what do i do, my iphone turns off every 5 mintues and restars

Hi, as much as I hate doing this, I advise you do a restore of your phone. First, try to restore the your phone as a backup, and if the problem still persists, restore your iPhone as a new phone. Make sure you can then sync all of your apps, contacts, and other content that you have previously synced with your phone that you need or want. If this doesn't work ( which it should, because your taking out all problems from your phone, and basically getting a new phone) you should contact your local apple store and if it's under warranty get a replacement phone.
    Hope this helps!

  • Iphone 4 turn off every few min

I bought a new iphone 4 and I immediatly found out that it turns off every few min and startup again by it self ..
    I don't know if it's a hardware or a software problem !
and I travled away from the country which I bought it from
    what can I do ???

even i am facing this problem from last 1 month and the only answer i receive is get it replaced from Apple. I can't understand what people like us should do as we don't have this warranty. Also i have seen end no of iphone users having the same problem but there is no answer from Apple as how come new iphone's that is also in such large nos are having this unique problem of getting restarted in 3 to 4 minutes. It is for sure that they know there is something is wrong with their product and thats why they replace as soon as customer complains but what people like us will do if they don't have warranty....I think atleast Apple should tell us what the exact problem is????????????????????????????????????

  • I phone 4 keeps turning off every  5 min.

Could be a software issue. Have you restored it through itunes?

  • IPhone turns off at 25-30% battery left.

My iPhone turns off with 25% battery left and it wont turn back on until I plug it in! I have no idea what's causing this!

    ^^IGNORE THAT^^
same problem but mine turns off when using camera with 10-45% of battery remaining
    shows flat battery animation
will NOT turn back on until i plug charger in, then it turns on immediately showing 10-45% of battery
seen far too many people/posts here about this with NO solution
i had a new battery fitted 10 days ago and its still happening
so its NOT the battery and NOT the firmware
    care to explain apple?
or refund me the £300 upfront payment for the device + £38 per month for 2 years!!!!
    + battery replacement fee?
i know its OUTRAGEOUS that im paying this much for a faulty device but my pointless 1 year warranty is no longer valid

    Hi, christietalbert
I have a soloution. Your iOS is broken. The coding algorithms is broken because its thinking your ordering it to shut off. You will have to take it to the apple store.
    Hope it works, ScoutDude13

  • IPhone turns off, thinking it has run out of battery

From time to time (every second or third day) my iPhone turns off thinking it has run out of battery. This is despite the battery % stating it still has a significant amount of power remaining. I have seen it turn off at 17%, 25% and today 38%. When I try to turn it back on by holding down the on/off butting, the screen displays the out of battery screen, telling me to plug it into a charger. When I plug it into a charger, the phone comes back on, and already has the same amount of charge as it did before it turned off. So in today's case when I plugged it back it, and it powered up, the phone had 38% of battery immediately.
What can I do to fix this so the phone uses all its battery life?
    Thanks

For proper reporting of the battery’s state of charge, be sure to go through at least one charge cycle per month (charging the battery to 100% and then completely running it down).

    The Basic Troubleshooting Steps are:
Restart... Reset... Restore from Backup...  Restore as New...
    Restart / Reset
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht1430
    Backing up, Updating and Restoring
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1414
If you try all these steps and you still have issues... Then a Visit to an Apple Store or AASP (Authorized Apple Service Provider) is the Next Step...
Be sure to make an appointment first...

  • When I turn off my mini, and at other random times, i get a message saying I need to restart my computer

When I turn off my mini, and at other random times, i get a simple message that says I need to restart my computer.  any suggestions?

The message to restart your computer, in multiple languages, is a kernel panic. This is usually, but not always, caused by hardware, with memory being the leading cause.
You might want to run the Apple hardware test, which is on the original gray-faced OS X disks that came with the mini. FInd the one that says 'AHT Version x.x' in small print on the label, insert and reboot holding the alt/option key down. Choose the Apple hardware test, and when prompted, choose the extended test. You can also download Rember from http://kelleycomputing.net/rember/ if you want to really test the memory. Set it up and let it run over night.
See this kernel panic FAQs for other ideas: http://www.thexlab.com/faqs/kernelpanics.html

It should be telling you to download the latest iTunes on your computer... you can't install iTunes on your iPhone.

my iphone turned off when using wifi

That sounds like you have internal damage in the SIM card slot. Try taking the phone to an Apple store for evaluation. Make a genius bar appointment first at http://apple.com/retail.

  • My iPhone turns off whenever it goes into standby mode and has to be turned back on to work

My iPhone turns off whenever it goes into standby mode and has to be turned back on to work

That's normal behavior. It turns off automatically in order to preserve the battery. Pushing the On/Off button turns it on immediately. This also requires entering the passcode and prevents the phone from being accessed by anyone but you.

  • If iPhone is reset clearing data is find my iPhone turned off?

If iPhone is reset clearing data is find my iPhone turned off?

Yes, if you wipe the phone, you will no longer be able to track it.
You can lock it with a pass code, but don't wipe it.

  • My iphone turns off and on repeatedly and wont charge?

My iphone turns off and on repeatedly and wont charge?

My software was up to date, I did a restore and a restart. My iphone kept turning off in the middle of the restore so it took a while. Nothing seemed to work. I left it charging over night and it did finally charge.
