off) or tapping the Home button at the centre bottom (it's been asleep)?

Iphone Music player turns itself off now.

Every time i switch the music player on my Iphone on it closes the program.
is anyone else having this problem and how have you solved it.
Am really pleased i updated the firmware.... Does not connect to my car stereo any more and no longer palys music. I think with the next update it wont work as a phone
Forgot to say dont get landscape albums any more too. although you do have to be very quick as the music player shuts itself down all the time now...

I have the same problem with my iPhone since this morning.
I tried playing a song using the headphones remote while on the home screen (not going through the iPod app), and it'll only play for a couple of seconds before it shuts down.
Haven't sync'd since sunday, when I updated to iOS4

Turned itself off, now won't turn on

Went to bed last night with the phone almost fully charged and switched on. Woke up this morning and it was turned off, if i turned it on it displayed 'nokia' and the white loading dots displayed, but then it switched off again. plugged it in and it now switches on, x terminal says battery level is 0, even though it was about 60 something last night. Anything that would happen that would drain the battery that much overnight? It was connected to wifi, but it always is and battery hasn't been an issue yet

Just to provide some more info, the battery level was basically 'stuck', so when it was charging i had to reboot for it to say it was 94%, then i had to reboot to find it fully charged. It now tells me when it's going down. So i tihnk when i charged it last night before going to bed it didn't really charge (maybe). I did take the battery out this morning, along with the memory card, but not for any lengthy period of time, perhaps one minute. Once i got it charging and switched on i hoped that was the end of it, though i am considering reflashing later.

Brand new 5s turned itself off, now wont switch back on?

Using my phone was at about 20% battery, put it in my pocket and went to use 5 mins later and screen is black and wont switch back on. Has been sitting on charge for about 25 minutes and still nothing even when pressing or holding the home button or top switch. It was fresh out the box yesterday so less than 24hrs old! Any ideas?

Keep in mind, the iPhone is really a mini-computer, & like all computers, sometimes(although rare with an iPhone) needs to be re-booted.
For all pratical purposes, that's what a reset is.

I put my phone down on my desk the battery was at about 60 some odd percent, i come back from getting water and the phone is off, i have plugged it in, held the top and home button at the same time, held the top button only and nothing is turning it back on, any idea whats going on?? or what to do?

Charge it for 15 minutes with the wall charger, then hold the HOME and SLEEP buttons for at leat 15 seconds or until an Apple logo appears.
If that fails or nothing happens at all the phone is broken. If something happens (like any sort of screen display) but the phone does not restart within 5 minutes see: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808

My iPhone 3GS just turns itself off for no reason

My iPhone turns itself off randomly for no reason. It only turns back on once I start charging it again. It will turn itself off sometimes if the battery is quite full or quite low so there isn't a set pattern as to when it happens. Its quite annoying if im not at home as I cant get in touch with anyone then.
I think I need a new battery but does anyone know any different? Has anyone else had the same problem at all?
