IPhone UK - soon available on Orange and T-Mobile
With the recent news that Orange (and T-Mobile) will soon be selling 3G and 3GS iPhone's for the UK market ...
Does this mean that O2 will finally be releasing unlock codes for those whom request it?
In our household we have 3 iPhones, all on O2 ... but have pretty much zero signal. The ability to move our existing iPhones legally over to a new network would be very appealing.
Is there any news on being able to do this yet?

I realise that O2 would do their very best to not release unlock codes.
But surely with the instance of competion in the marketplace, and now the availability of having your iPhone on other UK networks. There would be a legal requirement to be able to move to a competitors network?

Iphone not got network from orange to t mobile with PAC code
Hi. I am sure there is someone on here who can help me... I really just need some advicve. I ened an orange contract on Friday 23rd with a pac code for T mobile. I was told the switch would be done today Monday 26th. This was switchng from orange 3GS to t mobile $S. At about 11.00am my phone (3gs) stopped functioning and has since not functioned - not transferred over to 4S. I have spoken with Orange and t mobile and they both blame one another - saying that it could take up to 24 hours??? Is this tight??? Have I been given the right information? I backed up my 3gs and then restored the 4S from the 3GS back up so that all messages , contacts etc would be transferred. That all went ok - but I am still on the temporary number which only allows me to phone out, not use internet, texts etc. Whos pulling the fast one here? The number that was supposed to be transferred just sound unobtainable now. Orange say that the number has been discontinued and t mobile can't see the number on my accountAny ideas?

I have since been in to the store of purchase and discovered that the temporary number thay gave me is not in fact registered with anyone??? (although I have the sim and it works!!) So - I had to have another iphone and another sim which is registered to my account now and hopefully the PAC code will still be accepted. Having had a mobile number for 14 years it wil be a bit of a shock if I can't bring it with me. Tut - the easiest tasks often turn into a drama! Anyway, Orange account now closed and t mobile account active on temporary number and hopefully will port tomorrow!! I was advised to backup my 3gs and restore the 4S from that backup. This transfers all settings and messages etc. This time I have decided not to do that - just in case something went wrong last time. So I would be interested in finding a way to transferr messages without using a backup - anyone any ideas?

When will the iPhone 6 be available to purchase through Virgin Mobile USA?
I want to upgrade as soon as possible, but unfortunately the iPhone 6 can only be purchased through Virgin Mobile in Canada and Australia so far. Does anyone have any idea when it'll be available here in the US?
You can pre-order it on Friday with a contract with AT&T, Sprint or Verizon and it will not cost you 700$, but remember that you are tied into that contract for 2 years and your phone will be locked to that carrier and you can't get it unlocked until your 2 year contract is up.

I have a problem with wifi in my iphone 4s, i already try everything and download latest version 7.1(11D167) but wifi switch is not working, its my humble request to Apple support team that pls resolve this problem as soon as possible because its a prestiage of Apple Company.

my itunes will not open at all. it occasionally will open but when i plug my iphone into it the program freezes and crashes. please help as soon as possible
i think i might have a solution... i have windows vista and after i installed to latest itunes update everytime i tried to open it it would freeze. I tried everything, including uninstalling itunes and all of its components and reinstalled it numerous times. So i went to the itunes folder in my folders, not on itunes, and i deleted my itunes library and playlists. After that it worked just fine, all of my music was deleted but luckily i had my files saved elsewhere.
I hope this helped! I know its frustrating and APPLE/ITUNES NEED TO FIX THE PROBLEM!!!! -
I have 2 iPhones sharing an apple ID (mine and my partner). we have just created separate ID's now that family sharing is available. but the partner's ID wouldn't let her update apps purchased on my ID! Help Please
This is happening to me also but only with certain apps. The message I get with the apps that won't update is "Update Unavailable with This Apple ID. This update is not available for this Apple ID either because it was bought by a different user or the item was refunded or cancelled".

Your iPhone and iPod can share the same iTunes account. Apps can be freely shared and used by one or both devices. You can't use money in your iTunes account to pay for your phone, but purchased apps can be used by both the iPod and iPhone.

App Store says update available for iPhone app. Try to install and get the message "the item you are trying to buy is no longer available" for three apps in a row. Even when I go to the specific app and press Update, the update begins to install then aborts with this error message.iPhone 3GS running iOS 5.1.1. Also very long delay typing each keystroke in this message.
That error message is usually indicative of a problem with the App Store. If you look through the forums, you'll see that a number of people are experiencing the problem. Try again tomorrow.

iphone contacts "not available" to car phonebook after messing around with Outlook.pst files, names and backups, on my ms XP 2003 laptop. I substituted a much smaller new Personal Folder -Contacts File, with a smaller list of phone numbers (4 only as a test) which successfully synced to the iPhone 4. The iPhone connects to the Skoda Octavia HandsFreeSystem OK (Bluetooth works fine), but now iPhone wont load the new Contacts as it did originally. However a family Nokia (never messed with) can connect properly. So must be the iPhone or more likely an Outlook.pst \ Contacts problem. Ideas?
After fiddling a little more, the following fixed my corrupted outlook.pst file:
1) I made a backup
2) In outlook under file, I exported the calendar to excel
3) In outlook under file, I imported the calendar back to outlook
And voila, it worked. -

I just installed the latest software update on my iPhone this weekend (9/22/12), and now I can't get email. I've restarted and closed all my apps to no avail. I'm able to get email on my laptop, so it's not a problem with my provider. Any ideas?
Originally we were getting the error that the phone could not connect. Then, after deleting the account multiple times and re-adding it again, the error message CHANGED to having to log in to Yahoo and authorize.
When we went to Yahoo in a regular browser and logged in there was an alert telling us about connection attempts so it disabled mobile/iphone connectivity. It required that we change our password FIRST.
Then, we went in to Manage Apps and Webpages and saw that iPhone was not there but Facebook was.
After all of this went back to the phone and deleted then re-added the account again and SUCCESS!
It now also shows up on the Yahoo Manage Apps and Webpages.

But everytime when ever i login in it and serch for the device its shows the device but never give me the location"NO LOCATION AVAILABLE".It is already connected with WIFI and i tried all the stuffs that has been written in the manual. If your router is not identified in a national database (don't recall who maintains it or where it is) then there is no location associated with it. Hence your device cannot be located. I suggest you try your test at some public wifi spot, like a bookstore or coffee shop. These places usually have a location associated with their wifi router.
