Iphone update corrupted during download
my iphone 6 has currently been in a locked state for a day now
everytime i restore from itunes the download gets corrupted and shows the message (the software for _iphone_ was corrupted)
i tried manually installing but get error 14

I tried to update my ipad air from IOS 7.0.4 to 7.1 on iTunes. I clicked download and update, it started to download normally but when download finished iTunes shows error that "The software for the iphone was corrupted during download".
How can I fix this error ?I had the same problem. In the end I downloaded it manually. Here's the steps assuming you are on a Mac and have an iPad Air (Wifi). If not you can find other restore links here.
In the terminal (it kept failing to download in Safari):
curl http://appldnld.apple.com/iOS7.1/031-4521.20140310.D2Ydl/iPad4,1_7.1_11D167_Rest ore.ipsw >>~/Desktop/iPad4,1_7.1_11D167_Restore.ipsw
Once the file has downloaded, move it to ~/Library/iTunes/iPad Software Updates/
Quit and relaunch iTunes.
Should now work for you. -
Cannot Update to IOS 5 - Error Message : The Software for the iPhone was corrupted during download.
Everytime i connect to itunes and try to update the IOS to IOS 5,
Get pop up box after agreeing to terms and conditions stating the below,
The Software for the iPhone was corrupted during download.
Disconnect and reconnect, then try again. Make sure your network settings are correct and your connection is active, or try again later.
What could be the problem here?

OS: Windows XP
Connected to Internet at Work through VPN
Itunes 10.5 installed
Latest IOS up to IOS 5 installed
IPhone synced and backed up
Tried reconnect/restart pc, but no change
Also, cannot download direct ipsw file as site blocked from work vpn
I have updated IPhone IOS previously from the current VPN/Work environment

It downloaded Safari 5.1.1 to my macbookpro but I hate it (no back button and keeps on crashing) - I'm on Snow Leopard - the initial message is that it will take 10 hours to download. I may try at work where they have a faster connection.
However, is there another way to download the Iphone update (and Ipad2)?

IOS 5 Firmware update Corrupted during download
Everytime I try to update my iPhone 4 to iOS 5 I this get an error message.
"The software for the iPhone "iphone" was corrupted during download.
Disconnect and reconnect, then try again. Make sure your network settings are correct and your network connection is active, or try again later."I have been having the same problem - just very inconsistenly - two iPhones, one attached to Mac and the other to Windows updated just fine yesterday - today the iPad connected to the same Mac keeps saying corrupted - it is sayingonly 3 minutes to download - compared to about 10 or 12 minutes for the iPhones yesterday.
I restarted iTunes - and the download is now showing more like 10 or 12 minutes total. and then it worked. or at least it looked like it was going to - got the full 700MB or so download and THEN said it was corrupted.
this also happened when iOS 5 first came out - I just kept trying - might have rebooted my cable modem - but not really sure that anythign I did or did not do had any impact on it.
You would think that if the issue was on Apple's end that they would have some wya to detect multiple failed attempts to download and look into any network issues on their end that might be affecting this.
Download of iPod update on another mac on the same netwokr is saying 30 minutes to download - which seems odd since the file sisze is the same - but for some reason that download is only running at about 2Mb/sec comared to 10Mb/sec for the iPhone and iPad downloads on this Mac. -

Try force quitting the app...
Hold the On/Off Sleep/Wake button down for a few seconds until a red slider appears, then press and hold the Home button until the app quits. -

ive even deactivated the firewall and tried to install it from several computers and it still doesent word. wth is going on?

IOS5 software "corrupted" during download
As it says, for the 2nd time (wasting 1.5gb of my 3gb monthly download ) I get the message "The software for the iPhone was corrupted during download" - error 1403
I'm using my iphone4 as my personal hotspot, running Norton 360, windows7 64bit. Before I completly lose it, what might be some glaringly obvious issues?
The previous software udate 4.3.5 was fine using Vista on my old computerTry disabling your firewall; both on your PC and the external Firewall/Router.

Trouble updating to iOS 5 on my wife's iPhone 4 connected to our iM, right before download finishes downloading iTunes comes back with the error message Software corrupted during download. Please check network settings and try again later, however there was no problem updating my iPhone to iOS 5 through iTunes connceted to my dell laptop on the same wireless network. What gives?
Try disabling your firewall; both on your PC and the external Firewall/Router.

I have an Intel Desktop iMac and I am upgrading from Tiger to Snow Leopard. I keep getting an error when it tries to load the Mac OS X update combined. It says that it was corrupted during download. Have try loading from Apple website Mac OS X V10.6.7 upgrade combined but it still won't do it? Any other suggestions. The printer is not working either - I am not sure if they are connected. Everything else is fine.
Please excuse, but I have to ask an obvious question: Did you already update using the Snow Leopard Retail install DVD? (You must do this first; 10.6.7 is just an update if you already have 10.6.) Are you, then, trying to update from whatever version was on the install DVD to 10.6.7?
Otherwise, I'd keep trying. The 10.6.7 Combo is a huge update. -

What did iTunes Support say when you contacted them ? If it's been more than 48 hours since you contacted them and you haven't had a reply then contact them again.
If you haven't yet contacted them, then to do so :
- go to http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/ww
- click on your country's flag
- click on the Contact Support at the bottom of the left-hand column
- click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page
- then Purchases, Billing & Redemption -
How can I solve this? Every time I have the option to update an application I receive the same notification: "The update could not be verified. It may have been corrupted during downloading. The update will be downloaded and checked again the next time that Software Update runs"
Can we eliminate one minor possibility: are you in the UK and using Virgin Media cable connection? I ask because the latest 'Superhub' firmware is corrupting large downloads for some people.

Which latest update? Details get answers. Rather than using SU, DL and install from http://support.apple.com/downloads/.

Once it has started navigate to 10.6.8 Update Combo and download and install per the directions. After it has installed if you still have difficulty re-starting, go to System Preferences - Startup Disk and make sure the internal HD is highlighted and click restart again and restart again in Safe Mode. Finally restart normally.
BTW I have asked the moderator to remove the serial number of your machine for your own security. Please DO NOT post private information such as email addresses, serial numbers etc.. to a public forum. -

Nikon RAW NEF files have white balance blown out (iPhoto 7.1.4)
I had no problems opening my Nikon D200 RAW NEF files in iPhoto until about a month ago. I think I downloaded a patch for compatibility of camera files? After that when ever I open A raw file, the colors and white balance are blown out.
