[iPhone] Unable to link to Itunes Music Store when calling viewartist.

I am trying to link to a specific artist in the ITMS via the iPhone SDK. I have no problem launching an album view on the iphone but when I call the viewartist link it says Itunes Store is not available on the iphone (works fine on the computer)?

Hi, and welcome to the forums.
It sounds like you have both the originals of your music and your Time Machine backups on your Time Capsule.
If so, that's a problem, in several ways.
Please clarify just exactly what is where, and we can help figure out what to do.

Sure, you can link your own music .mp3 files this way...but it doesn't go directly to your music library. What you would do is to have a copy of your music file saved to the desktop. Then make a link to file (one of the options in the Inspector Hyperlink tab) to this music file. When you publish your page, a copy of the music file will be uploaded to your site as well...so that people clicking on the link that you made can download the file.
You can also drag in your music file to iWeb and use QT to play the music file on your webpage.

I recently restored my iPhone 4 and lost my iTunes music store

Recently restored my iPhone 4 and everything went well except the iTunes music store is missing, the app store is still there. What do I need to do to get it back or where do I look?? I'm lost

If you can't find it on any of your homescreens or app folders, nor via the spotlight search screen (swipe your first homescreen to the right), then have you got Settings > General > Restrictions > iTunes set 'off' ?

After downloading iTunes 7.4.1 - Can not access iTunes Music Store

After downloading iTunes 7.4.1, I am unable to access the iTunes Music Store. When I try to open the store, an error message appears saying _*iTunes could not connect to the iTunes Store. An unknown error has occured (-3212) Make sure your connection is active and try again.*_

Suddenly can't connect to ichat or itunes music store

suddenly i can't connect to ichat or itunes music store. when i try to connect on ichat i get this message:
Could not connect to AIM The connection to the host was unexpectedly lost
When I try to connect to the music store I get:
iTunes could not connect to the Music Store. The network connection was reset. Make sure your network connectionis active and try again.
My internet is working. I can view websites and everything. I don't know what's going on or why. It's been going on for a couple days. I'd be grateful for any help!

ah yes, i had the flets program last year i believe. then i switched to OCN.
if you want to try to connect with another chat program besides iChat, we can try that. you can send me an email with an im name to [email protected] i had some problems with flets and had to call them about it, but it didnt really get resolved so i just switched when i moved to a bigger city.
i just iChatted with a mac user in colorado today, and i just checked and i can connect to the itunes store. are you trying to connect to the japanese itunes store, or another one?

Cannot access the iTunes music store.

Is there a block on iTunes music store when you have a Polish address for your iTunes account? Since changing my address to a Polish one, I can no longer access the music store, only the software applications.

I have not been able to assess Itunes for many months - or the online software update function either. I noticed an Internet Explorer logo pops up every time I launch either function (software update or Itunes music store), then it shows the bar download at 1/3rd, where it stays until I get the timed-out message.
I went to update Explorer (in case that was the problem) and Microsoft says it stopped supporting Mac in 2005!
Is that the problem? Is Mac still using a Microsoft browser to access their updates and store, when Microsoft doesn't even support Mac anymore? I suspect so, or else why does the Explorer logo always show up?
I expect Apple is losing a lot of Itunes sales because of this. It appears I am not the only one having this ongoing problem.
Will upgrading my OS help. or will I get the same Explorer logo?

Why Can't I Download my Podcast from the iPhone's iTunes Music Store

Hi,
Newbie here and was hoping if someone could help me. I recently submitted my podcast feed at the itunes music store and is now currently searchable if i use my itune client on my Mac. No problem on subscribing and everything works great. Now when I search it in the itunes music store via my iphone, I can still search it, and it has 2 reviews but it seems that all episodes are grayed out. I can't do anything with it. I can't download it whatsoever.
Anyone out there with the same issues I'm having? Is it my feed or my phone?

i just tried subscribing, and when i do, i am unable to download any of the podcasts, nor am i able to listen to them in iTunes.
i was able to find your podcast in my iPhone, but i was not able to get it to download like i can with other podcasts.

How is this done? Would like to send someone a link to a specific album so they can purchase & download it.

Easy. Find the album or track in iTunes Music Store, then control-click (or right-click if you have a two-button mouse). One of the options you'll see is "Copy iTunes Music Store URL". Then go to your email (or chat window, etc.) and hit Command-V to paste.

The itunes music store is unable to process purchases at this time.

Any body getting this message b/c it is really frustrating when i want to buy mausic and this message pops up. everything is current and up2date. i got an e-mail from i-tunes telling me that the problem has been fixed, so i went to buy some songs today and the message came up again. what 2 do? "The itunes music store is unable to process purchases at this time. Credit card processing is temporarily unavailable."

I have the same problem, too. I was using paypal, but switched my account from paypal to mastercard, still no go. I can't believe there is no phone or web chat help from apple. Hope they choke to death on their iPod Nano profits. HIRE CUSTOMER SERVICE REPS AND TAKE CARE OF YOUR CURRENT, PAYING CUSTOMERS. There are alternatives out there...

ITunes Music Store - Singapore

Then as has been said elsewhere, you will not be able to use any of the iTunes Music Stores. Your credit card billing address must be in the country of the iTMS, even if you're using PayPal as the payment handler.

Podcast feed not updating correctly in iTunes Music Store

Hi. I doubt anyone is able to help with this question, but this is where Apple "support" directed me...
I've created a podcast feed:

We added a new item to the feed yesterday and it is not appearing in the iTunes Store feed. Subscribing to the feed manually (that is using the feed from our website) works fine, correctly showing the three items. But the iTunes Store feed only shows two items.
I clicked the "Report a concern" link in iTunes but it went 404 (resource not found).
If anyone can shed any light on why this might be happening, and more importantly how I might be able to fix it, that would be much appreciated.

All of a Sudden I Cant Log Into Itunes Music Stores

May someone give me some tips?
Im logged onto wifi and safari/youtube apps works perfectly but when I try to use the Itunes Music Store, it tells me it cannot connect. What's wrong with it?

I think Apple had some server problems with the iTunes store for the iPod Touch. All day I could access the store but every time I'd click (touch) for a preview, I'd get "Unable to play preview." That was with the Wi-Fi at school but the same problem with my home Wi-Fi later.
This evening, though, everything is working fine. So well, in fact, I bought two more songs.

New podcast page not appearing in iTunes Music Store yet

Our latest addition to the WhiskyCast podcast series, WhiskyCast Virtual Tastings, was added to the iTunes Music Store last weekend. However, it's still not showing up in search results unless one types in the complete name of the show, and then only shows up as a single episode -- not with a page of its own like our other podcasts. I know it takes a day or two for new podcasts to show up in the search results, but without the page, there's no "Report a Concern" link for me to check with the iTMS team on whether there's an issue or not. Should I wait a few more days to see if the problem straightens itself out, or is there someone within Apple that I can reach out to to see whether there's a problem with my feed that's keeping the page from showing up.

The link you give is to the Store page for your podcast - this is what the Search results will link to once they become available. Your page does have the 'Report A Concern' link but I shouldn't bother (iin any case it's really meant for people to complain about content or whatever).
It can take some days for the Search results to show; it's been eight, so it should happen any time now. If you want to contact Support (though I don't think you will find them at all helpful), go to http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/ - click on 'Other iTunes Store Features' in the list and then on 'Podcasts'. You will see a link to either 'Express Lane', which will guide you eventually to some contact options, or you may see a link to email them.

Listening to purchaces music without access to iTunes Music store

I put all my purchased music on a USB memory stick and added it to my
iTunes library at work. When I went to play them, I got a popup that
my iTunes couldn't access the iTunes Music Store. Bummer. My work has
me locked out (no access to the music store from work). I'm I just SOL?
I used to have access but lately the company has added more "security".
Is there anyway around this? Can I get access and type something in to
iTunes? I have authorized 3 computers (2 Macs and a PC) at home, but I
still have 2 left, and would like to be able to use my PC at work.

They are all like that. Your iPhone is behaving normally.
Is your coworkers iPod Touch syncing music with his work computer? If so, the music will not be greyed out and will work as you are seeing. The iPhone and Touch will have the songs playable only with the library with which they sync.
